  1. Stoke Away kit is pretty nice. They're keen releasing pictures in March!
  2. He's due a run of decent performances. Last season he finished strongly and his goals helped keep us up. Agree he's been poor this season and gets an easier ride than others because he's 'one of us'. I don't think he's direct enough and looks to cut back too often.
  3. Like most of our players today he was poor. If he's not going to stay I'd have Bennett starting. Why groom other teams players to the detriment of our own?
  4. I presume they are asking for it as proof of ID. Just check with them again some finance companies accept just the card part. Failing that, I'm sure they will accept utility bills dated within the last 90 days.
  5. Exactly as above. I can't understand why F1 is trying to be Eco conscious. It's the pinnacle of Motorsport which shouldn't be hindered by fuel saving and Eco friendly systems. I understand they're saying that the technology will filter down to road cars eventually, but they shouldnt be experimenting to this extent in F1. Maybe try it in a feeder series. F1 cars should be loud and that's what sets it apart from everything else.
  6. You can get a train from Lichfield that gets you into Euston in just over an hour. Personally, I think that's bloody quick and don't see the need for a faster line. I think it's safe to say there will be a premium to pay for a seat on HS2, it just depends how much. If it gets you into London 10-15 mins quicker than it does now, I wouldn't pay the extra...
  7. Easily the most complete performance of the season. It wasn't a fluke like City at home, this was a 90 minute performance for the first time in ages. Guzan hardly had a save to make and we looked tough to beat. Delph was brilliant and his goal was class but I thought every player was 8/10 or better. Special mention for Bennett though. Can't have been easy coming back into the team after such a long layoff and he kept one of the in-form players in the league quiet. Just wish we had more games like this every season. Would definitely make renewing a no-brainer!
  8. Mercedes Vito 116 Sport Dualiner. It's a company van and is great if you've got little'uns. Loads of space and great spec.
  9. Our defence has been ok this season. It's going forward we have problems
  10. No chance if Lambert is still in charge. I'm sick of the inept performances. Sitting in the North Stand makes it worse as I have to put up with the away fans. This IS worse than the McLeish era and I'm not forking out
  11. Yes there are over-reactions but once again we've played a side bang out of form and lost. We've had our 'easy' run of games and it's only going to get tougher. Every game we fail to win cranks up the pressure on the next. Lambert may not be going anywhere but Aston Villa are....down.
  12. I've said on this thread previously that Lambert's time is up with the fans. He's been cut some serious slack simply because he's not McLeish. We've put up with embarrassing cup exits, absolute hammerings, and we're being told that progress is being made. We can only play one style which the whole league figured out on the opening day after we beat Arsenal. We're not that stupid and I've had enough. Lose to Norwich and I'll be calling for his head.
  13. That is sad Our home form won't improve until we have a better balance of footballers & athletes. At home we need player who have the athletic ability paired with footballing ability 4123 Guzan Bacuna vlaar Clark Bertrand Rodwell Cleverly delph Albrighton welbeck Redmond Sell benteke, gabby, kea, tonev, helenius,Bowery Cleverley?!? Are you serious? For a start he would never come to us and secondly he's awful. I'd go as far to say he wouldn't improve our dreadful midfield. Home form is what it is. I've got to the stage where going to the game is more out of habit than actually looking forward to it. Sad really. This could be the season that makes me not renew. (Though I've said the same the last 2 seasons.)
  14. But this is his best, he gives no more than this. Remember it was Cardiff not Man City. I agree he's not good enough, just saying compared to previous performances it was better
  15. Credit where it's due, that was better tonight. Apart from grabbing Jones, a fairly un eventful performance.
  16. He cuts a frustrated figure to me. It's all the hand gestures when he doesn't get the ball. Is it me but I don't remember that last season? It wouldn't hurt our players giving him some better service every now and again. Pretty sure he'd have buried Gabby's chance.
  17. Benteke put it on a plate for him. I cannot fathom what's going through his head. If he'd have made the keeper work, you'd forgive him but to do what he did....unforgivable in our predicament. He does not deserve to walk straight back into our team. He was woeful on Saturday and just as poor tonight.
  18. Thought he was his usual self. Bright early on then faded as the game went on. He just needs games I think
  19. I think the biggest cheer was for the girl who nearly won the half time competition.
  20. I am sure that one of our stattos will provide the relevant information, but he can't be far off being worse than McLeishUnder McLeish we averaged 1pt per home game. Under Lambert it's less than a point. There's more where that came from as well Don't know about you, but I'd rather finish 15th with a promising young team including Benteke, Vlaar and Bertrand on relatively small wages, than finish 16th with an aeging team including Heskey, Dunne, Collins, Hutton and Warnock on unsustainable wages.I'm not saying id want McLeish back, all I'm saying is that we were awful when he was in charge, yet we had a better points average at home.
  21. Let's see if we need to be patient at the end of the season. I honestly think we'll finish around 16th. I get the stability argument but if you're rubbish at your job for two years, would you expect a new three year contract? He's done nothing to deserve it. Yes he's cleared out the expensive deadwood, but he's replaced it with cheaper deadwood that will need to be shifted. Whilst Lambert in charge, I believe we're destined for lower half finishes.
  22. I am sure that one of our stattos will provide the relevant information, but he can't be far off being worse than McLeish Under McLeish we averaged 1pt per home game. Under Lambert it's less than a point. There's more where that came from as well
  23. Excuse me, but I've been pretty reasoned and based on the facts, there's not much defence for Lambert. Presumably you think he's doing a good job then?
  24. But to Quote Gentleman, he knows "there's no one better out there". Michael Laudrup......
  25. I defy any fan who's seen the majority of our home games this season to back Lambert. From what I've seen there's no sign of progress. Our style of play is predictable and doesn't get results. To put it in perspective, my season ticket costs £400 (one of the cheapest in the ground) and for that, I've seen 3 home wins, and a grand total of 12 goals (7 of those came in 2 games) When I hear that we're making progress, quite rightly I think, I'd ask how is this possible? I'm sure I'm not the only season ticket holder who thinks I'm not getting good value. Our home form has been crap for years. We've gone out of cup competitions to lower league opposition in the last two seasons. I'm sure the renewing campaign will start in the next couple of months, so I'm interested to hear from Villa why I should fork out again for next year. One things for sure, if Lambert is still in charge, it's unlikely I'll be forking out again.
