  1. Maguire is nailed on to start despite Man Utd starting almost anyone they can to avoid playing him and prepared to pay £10 million to not play for them. Mings has been in sensational form last 6 months and has been excellent whenever he has played for England. on the stones playing all over the place a bit like zinchenco at arsenal when he won’t play left back despite being the left back I would use this and get a player to go and play in the space that leaves so with stones I would pop Watkins into that gap between the other centre half and full back or with arsenal get Bailey high on the right where the left back should be.
  2. According to the the sun (yes I know they make everything up) he wants Newcastle I’m guessing due to champions league football. He is feeling a bit like a mercenary at this point which I know all footballers are to a point but for him it seems more obvious
  3. Obviously the top 4 plus Liverpool will probably be strong again although I wonder how Newcastle will cope with the champions league fixtures and actually same for arsenal who I expect to drop off from where they have been this year. Spurs I’m not worried about at all, poor squad and a mess behind the scenes and no desire to spend the money to put it right. Chelsea I expect to improve a lot under poch but still lumbered with a bloated, disjointed and unbalanced squad. Brighton I think have had as good a season as they could ever expect so I would be surprised if they keep that up. Brentford mid table at best for me especially with Toney banned and Fulham are a bit of a Sheffield Utd second season in my view lazy pundits predicting a mid table finish based on the season just gone but not seeing that they outperformed on there ability and I can see them struggling
  4. He finished 7th in the Italian league but yes he did make the europa league final and win the conference league I can just see the his standard of club from the real madrids and Man Utd’s dropping lower and lower to clubs like Roma and spurs but to be honest it’s more the horrendous style of football he plays that irritates me more than anything.
  5. Shame he has decided to choose a nothing league and oil money and the weird perception that PSG are a European elite club. They are basically Newcastle without the competition in the league, ten years ago I doubt anybody is leaving Real Madrid to sign for psg but hey maybe I’m just bitter
  6. Looks like they are in a real mess with the finances and the stadium now being treated as a separate entity from the club for business purposes. I can see the Americans walking away and a disinterested owner letting them rot
  7. I think they are all bad to be fair it’s just when they are winning it’s easier to come across nice but when they are losing the true colours tend to come out. However how anyone can think Jose is or has been an elite manager in the last 8 years is beyond me! Total anti football awful tactics, the game has well and truly past him by and he is not even yesterdays man he is last decades man. Seeing Emery at work shows how far ahead most the top managers are now than Jose
  8. For me the dream would be for him to stay at spurs see his contract out or at least until January when his value is practically nothing and leave for free or very little while downing tools in a spurs side managed by the Celtic manager languishing in 11 place and leave spurs as there greatest ever striker and still made them little to no money and also not got close to winning a trophy either. And then watch them sink back into the mediocrity I remember in the 80’s and 90’s
  9. After that performance last night I never want to see Jose near a cup final ever again. That was one of the most typical anti football Jose performance you will see and it’s what he does now and it’s god awful from a manager 10 years past his sell by date. I’ve just heard talk sport get people on saying they love Jose and it’s always interesting when he does press conferences etc and in my view 1) it’s not actually interesting or funny at all and 2) who watches football for press conferences? It’s setting up a team like that and playing that way that would be the death of football, he is essentially a Portuguese Sam Aladyce/Sean dyche
  10. Shooting for the big time with the newest favourite ange the Celtic manager (not going to try and spell his last name) fingers crossed he does as well as the last old firm manager to venture this side of the border
  11. Yep dyche pretty much said not much money knocking around and maybe a points deduction feels like they might have only kicked the relegation can down the road a bit although my gut feel is that Luton and sheff Utd will drop without causing to many problems so only 1 place up for grabs I reckon
  12. I agree, not sure they will do like Barnsley and get relegated after the playoffs but I think they have had a remarkable season and I think it’s a one off. Fair play to them they have it a go and clearly have a very good manager but with the budget they have I am guessing it’s got to be one of the lowest and more often than not that’s reflected in the league position. However I bet a few said the same about Luton last year
  13. Loftus cheek really had wasted his career hasn’t he. 27 and only just played 100 games of which I would imagine most are sub appearance compared to JJ 100 games most starts at 21.
  14. Wasn’t Amorim going to cost a record for a manager ? Something like £40 million when we were supposedly interested
  15. Fair point and I was wrong to a certain extent anyway because of Leeds and Leicester loss then 32 points would have kept Everton up as Leicester would only have had 31. I do wonder if this is an example of a growing gap between middle to bottom of the league because let’s be honest if all of this sides lose on Sunday the could be 4 teams below 34 points which would normally ensure relegation but one could survive. That 40 point mark in my mind had dropped to 37/38 but maybe now it’s really get over 35 and you will probably be ok
  16. Loving this. Spurs top three choices in nagelsmen, poch and slot have all turned them down, finally reality of the fact spurs are a mediocre mid table at best club is sinking back in
  17. Just watching a Leeds YouTuber (don’t know why other than it amused me) and he was very critical saying it’s a league 1 club behind the scenes with the training ground being awful, bellend Road a mess the structure of the board and management all over the place and financially on the edge after all the money spent which will get no return with the only saving grace being that McKinne is only on loan. The other really interesting thing which may not be true but I guess he heard it from somewhere is that the squads broken and train in groups because they won’t train together as one squad
  18. Clearly has a lot of natural ability but work rate and attitude are severely lacking the required levels for top flight football however given he wanted to leave us and we managed to mug Chelsea for £20 million I couldn’t care less if he plays another game
  19. I think Leeds could be in serious financial issues again with relegation, they have some horrid players on very big money. They spent over £150 this season alone and you would say not many of those will get that value back. Rodrigo isn’t going to stay and play in the championship and neither will gnotto. Harrison might go too and other than that the rest is pathetic on big money with the likely reliance on Bamford who can’t move of kick a ball. Interest to see what happens but I think for a side set up like Leeds are this could be a huge blow to them
  20. Said it before I don’t watch Man City games except when we play them because I’m bored to death watching them, if I’m watching a match without Villa and at a push England I’m watching it to be entertained and the way Man City play isn’t enjoyable to watch for all the points they get and ex players creaming themselves over it. I enjoyed the West Ham vs Leeds game as a neutral albeit I want Leeds to go down. It was fun and a little bit crazy because it was one god awful team getting beat by one that is only a bit better, the Man City game I didn’t even turn on I went a sorted the garden out
  21. He might well improve and I agree he has lots of potential I doubt Leeds is the place to develop it though. Not sure they are set up off the field to develop players and constantly fighting relegation usually stops development of young players. He could do with them getting relegated and getting picked up cheap by a decent side
  22. Other than the game at Villa park this year I haven’t really seen gnonto so much, he looks like a player that flatters to deceive a bit almost like a smaller slightly slower Adama traore. No end product
  23. Win and a draw might do it! They have a far better GD than both Leeds and Everton and I could see Everton without DCL not getting a win
