  1. If I was Newcastle or any side playing arsenal I would have a very wide right winger go and stand on the touch line because that zinchenco guy does not want to do his job as left back he seems to want to be anywhere but left back and watching Southampton the other week they exploited this for the first 2 goals and would have won if it wasn’t for being rubbish
  2. When I watch Bailey and buendia now I can’t help thinking of spurs when they sold bale for £90 million and tried to replace him with about 4 players. I seem to remember purslow saying when Jack left that we had replaced his output across Bailey, buendia and I think Ings but like spurs you see why the player leaving costs what they cost and trying to replace them with a few players fails because ultimately those players are so far short if the level that you lose. I know we wouldn’t have got a £70/80 million player to replace Jack but I do think you need to replace with as close to the level of quality you lose as possible not spread the numbers across 3/4 players, this isn’t baseball it doesn’t work like this in football.
  3. I agree and I think today showed we need a massive upgrade on the likes of Bailey, Bert and buendia. The football was relatively controlled although some of the passing in midfield was a bit sloppier than normal but in the final third I thought we lacked cutting edge to break down a really poor team who we have gifted a goal to and then defended (well) for their lives. Also I feel they treated it far more like a derby than we did I thought they seemed more up for it than we did
  4. That’s been an awful half from traore. First touch horrid, weak on the ball, no pace or trick to beat a man far to obvious he is going to cut back onto the left foot. Crossing has also been really bad as well.
  5. That’s the danger with city isn’t it that we become like Germany France and Scotland with the same team winning every year. I think we will be ok here because these things tend to go in relatively short cycles but it is worrying seeing a team win 4 out of 5 years. Despite what sky try to tell me I don’t even like watching city play, I find it so boring to watch seeing sides passed to death. When Barca did it under pep it was a bit better because at some point messi got it and did something special with City it’s very formulaic and boring or though technically very skilled.
  6. Complete lack of understanding of football basics for me with no clue how badly set up, trained and managed we were or how poor a man managed gerrard was. This give him time stuff is classic rubbish from ex players watching a mate out of their depth and drowning. I assume he means give him enough time to get relegated than pile in with how much of a basket case the club is and how could anyone succeed. Thank god for emery to prove what we all know, that pair are about as inept as you can get when talking about anyone other than arsenal or spurs
  7. This is why I don’t think this will work for Leeds, he has got what I think is one of the worst squads to ever grace the premier league (in terms of quality I will admit they do usually run around a bit) and just 4 games to get to know them and get a couple of results with 3 too 7 sides to play. Sam clearly has a game plan he always goes too for these gigs but I don’t see him being able to implement it against good sides in such a short space of time. It would have made far more sense to bring him in when they sacked Gracia but when do Leeds ever do things that make sense
  8. It’s incredible the money they have wasted just this year alone. It’s near on £150 million in fees plus I imagine some decent wages. I bet over the theee years they have managed to hang on they have spent close to £300 million in fees and if I remember rightly they were paying they Rodrigo over £100k a week first season back up. Classic example of bad management buying poor players for too much money and this is the end result. Also as other have said I would be ashamed of the Villa players did what the Leeds players did to they young boy. Really really poor from them
  9. This looks like to very very poor sides equally as clueless as the other. Ability wise I would say Leicester look slightly better but I’m really struggling to see the formation, there midfield looks a bit all over the place not getting to any second balls and the two Center half’s are a joke! how bad they are? Everton, well the is a reason they are second bottom.they have bad footballers playing in a division that’s to good for them. No idea who will win this but I think if Leicester show some urgency they probably will but they are not looking like a side playing a relegation 6 pointer
  10. As much as I love how far we have progressed I think this one is still beyond us
  11. Neither is buendia he needs improving on big time, been nothing short of pathetic today
  12. Get a grip the manager will do what’s best and given he has taken us from a relegation battle to an outside chance of Europe he is off limits to criticism
  13. As good as Martinez is that’s awful tamely pushing out an effort that’s not even going in. As bad a mistake as I’ve seen from emi
  14. I would love to see the recruitment meeting where tarkowski, Keane and Godfrey were key targets for the Everton back four
  15. Dead an buried for the season I think. They just concede such poor goals and do a bit of a Leeds and run around a bit but no goals also 3-0 now
  16. BT commentator saying that Newcastle could be 9points ahead of Tottenham by the end ? Yeah they will also be behind Villa mate. Not sure why they think Tottenham could be in the running still given the shambles they are but the form side in the country in the Villa are not even mentioned
  17. Not an easy watch but I a win against a side that clearly had no intention of trying to win the game. One shot off target in the first minute for the whole game tells me we were fully in control from start to finish. With a tired team and a bare bones squad 26 points out of 30 is pretty impressive and some wins will be like Newcastle others will be more like last night. Also on the way home I had the misfortune of listening to Jason cundy saying how Tyrone mings wasn’t international standard and he has an error a game in him (like maguire doesn’t have 3 or 4 a game) can anyone remember in this last run of ten games or even since emery came, in a mistake? I think he has been near perfect since gerrard went.
  18. I said to my son the corner before we scored “we never score from corners especially mings” what do I know? Nothing as usual
  19. They are rubbish, this Leeds side is not the bielsa side of the first year back up. It’s a championship standard core with copper, ayling Harrison and bamford with some god awful signings like Koch, the Swedish full back etc. they are a pathetic team and I think if they don’t go this year they will go next season. They spent over £150 million in transfer fees thus season and are just as bad as last year and they have no players like Phillips they can sell to raise funds so it’s likely to be a lot of the same rubbish players next season I think.
  20. So today I’m torn on the Fulham Leeds game. I kind of don’t think Fulham can catch us as we are 8 points ahead which is to many to make up in 8 games and by desire to see Leeds go down is pushing me to a Fulham win draw would do as well I guess but I could then see Leeds somehow stopping up on goal difference. Palace Everton I would normally say given form a nailed on palace win but again like Leeds I could see them squeezing out of it but to do that I think they need to win today and could see them winning. Leicester wolves I would like Leicester to win and stay up ideally with Leeds and wolves going down. Liverpool forests not much to be said there
  21. No chance I think Harry maguire had a game last week for Utd so that’s him in for the next 3 years
  22. Your wrong about the £120 million over 2 seasons this season alone they have spent over £150 million and no idea what they spent last year but yep still starting ayling, copper still in the squad Bamford starts regularly when fit. They have spent all that money and yet still have a wafer thin squad that has no premier league quality and I don’t think would be a certain to get them out the championship. I do wonder what the financial situation would be too because I imagine the is some big wages there for a championship side to pay. I think the only place they haven’t over spent on is the ground which is seemingly vying with old Trafford for the most dilapidated. It’s times when I’m writing this I realise how much I love Naz and Wes
  23. They are a pathetic team they really are proper forest gump running around all over the place with no clue, no quality and no plan. But hey isn’t this the Leeds side sky told us we all loved because they ran around losing games 5-3
  24. Long may he continue to be considered a joke by the media we all know what he is about and must importantly so do the players. Interesting though looking through the Newcastle forum a fair few of them had a lot of respect for the gaffer
