  1. The biggest crime is not getting 2 good strikers + 2 attacking midfielders firing. What's the point in signing another striker for Gerrards methods to make them regress? Ings - Proven goalscorer for the last 10 years. When we signed him only Harry Kane has scored more PL goals since he left Liverpool. Watkins 10-15 goal a season striker + England international Buendia - Every single Norwich fan thinks he is easily Champions League quality. He also had better stats than Jack in the championship Countinho - a year before we signed him, he was playing CL semi finals... oh and it's Coutinho. All 4 of those players have regressed. It's not fluke.. its the managers job to get the best out of them. He is not, he is making them worse.
  2. Trying to get 5 more Gerrard autographs before he's sacked.
  3. I was at the game last night. Fans openly turned on Gerrard now, chants of we want Gerrard out etc. Short of beating Chelsea and Fulham he won't come back from this. It's a matter of time, pull the trigger now. Incidentally, the away fans never turned on Dean Smith.
  4. I'm really concerned at the ineptitude of our board at the moment. He's clearly not ready / learning on the job. It's not going to change anytime soon. Just sack him, get it over and done with and get in a proper manager. I don't understand why we are waiting any longer for the inevitable? If we draw or eek a result out against Forest, then it will be Fulham or Brentford at home.
  5. It's blatantly obvious to every Villa fan that it's just a matter of time until Gerrard is sacked. He's clearly out of his depth and regressed with a better set of players. It's tremendously disappointing the board are happy for us to "limp on" until there's a result bad enough to sack him. Just sack him now and get it over and done with.
  6. Problem is, he will be training himself therefore he will automatically become half the player he used to be.
  7. Problem is, when a player goes on such ridiculous wages it raises the bar for general wages throughout the league.
  8. An angry guy on the For The Love of Paul Mcgrath podcast summed it up perfectly for me. Why are we, Aston Villa, with all our resources allowing a manager to "Learn on the Job". It's insane when you look at it that way. If the owners are serious, then we need a serious manager.
  9. I was quite content with the strategy being mentioned under DS. Buy young players. As soon as they get to 28/29 look to move on for a profit, or at least get back what you paid. Only exceptions are goalkeeper (33/34) and maybe CB (32). Seems since Gerrard has come in, we've ripped that plan up. Unless we quickly double our commercial revenue, that's just unsustainable against the big 6 and FFP ensuring they protect their place.
  10. No more. I'm in the office and just felt a twinge.
  11. You do realise that all politicians are hired based off a popularity contest? That's what they all think about.
  12. You'd rather have 100 trained men than 10,000 untrained. Untrained personnel are more of a risk and more danger than they are worth. In 2018, we did a corporate team building exercise where we did airsoft against 2 former SAS guys. There was 53 of us. We lost 53:0, 47:0 and 40:0 (people dropped out as the rounds went on).
  13. I play football on Monday nights with the fan waving his arms up and down (Rocket Ron). Safe to say he's getting pelters for this.
  14. Slipped into the bottom 3, with Coventry and Huddersfield below with games in hand . This is hilarious
  15. Morale is a massive part of this. Russians aren't even sure why they are in this war, therefore far more likely to desert or retreat under conflict. Ukrainians will die for their land. Add in sophisticated weaponry for UA, it will take something huge for this momentum to change
  16. If it's Rafa, then this Monday night will be the worst game of football ever played on Television. Effectively a 1 on 1 game between Mings and Cook lumping it to each other.

    Liverpool

The Anfield atmosphere is genuinely the biggest myth in football. What ground wouldn't be loud beating Barca 4:0 after being 3 down in the first leg? I genuinely believe it's on par with the Eithad for dead atmospheres on "normal games".

    Wolves

Fosun had 18% wiped off their value since September, so can't imaging there's going to be much available for any new manager to bring in. Really talented, but unbalanced squad. Be interesting to see who Mendez hires as his clubs manager.
  19. Without wishing to go all Alex Jones. We are close to $1 = £1 = 1 Euro: Ideal time to bring in a centralised (digital) IMF approved currency.
  20. He wouldn't attack a London, Paris etc as that would end Russia in a matter of weeks. He could attack Ukraine to see what response they get: which would be catastrophic but not completely debilitating. If he attacked a big NATO capital city, then Russia would be completely steam rolled by the entire NATO / EU military within a matter of weeks.
  21. US has already been clear. NSA saying there's been high level meetings which have dictated catastrophic consequences for Russia should a nuke be used. Video link to NBC I'd suggest if anyone pushed that button, they'd find a B2 over their head within 3 hours.
  22. The US couldn't be anymore clear. NSA advisor interview linked below from The Guardian. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/sep/25/us-russia-ukraine-war-nuclear-weapons-jake-sullivan
  23. The majority of people who change their votes are mainly led by news headlines and catchy manifesto promises. They don't have time to dive into the details. Therefore, elections are about who can make the most outlandish promises in their manifesto, that to the bulk of the country are at least semi-feasible . Keeping them is completely irrelevant (neither party does)
  24. All those 2020/2021 (covid time) 2 year fixed term mortgages are about to expire. House prices will not go up between now and the next election.
