  1. I'll be putting a large chunk away in my savings but then I reckon I'll probably upgrade my Taylor once I feel like I have enough money behind me to justify it, already thinking of just doing a straight upgrade from the 214ce to the 314ce....but it won't be for a while....I say that now, but I know that I'll probably make it about 3 or 4 months before I get an itchy trigger finger
  2. Thought I'd dig this thread out and give a little update, after less than 2 years I am going to be handing my notice in again. Contract signed, just waiting for the checks to go through and get confirmation but I've got a start date of 2nd October. Its a shame as the company I work for at the minute is brilliant, no complaints about anything apart from the fact that their systems are about 15 years behind the times (seriously) New place is offering me £6.5k a year more though and I just can't turn that down, told my current boss and he understands completely and said that it is too good of an offer for me not to go for it, he had a chat with the big boss and the most they can offer to keep me is an extra £1.5k New place might be absolutely shite and I might despise working there but £6.5k a year will make such a massive difference to me outside of work.
  3. **** you lot, I'm gunna strike out alone. This new world sounds pretty good, just me and my dog out there surviving
  4. not a fan of these easy 4-0s wins, I want drama, I want stress, I want justification as to why I'm so pissed at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon.
  5. Just in case we want to hold onto our 2-0 lead by having 3 goalkeepers on the pitch
  6. if they use their concussion sub then doesn't that give us an extra one to make as well?
  7. The little clearing in the woods was alright and he's healed up well but he's **** banned from my flat. Little shit has bought in fleas and I'm struggling to get rid of the words removed.
  8. Matty Cash was great for where we were, not good enough for where we are. He's been good for the Villa but we need someone better in this position, been saying it for a while now so it isn't just reactionary to his performance today
  9. If someone said to me after Brighton on the last game of the season "you'll be starting next season with the exact same starting 11 except for 1 player" I would have been mighty pissed off. Yes we don't have a bad team but we should be looking to improve on them, Cash was woeful today but will be an automatic starter because we don't have any competition whatsoever, and the even bigger problem with that position is that Cash was our second best RB last season as well. We only have a Watkins up front, did anyone see the pre-match thread when we thought that he might be injured, it was full on panic stations. Whether Bailey was only starting because of Buendia's injury or if he would have been in the starting 11 anyway I don't know but I don't want him starting games for us. For me there is still a helluva lot of work to be done in this transfer window and I was saying that before today. Mingsy being out long term is a massive blow and we have to hope that Tores is up to the challenge (and it'll be a big challenge) Today was a gut punch and it wasn't good enough from either the manager or the players but its one game, we aren't in a relegation battle just yet.
  10. I don't know, I haven't spoke to him for a while
  11. I always remember when thomas hitzlsperger was on Soccer AM and they were quizzing him about his English accent and he said something along the lines of "it just happened, believe me, I wouldn't have chosen to sound like a Brummie but it is what it is"
  12. That is brutal, not only did he misgender a spice girl but he got her name wrong as well
  13. I saw a few hours, got into the boozer at 1:30pm and left at about 9:30pm so it was a couple of a few hours lol
  14. I went out last Friday, I **** hate going out because 1 - I don't do well with crowds or people in general but I recognise that sometimes I have to make the effort otherwise people will just stop talking to me completely and 2 - its far too expensive. Cost me around £70 quid it did, I just can't justify that for a few hours of not enjoying myself, I think that is only the second time that I've ventured into a pub this year, maybe the third
  15. that is very presumptuous of you, what makes you think that there will be trouble between these two teams with impeccable reputations
  16. I actually have a Martin 000-10e, so the offer of £150 still stands
  17. I don't believe you have actually stated what type of Martin it is that you are potentially going to get rid of, but as its second hand and extremely delicate and fragile (your words not mine) I am willing to take a punt on it for £150, drop us a message and we can arrange a time for me to come and pick it up tomorrow. I am still at the point where I am perfectly content with my guitars, got my Tele, Les Paul, Martin, Taylor, Tanglewood, Epi Hummingbird 12 string, Squire Bass, Martin Backpacker and a uke...but I'm sure I could make room for one more Martin if needs be
  18. I won £100 vouchers today at work, some random shit that I had apparently been nominated for, I still don't have a clue why I won them to be honest. £100 worth of guitar strings being delivered tomorrow.
  19. and that kids, is why Bud Crawford has been my favourite fighter for many years now
  20. I think I've heard of Dustin Poirier, will thay be worth watching as well then? any idea what time it'll be on?
  21. Also one of the them said that they were fuming when we got Emery because he knew what a good manager he is and he is pissed off about us signing Diaby because he is an awesome player and with one more signing he thinks we could be a "problem" in the league......................mate
  22. we were in town...mate to be fair, I say that there was 4 of them, 2 of them say that they are blues fans but they couldn't give a **** and actually speak quite a bit of sense about football but don't actually profess to be too bothered or to know much about the blues current situation at all. the other two, can hold a serious conversation to an extent but then the additional fingers grow and they go full spaz. highlight of the night was when one of them mentioned 1982 and the other one pointed at me and said "here we go you can't leave 1982 alone" I laughed and told him that I hadn't said a thing and that I'd rather be obsessed with my clubs history rather than a BBC show, he honestly had no come back for that one and I think he was actually a bit pissed off by it. mate
