  1. Don't mind rivers of piss if they charge rivers of piss prices.
  2. Lower holte bog floors were an inch deep in piss too. They really need to address the facilities, rather than charge more and more and make it shitter. Non-flooding toilets is a pretty simple thing to have surely, we had them in previous years. And yes, I think we're all getting a bit pickier with the facilities, but that's what happens when you start charging serious money. Edit, so I guess my question is, do we just need to accept scum-class facilities now, or are the club going to do something about it?
  3. Ref was looking at that penalty decision for us today for 2-3 minutes. Now to me 'clesr and obvious' means if you see it once at full speed, you'll see the error. It's absolute bullshit. And it's just happened again for the Newcastle handball. It was a harsh handball, but it's hit his hand, so how is it a clear and obvious error? It's a subjective decision. We're back to where we were at the start of this farce, of VAR trying to referee matches again. If we're gonna do that, let's just **** the bloke in the middle off and be honest about it. Absolute joke, ruining the game.
  4. Bit of a piss take price considering how many times we got the first home cup match free but never actually got to use it since we crashed out on our first away tie, plus the Stevenage nonsense last year, on top of £100 on prices for a ST this year. I and my bunch won't be going.
  5. I like him a lot. Direct, powerful with a hell of a strike on him. Seems a decent finisher too. Always excited to see him play.
  6. He's a funny one. Made some good saves but nearly Encklemanned one. Also his first action was to block a low hard cross and he just palmed it into the middle of the six yard box which you just can't do against better opposition. Is it just confidence? He just doesn't seem to have it. Hope a couple of decent games without costing us anything will do him the world of good, but I'd still feel happier with a better second choice keeper. It's a tough signing to make with such a dominant first choice keeper but I was hoping we'd be able to persuade someone if we offered cup time. Doesn't seem like it's going to happen though so hope this little run does him good, while also hoping that Martinez is back on Sunday.
  7. Weird match, weird atmosphere. Shame not many people there at the end but it was a dead rubber from the start. Kids played well, MotM to the Hibs fans.
  8. Anyone know if you can take an umbrella into villa park? Walking from star city and can't be arsed standing there soaked all night.
  9. In fairness Samba covered us up front too under Bruce
  10. 25! Amazing how long we've kept hold of someone absolutely nowhere near the first team, and if his rumoured wages are correct (which I don't believe) we've done some absolutely terrible business on this fella. Wish him all the best, he'll be useful to the right championship side, but no way he should still be here at 25.
  11. I'm the same as you mate, the people I go with bought their tickets off plan before the stand was even built, and I've been there for longer than I care to think. If I was moved or inconvenienced at a cost, I'm done. And yes, there's 19,000 people in the list behind me who'll snap it up. But let's see how many of them there are when the bad times inevitably come and we're circling the drain or in the Championship. I can remember the Lambert days when we had loads of sub-30k matches - there were years when I couldn't even give my ticket away when I couldn't make a match. Disregard the fans who've been through thick and thin at your peril, or you'll end up with Blues crowds when things go south.
  12. I'm no fan of Olsen and have been praying we sign a stronger second keeper for the cups, but I'd also play him in this. If he plays okay then it'll help his confidence and that of the defence, which seems to be his main issue. And if he does mess up and cost us a goal, this isn't a tie that should be decided by one or two goals. We should be comfortably winning both ties even no matter what Olsen does.
  13. I completely agree with you, but I imagine the club will see it as '30k on the waiting list, if you don't pay it someone else will'. See ticket prices the last two years, the removal of facilities for most upper Holte users, and the complete lack of care when it comes to basics like non-flooded urinals, not bothering to clean up bird shit. We're a revenue source, and if you or I don't renew then they have a big list of people who will and who won't complain.
  14. Extra £500 if you want basic sanitation I'm afraid.
  15. This is just it to me. A few years back when it was more like half the price I was willing to put up with it. But now, I'm paying a premium price and it's not on that I have to get splashed with 100 other blokes' piss that hasn't drained from the urinals. And that's after queuing up for five minutes in a smoky stinky toilet. Obviously it's not beyond our ability to build half-decent facilities, but our £700 isn't enough to have a splash-free piss. Extra £500 if you want dry legs.
  16. Definitely. After the booking he did the jump up and make the bar shake thing, which is a booking these days. Don't know if we'll ever see the day a ref has the stones to make two quick bookings to a keeper like that though. I'd argue he should have been booked for the challenge too since he stopped Watkins from nodding it in.
  17. It looks nice. So the club can provide decent facilities for the fans if they want to then. They just choose not to for our £700-800, obviously have to pay twice that if you have the audacity to want to piss or have a pint. As a Lower Holter, I've always been jealous of the upper's two concourses, far more space up there than the lower. Seems like 5/6ths of them are in the same boat as us now, with half the facilities they used to have. Was a nice touch in the lower Holte today that they'd put some sort of filter over the drains on the urinals so they were three inches deep in piss. A lovely experience when wearing shorts, real premium pissy legs feel for the ticket price
  18. Thanks for your expert insight about what the injury was and how it should be handled. Assume you are a doctor of some description? I should write to the club with the benefit of your expert opinion about what our top quality highly trained medical team are doing wrong. I'm sure they'll appreciate your input and allow the current staff to apply for clowning roles at Zippos.

    Matty Cash

Me too. He's not the best right back in the world, and could definitely use some competition but it's almost like Bailey got a goal and assist so he's Scapegoat Of The Week this week instead.
  20. I'd be tempted to give Duran a start to see what he can do in 90 mins with the regular first-teamers.
