  1. Struggling to agree with you here mate. They are not in the relegation zone by accident it’s because they have poor quality players and a poor board and ownership. That’s unlikely to change by next year given the current situation they are in and I just don’t see them being able to improve what is already and awful squad with much quality. I am half expecting that the Anthony Gordon money (lol that anyone paid anything for him in my opinion) will be funnelled back into the Russian guys pocket. I think league wise they are in a better position than we were when we went down but as a club I think they would be in serous financial trouble with this new stadium and no premier league money plus a bloated poor squad on high wages probably with no reduction clauses. It will be interesting to see and all I can say is I’m glad it’s not us anymore or at least for now
  2. I think he might find himself there a lot sooner than late 20’s this has got classic lad that thinks he is better than he is, has he even played 40 games yet ? And in those games contributed much.
  3. I think Calvert Lewin is one of Everton’s biggest problems. They have convinced themselves he is a bit of a player and therefore they haven’t felt the need to get a proper striker in but reality is he is a poser always ready to slid into the 6 yard box just that little bit to late giving the impression he was unlucky but for me it shows why he is a bad striker because he should just be there scoring a tap in. Obviously they have other big problems too like pissing money away on rubbish players. Other than Onana and maybe Pickford who would pay money for a single one of there players? Keane, Godfrey, Mina, coady (I know he is on loan) tarkowski, gray, iwobi (cost about £30 million wtf) dacoure. They are actually rubbish and premier league level.
  4. Just for perspective when emery took us over we had 12 points they had 14 we now have 28 points they have 15. By any accounts that’s pathetic
  5. Really don’t see them getting out of it this season, they are so poor and can’t see them improving the squad much in January and I don’t think even unai emery could help them with what they have
  6. I agree I feel like this means a big forward/winger signing suited to emery’s style which probably wasn’t possible with Ings wages. Sad to see him go, I like the player and also seems like a good guy but times move on and his age and value diminishing against huge wages makes sense providing a plan is in place but with emery’s attention to detail it’s hard to imagine the isn’t one.
  7. I think this is very unlikely even if we wanted to sell him. Everton can’t afford the fee and certainly can’t afford the wages unless they get rid of a lot of the rubbish they have which will be hard. From an Ings point of view I don’t see him wanting to join a basket case club on the verge of almost certain relegation when he would have better options.
  8. I thought buendia and Bailey were very poor I would like to have seen both come off and really am looking forward to Ramsey coming back we desperately need some pace moving forward in the team. Anyone time down sarr from Watford still ?
  9. I think the lack of effort is resulting in the boos and to be fair I wouldn’t be booing but we have been out ran and worked so far
  10. Bailey is a defenders dream, show him onto his right foot and he is a joke
  11. I don’t get why neves is still at wolves, he is a fantastic player in my view and far to good for wolves. Why would you stay at a club like wolves when you could easily go elsewhere because your agent has some sort of deal going with the club. If I was him I would be questioning if my agent is doing his best for me
  12. No Ramsey in the squad ??? Injured
  13. No problem. Using a car analogy what we have currently is the body work with no mechanics, axels etc designed so it looks nice and you can get some good images etc and most importantly show planning how it will look in context of the surrounding area. The next stage is to them design how it’s all going to work in reality so for us that means things like access in and out rod supports, all the services required to run the building so power, gas, water etc and working out how all of this stuff fits into the space you have available. I’m my job we use a 3d model to do this and judging by the images from Villa they have done the same which is good because you can use that to start working out a schedule of works (4d) and more of a fix on cost (5d). After that stage it’s designing in the specifics. so things like we know we want 50 male toilets in this area but what type of toilet and basin etc. we need kitchen space for hospitality so what configuration of equipment is needed. the is still a lot of work to do but I would imagine a lot of that’s been going on Already so it might not take more than 6 months to firm up the design
  14. What you have to remember with the stage we are at with this to get planning you just need concept design if we are using RIBA stages so over the next 12-18 we will go through spatial coordination so m&e services fitting inside structural design etc then detailed design making sure that all information is ready to build from so I think all that work will be going on in the back ground and can get accelerated accordingly to meet a start on site date. on the renders for the video, i make those things for the Houses of Parliament and I think the ones we have done for VP are very impressive. They usually use gaming technology like unreal engine to pull them together. apologies for being a geek but this is my line of work so I find it fascinating especially when it’s about a place I love like VP
  15. I thought he has been very poor when he has played this World Cup which is the only time I have seen him play but he is a huge downgrade on rabiot for France in my view but that’s based of how I see it in this World Cup only.
  16. Just going to throw this out there in the last 30 years Morocco have been to the same number of World Cup semi finals as England
  17. Is rashford going for worst performance ever in an England shirt
  18. Is it my imagination or luiz Suarez fat now by professional footballers standards ?
  19. I had been thinking given that the Saudis own Newcastle either officially or unofficially who could afford to buy united. I’m not basing this off the cost of buying a business as £6 billion is small fry really in business acquisition terms but more in the purchase cost + running costs + urgently required ground and training complex upgrade vs income return. I get that increasing brand value and potential future sale price might come in to it and the large commercial potential but to me it looks really tricky to make a good value return given the cost of all that’s required and that’s before they even sign a player or add to the crazy wage bill
  20. You can feel it can’t you they get battered for 45 minutes and Dan James goes down like a feather and gets a penalty in the last minute
  21. Just for context wales are being dominated by a side southgates England put 6 past 5 days ago
  22. I think they maybe this is a real poor Wales side depending on Leeds style run around a lot and maybe a moment of magic from bale and this biggest amount of luck
  23. All of the above I think maybe add in disease and malnutrition into the mix too. Hardly surprising that we are in this situation given that the award of the tournament was one of the biggest acts of bribery ever seen and from then on your in the pockets of these guys. No we are on the eve of the World Cup people are starting to arrive and the government out there are now changing what they promised. What a shock
  24. I agree with everything you said there but none more so than the last line. He might not be our captain currently but he with emi our the leaders of this team and maybe add in ash to the mix too. for me though it’s the human side to him that I have the most respect for. I know some in the media hate the idea that a footballer can have coherent opinions on things outside of football but it’s that I think which connects with us as fans. I am as quick as anyone when he has had a brain fart on the pitch to say just concentrate on football but actually in life the are far more important things than football. as @ChesterDad said he is a good footballer and more important a really good human in a society where a lot are not and we should as a club celebrate the fact we have someone like this who will use his voice to support people that don’t have a voice.
  25. I remember the season we went down and we fell more than 3 points away from getting out the relegation zone. that’s when I started to worry knowing that even if you win your still in the drop zone regardless of other results. im sure they will still stop up but I think it will be tight but I see forest and Southampton going for sure. Bournemouth will drop down I think and Leeds are still a very very poor side despite results the last couple of weeks so i expect them to be in the mix
