  1. Still not arrived.....
  2. Spoke to the ticket office at lunchtime. They were sending the final batch out today 1st class. Will ring if I havent got them by Wednesday. Not painicing....yet!
  3. Don't mind positive status' to be honest. Prefer them to negative ones. What I don like though is status' like, "So glad work is over for the week. Feeling happy" Why the need to tell everyone you're happy. Isn't that a given?
  4. Post on a Sunday?!? I'm moving near you! Lol!
  5. He's top class that's for sure. He's got everything in his locker and his potential is frightening. I don't think he'll finish as the leagues top scorer, that'll be Van Persie, but if he stays clear of injury, I'm sure he'll bag 20+ for us. I can't see a weakness in his game at the moment, he can finish, hold it up, is strong in the air and on the deck. He's the complete striker. I wouldn't swap him for anyone. He's the perfect fit for us.
  6. Anyone still waiting for their tickets?

    travel

£32 from Lichfield to Euston including a London Travelcard for the day. Quick train there and back which takes just over an hour each way. Can't wait for next week!
  8. Was going to say exactly the same. You would think Anelka making his home debut would attract a decent crowd....obviously not! Wolves got over 20k for a League One game
  9. I thought he was alright. Liked his positivity and always showed for the ball. Couple of wayward shots but as others have said, he's learning our style of play. Could do with ditching the dodgy coloured boots though!
  10. Has the potential to be an absolute beast at the back for us. Some decent challenges and very strong. I'd probably still give Baker the nod for next week. Arsenal away isn't the easiest game to make your debut and he probably still needs a few games to get up to speed after his injury.
  11. Felt a bit awkward during it today to be honest. No message on the screens or hoardings so the message from the club is clear. Lambert and Stan have both said its time to stop. Now Stan is in remission I'm sure he doesn't need reminding of the pain he went through at every game.
  12. Not convinced Lambert would spend £10m on him personally. He's definately the type of player we could do with but I'd prefer Scott Sinclair I think. Maybe have him on loan with a view to buying him.
  13. Downings debut was as a sub against Burnley. His first goal was v Portsmouth a few games after that. Your right that he did score in his last game though.
  14. White for the home is a must. I prefer the sky blue shorts as a change. I hate the claret shorts, we never seem to win when we wear them!
  15. Bit of a slimmer fit compared to last season. Saying that I got a L last season and I'm an L this season as well.
  16. I've come away from tonight feeling really positive about the future. Lambert is a modern, forward thinking manager who has the right attitude when it comes to blooding youngsters. I suppose this is the main idea behind doing the forums but he genuinely came across as someone who is passionate about doing well for us. He's got a good sense of humour too. One question was which player you would least like to be stuck in a lift with. His response was Luna as he doesn't know a word of English so the conversation wouldn't be great!
  17. Spotted this one and it intrigued me the most. Was he talking about Bradford away at half time or Bradford at home? EDIT- just re-read your post, it was Bradford at home - I really wonder what it was. The guys on our table thought maybe he was talking about Ireland? But looking back on the match report, he didn't make any subs at HT, and Ireland played the full game. We'll probably never know!
  18. Really enjoyed tonight. Fair play for PL doing a forum, he doesn't have to do it, especially the day after a friendly. He was asked what was his biggest regret last season. Interestingly he said it was the Bradford HT team talk in the second leg. "A situation happened that I should have dealt with differently." It was a rare moment where he slightly let his guard down.

    Top Gear

Webber was funny and enjoyed the Range Rover Sport. The Jag review was spoilt slightly by the fact that I've seen F Types for the past 6 months being test driven on the A38 towards Bassetts Pole. The London Bus was slightly odd but the last 10 minutes was great
  20. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_wD38PZb_CI Anybody else find this intensely annoying? Could they fit anymore s's into it?
  21. They're not too bad. You get people (mainly attention seeking women) posting stuff like: "Oh my God! Can't believe that happened" or "I'm absolutely devastated..." Cue a load of people commenting "whats up?", "u ok" etc and then the original poster comments "I'll inbox ya don't want to say on here its private"! Fffffffuuuuuu Exactly! Does my head in!
  22. Attention grabbing status updates on Facebook. Eg: "well that was a crap day...." "Fed up...." "Tired..." Why.......
  23. In the ticket office the notice says "Due to new legislation, a £2 booking fee will be added to every transaction" love to know what this new legislation is. Clearly the £2 fee is to pay for the Villa Cash you now "earn" I'd imagine that's how the club will justify it.
  24. I get what you're saying. I think I'm more annoyed by people who continue to shop with said cup in hand.
  25. People walking around with Starbucks/Costa coffee in those stupid cups. Why walk around with a hot drink thinking you're cool. Sit down for 5 minutes, drink your drink, then carry on walking. Rant over!
