  1. If Tom Ross said that, expect him to sign for Blose in the next 48 hours. 6 or 7 million is way too much for a 30 year old. 2 years of good football out of him and no sell on value.
  2. Villa find themselves in 13th place in the Premiership. What do you think is a realistic target for Houllier in his first season. Anywhere between 6-12. How do you feel Gerard Houllier has settled and what do you hope from him as a manager I think he has settled well. I expect him to keep us as a upper mid table team, and im HOPING and praying he does keep trust in the youth, and doesn't completely change the team, just adds a few quality additions. Do you feel that Houllier can get the best out of Emile Heskey Heskey isn't that young anymore and if we are playing with 1 up front it has to be gabby. After Citeh came in and took two of your better young players what do you think needs doing to replace them. Is youth development an option or is the only way the transfer window. I love and am proud of our Youth developement. However a team of Barry Bannans need to be supplemented by quality players. Do you feel that Robert Pires is an inspired signing or do you feel he is ‘over the hill’ With regards to playing a crucial playing role I think he is over the hill. However I think he is a fantastic signing because our youth players can learn a lot from him. Liverpool have a bit of “history” with regards to American owners. Villa have had Randy Lerner in since 2006. What positives and negatives do you feel he brings to the club. Positives, well he has spent A LOT of money, however you look at it and bought the fans closer to the club with things like the generals thread for example. I feel Villa fans are very lucky to be able to have contact and information from The General. How important for supporter/club development do you feel this has been and do you think it should be encouraged across other clubs I think its extremely important. At the end of the day we are parting with a lot of hard earned money, we want to know what's going on from inside the club, not stupid pointless watered down press statements. Martin O’Neill left at a crucial part of the season and it seems since then he is constantly being linked with the Liverpool job by the media as soon as an opportunity arises. How do you feel he would do as Liverpool manager, given the current financial situation and also with funds available. In my opinion Martins "gift" if you like is man management. He can make average players play very well. I'm not a big fan of him with regards to recruitment though. Unfortunately I dont think the best manager in the world could get Past Chelski, Arsenal and Man ure and with Man Citeh's spending Power is going to be a daunting prospect with little funds to get back in the top 4. How do you feel Roy Hodgson has done since taking the Liverpool job. Too early to tell, judge him at the end of the season. Other than Gerrard or Torres who would you take from the Liverpool squad and why? Reina, one of the best keepers in the world, Friedel is aging and we need a replacement. Agger is a good defender but its injury prone, if he was fit id have him.. I;'d like Ryan babbel, i do think with a club behind him and fans supporting him whilst playing regular football he could fulfil his potential. Last season we had two good games together with Villa winning at Anfield and Liverpool winning at Villa Park. Both games had “talking points” in them and I feel this is always the way with our encounters. What do you expect from this game. Bore draw! And finally what would you predict as a final score for our game? 1-1 or 0-0

    Twitter

If anyone is following stan collymore on Twitter. Ask him why he was such a Pr*ck to my girlfriend on check in at Birmingham airport last year, because she wouldn't let him off with baggage that was 3kg over weight without paying!!!!! In front of his family too. He probably smashed his girlfriend up after, for not packing the cases properly. Rant Over
  4. Me too, just got back from Wembley. Even the Man ure fans outside the ground were unanimous in saying the Vidic should of gone. We Lost cause Man U were the better team, and they have that little shrek like gem called Rooney (best player in the world at this moment). That said, if we were 1-0 up with 10 men from the 4th minute then the game could and should of gone completely differently with UTD chasing the game and tiring towards the end.
  5. Think they said on the radio it would cost them 17.5 million to sack him.. They can't afford to get rid of him. Brilliant!!!!

    Chris Moyles

    Chris Moyles = Legend
  7. THAT'S RIDICULOUS!!! How on gods earth have a third of people voted for MoN to go? Remember where we were when MoN took over? What a joke!!!! We have no divine right to be where we are in the scheme of things. We are up there with "the best of the rest".... What do you guys ****** expect? Go and support Newcastle, and see what happens to a club who demand success, and chop and change managers when they don't. Pathetic Rant over.
  8. Hi I just got back from a thoroughly enjoyable game. For the first ten minutes or so they were all over us. We just didn't look up for it. They built up pressure and had numerous corners, bringing out a fantastic double save by Friedel, and a couple of brushes with the woodwork. Bannan, Andreas Weimann and Marc Albrighton looked very lively all game. After a short corner routine wonderfully executed by Albrighton and Bannan, Weimann nicked in front of the keeper to head in the first. Harewood missed 2 guilt edged chances.. he worked hard, but really is a useless finisher. Finally, after half time, the goal of the game. Super Curtis Davis got a bit bored sitting in defence. He run the ball out, out muscled 2 Peterborough defenders, played a one-two with harewood and slotted it home. A very nice goal. at Around 70 mins Sidwell capped another effective performance by passing the ball around the keeper from just inside the box. Overall a good performance and start to pre-season. Knight, Cueller and in particular Davis looked strong, and very assertive. Reo Coker and Sidwell did very well in their "destroying" midfield roles. In particular the stars of the show were out 3 youngters Bannan, Albrighton and weimann. On the wings Bannan and Albrighton worked tirelessly, skipping past the full backs a few times and putting good balls in. Their quick thinking at the corner set up the first goal for the even more impressive Weimann. He worked extremely hard, never afraid to put his foot or head in. Lastly he looked strong on the ball for such a slight lad, and managed to spin their centre backs a few times and collect the ball from midfield. Fantastic start to the pre season. Pete
  9. I just got back from the game. Basically he went on a run from defence. Powered through midfield. 1 -2'd it with someone ans slotted it in the bottom corner Harewood worked hard, but missed 3 easy chances.. one of which was basically an open goal from 6 yards. Andreas Weimann looked EXCELLENT up front. What a good player he could be. He worked very hard, with an excellent first touch, spinning away from their CB's a few times.
  10. BOF, During a small argument with my girlfriend she said "God Pete, you can be so Anal".... Is that a good or a bad thing?
  11. BOF, could you compile a top10 list from "The lovely ladies thread"? I understand its a hard task for one to undertake, but as a leader of the VT boards you can sacrifice your time and "effort" for the benefit of others.

    Thanks

Awesome article fella. Thank you Mr Lerner, Mon, The General and all the support staff.
  13. I still can't understand why such a small time club thinks its an outrage that they are in the championship. There are bigger teams down there like Coventry, Wolves, Southampton, Ipswich etc and obviously now Forest and maybe Leeds. They have such a inferiorety complex because of us. Its almost official that the small time, shite club have officially hit rock bottom. Remember the jaunts we had when they done the double over us and we had toe Ellis Out demo's etc???? RUB IT IN MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Funny how people would boo barry, yet cheer mellberg. Barry been at this club pretty much all his footballing career. He give everything. He is at the peak of his career and is within his rights to go somewhere that he believes would give him more success. Exactly the same as Mellberg, only people will cheer for mellberg like he is a god when he return. FICKLE
  15. I thought Yeung never had enough money? Seriously though, who on gods earth would pay 100 million to own a club like that?
  16. Aye. And one of those 38 reasons is we dont lose 4-1 to shit like Small Heath Alliance! Excellent point tbh REV
  17. I really hope blues go and do a Leicester City. OH and how could i forget AHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ............... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
  18. Quite Ironic how MOTD complimented there "passionate suppoerters" ERRR WHAT THE F*CK They could not even sell out todays game! The sty holds what? 103 fans? They have sold out 2 games ALL SEASON. Derby County fans deserve recognition for selling out pretty much ALL home games, with a larger capacity, only to see there team get humiliated!
  19. It was me Dont know why your getting the error message. Will re-send request shortly
  20. Could not agree more with VIVA's statement. It costs us a lot of time and money to travel a 300 mile round trip after a hard working week. Win, Lose or Draw - the fans who have paid THEIR money out of THEIR back pockets and given up THEIR time deserve just a little "clap". Obviously i was bitterly dissapointed, but when MoN came over after the game and applauded us - some of us actually cheered. It really really means a lot, it makes us feel a part of the cause.
