  1. Non Scottish blokes at weddings wearing kilts. WHY?!?!?!
  2. I'd recommend New Star Soccer as well. It's pretty cheap and kept me entertained for hours. As others have said, I like the little side games like the Casino and buying lifestyle products as well. The key is buying decent boots iirc. Get the best ones and you score way more
  3. Thought Rosberg missing the first chicane looked a bit pre-meditated to me. Lewis was catching him but it prevented any potential comings together like Spa. All in all, Lewis will be happy because he got the win. Rosberg happy because he didn't lose much ground in the championship and Mercedes happy with the 1-2. Really hope the championship doesn't come hinge on the double points in Abu Dhabi. Would be a shame....
  4. Looking at Red Cafe. It appears they have similar views to us. If he does sign for Everton, there's no guarantee he's going to get in their starting XI. Is the Europa League much of a pull?
  5. Sky reporter at BMH saying it's off due to wages. Looks like he'd rather sit and waste a year at Yanited than actually play.
  6. I'm just being realistic. If he hasn't have got injured he'd had definately played at the WC and would've viewed it a a shop window to get a move. Don't get me wrong, I'd love home to stay but if he comes back on fire, I think he could be on the move in Jan
  7. I think he'll come back with a bang, hoping to get a move in January
  8. He wouldn't get a look in at Everton once Barkley is back though. They've got Barry and McCarthy as well as Osman on the bench.
  9. Another way of looking at it if he does sign is that we're basically replacing KEA. Thinking of it that way makes me a bit more positive.
  10. Not for me. Honestly don't think he's better than what we've got currently. £8m is too much for a player in his last year of his contract.
  11. Seriously?!? I don't think he won more than 2/3 long balls. Watching him reminded me how awful he is in the air. He just looks like he doesn't want to head it. He always gets under the ball and the defender has an easy header
  12. Was looking forward to this. First half was half decent and didn't have much cause for concern. Second half was similar but they took their chance. I'm not going to say it was smash & grab from them because the had one disallowed for offside just before they got the winner. Most annoying thing....not the result, but some burk who on leaving the ground said "Oh well, at least the blues got smashed" is this how low we've gone? Thoroughly pathetic, and I told him so
  13. Thought he'd be in the squad for this one. Wasn't he supposedly fit towards the end of last season? Slightly worrying seen as he played v Parma although it was only brief
  14. Gabby's game revolves around work rate and helping track back. Arguably the later should be irrelevant for a striker in the system we play. We need someone who can hold the ball up to allow support to arrive. Gabby doesn't do this and has a tendency to commit soft fouls which stops any momentum we may have built up. On top of this his goal ratio is poor for the number of games he starts. Should be a sub at best.
  15. I really despise Pardew. Comes out with post match comments like "we were in complete control" "Should be leaving with 3pts" In so much control you didn't score and actually ended the game with 10 men. Thought we were decent first half but second was more what we've been used to the last few seasons unfortunately. I don't like to point the finger at specific players but what does Gabby offer? I'm sorry but as I've previously said he gets an easy ride and his goalscoring record is poor at best. I don't even think he's that quick anymore. Yes we don't create many chances for him and yes he plays out wide, but he's one of our most experienced players and should be performing better than he is. Both full backs were decent and Hutton easily MOTM for me. Defensively we look good but just seem to lack numbers/belief when going forward. I think when Kozak/Benteke are back we should improve. Overall two clean sheets in a row is a positive to build on. Need a confidence building win on Wednesday night to set us up for the Hull game
  16. Looking forward to this. Head says 1-1. Heart says 2-1 Villa. We should be beating teams like Newcastle at home and although they played well v Man City, I don't think their team is as good as it has been the last couple of seasons. Plus we owe them for doing the double over us last season!
  17. Remember when they booed our 19th minute applause. Let's show them what a classy club we are on Saturday and join in.

    SkyGo

I find the picture quality on the Sky Go app noticeably worse than BT Sport app. It's as if the BT app is streaming in HD. Anyone else think the same?
  19. I find it increasingly annoying that we seem one of the only teams to change our shorts and/or socks at away games to prevent a clash. Take Saturday for example, yes we change out shorts as Stoke also have white, but why we're wearing white & claret socks. What's wrong with our sky blue socks? Our kit looked awful on Saturday and very un-Villa for me. The game before was Man United v Swansea where both teams wear white shorts. WBA v Sunderland both teams wearing dark shorts that clash. Who at our place makes these decisons? Particularly claret shorts. Why can't we have sky blue ones which personally I think looks a lot better. I know there's more important things to worry about but I find it annoying!
  20. Compared to our current state i'd say southampton are the better option, for starters they aren't owned by a man who doesn't want to be there. They've been completely stripped this summer but they have a good manager, lots of money and it's yet to be seen what the plan for their future is. We know what our future is and it's not clear we will manage to be sold any time soon. A manager that is completely unproven in the PL and he's actually spend a large portion of the money they've received already. BTW £10m for Bertrand if the want to sign him at the end of the season, no way! I'm sure Southampton future is as uncertain as ours since their Chairman left last season. Anyway back OT, If Vlaar wants to go, let him. We took a chance on him after a bad injury and as long as we get a good fee, I'm confident we can find a replacement for £5-6m How they spend their money is their business. At least they have money to spend and are spending it. I bet you they finish above us. The only reason they've spent as much as they have is because they've sold half their team! I genuinely think they'll struggle.

  22. The club could be run better and have a plan to be competitive again, that might encourage players like Vlaar to stay rather than join teams like southampton. Let's face it, it comes to down to wages at the end of the day. It's not even like Southampton have been that well run this summer.Even though they have sold all their key players I still think they are a better prospect than us.Wow what a quote. So what you're saying is that Southampton, who have sold the complete spine of their team and who we took 4pts off last season btw is a better option. Unbelievable I don't think Koeman would have taken the job unless he was going to be financial backed. We on the other hand are a bloody mess with no money and an owner that wants to get the hell outa dodge! What the hell has getting 4 points against them got to do with anything? Quite a lot actually when we're trying to stay in the League. We had our worst team in PL history but they still couldn't beat us.
