  1. Sorry but Ellis did not mostly build Bodymoor. My memory in Ellis final months was that the players had to pay for their own masseurs. Bodymoor will be part of Randy's legacy and nothing to do with Ellis.
  2. Yes I said half of them awful. Also remember that Randy did the following * Bodymoor rebuilt and one of the best training grounds around * Acorns deal - made me very proud to be a villa fan * Holte Pub rebuilt * The 82 team welcomed back to the club after being frozen out under HDE Just trying to give a balanced view that's all
  3. In your opinion it's all so a very wealthy man could cut his losses - you could equally argue it's so that a wealthy man could save a football club. I don't think either would be true. And if it needed saving whose fault was it? The last 4 years have been a disgrace. The last 4 years have been awful, but under MON we had some great players. Couple of Wembley appearances to throw in there as well. We've paid for the over-spending the past couple of seasons, but when Randy goes, on balance, id give him 6/10
  4. When Gabby was clean through yesterday it completely summed him up, decent first touch then heavy second touch which gives the defender time to come across and clear. ANY decent striker would've at least got a shot away. Part of the problem is that he knows if he's fit, he starts. Needs dropping to wake him up
  5. He's had such an easy ride so far in my opinion and that's mainly because he isn't Alex McLeish. I've just read his Birmingham Mail interview where he states "We're not in a relegation battle" and "There are plenty of teams worse than ourselves" Laughable comments having been beaten by arguably two of the worst teams in the league in consecutive games. I can remember when McLeish was in his last few games when we lost to Bolton at home and the atmosphere towards the manager was full of hate and spite. Don't think we're far away from a similar scenario
  6. All a hostile atmosphere will do is galvanise the opposing team. What do you suggest then? Sit there as there are "plenty of teams worse than us" (another nugget from our manager today)
  7. I'm with adw95 why can't we show displeasure at a game? It's been crap for 3 years at home and Fulham was the tipping point. Lambert praises the players for their effort but you need more than that. Maybe a hostile atmosphere might galvanise the players to put a shift in. Let's face it, our support this season has resulted in a record number of defeats. Could anyone really blame us for having a go?
  8. How much worse is this going to get before something is done!
  9. No chance. Personally I'd feel a hypocrite renewing with the amount of moaning I've done this season. For me, forking out again would be sending a message that I'm content with what's going on at the moment. I'll pick and choose games next season thank you.
  10. Absolutely no chance. They're not having another penny off me. Yesterday was the final straw. We'll be lucky to average above 30k next season
  11. @ Nigel & AVTuco I think it was a build up of two years of utter crap at home (barring Sunderland & Chelsea this year) I'm normally one to go crazy when we score but yesterday was the final straw under Lambert for me. Grant Holt, a player who couldn't even get in a Championship side, equalised against bottom of the league side. Just sums everything up about Lambert and Villa at the moment. Second rate!
  12. This team is just so poor. Even when Holt scored I didn't celebrate. Lambert & Co have sucked my whole enjoyment out of watching us. I can sum up in one word watching us at home. Boring
  13. @ crackpot foreigner For me the only successes are Benteke, Vlaar, Guzan & Westwood. The rest are average at best. Quality not quantity is what we needed. He should have used some of our Academy players like Gardner, Grealish & Curruthers instead of loaning them out. They surely won't have been worse than the likes of Sylla, Bacuna & Tonev
  14. No way has Lambert spent £22m net, it's way more. Can't think of any significant sales in the past two seasons. Off the top of my head he's signed Benteke (£7m) Okore (£5m) Kozak (£7m) Bennett (£3m) Vlaar (£4m) Luna (£1.5m) Lowton (£3m) Tonev (£2m) Prove me wrong by all means, but in my opinion he's had enough money to produce better. The home form on its own is reason to sack him
  15. I'd like to thank Paul Lambert. Today you've made me save £400 by not buying a season ticket next year. What a joke. Today was the worst of all TEN defeats for me. You could tell this was Fulham's last throw of the dice by the numbers they bought. It was like their cup final. Lambert has had enough time, enough money and enough patience from the fans. Let's back the team until we're safe (hopefully) then turn up the pressure on Lambert. He's got to go
  16. Played the demo on PS3. As expected, a few tweaks and new cut scenes. Typical EA really. Polished and licensed to high heaven!
  17. Strange how Lambert didn't mention Benteke's injury in the press conference. What was he expecting to achieve? On WM tonight they played a clip of him talking up Benteke and saying "This is the best place for him". Why did he not come out when asked and say he was injured and was having a scan to confirm the extent of it? Just don't understand keeping it under wraps. Strange.
  18. A bit of advice needed. I've got a PS3 and only really play FIFA. I really want a PS4 but I'm struggling to justify it. Is FIFA on PS4 noticeably different? Obviously the graphics are better but how is the gameplay? Not sure whether to wait until a decent driving game/tiger woods 15 comes out.
  19. Went to Flat Iron Steak in London a couple of weeks ago and that was brilliant. It only seats about 30 people and they have three steak options. Probably the best steak I've ever had and only £12.50 with chips. At home, you can't go wrong with Pizza By Goli. I go to their place in Lichfield but they've got one in Sutton as well. The BEST Garlic Bread ever and their Pizza is top notch too. Proper classic Italian
  20. I think he's been carrying an injury for the last couple of games. Was immense v Chelsea but saw him struggling v Stoke and didn't seem as influential today.
  21. Has been unlucky the last couple of games. Looks bad on him that we've conceded 8 but in fairness, he couldn't have done much about any of them. Horrendously exposed by our non-existent defence
  22. 3 goals this season says it all. Time for a change I think
  23. Time for Gabby to go. I love his passion but that shouldn't guarantee you a place in the team. He was awful today. Only thing I remember him doing was slipping over for just before the equaliser.
  24. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26783751 How small time is this? One bad season in 20 odd years and they're protesting. Ridiculous. Hope we stuff em!
