  1. I don't remember that, anyone got a link to it?
  2. Then they are fools, 95% of the music that I listen to is from the 70's and before, the only "modern" stuff I listen to is country music and I doubt that you'll be getting questions about Tyler Childers crop up in the local pub quiz
  3. At work the other week the youngsters (early 20's) were talking about going out and having a bit of a piss up, I was sat there working away not involved in the conversation, about 10 minutes later one of the geriatrics came over and invited me to the pub quiz, the average age of the team must be about 58, I'm only 37, that was extremely depressing. Also a while back we were talking about films and one of them said that they liked the "classic" animated films like Toy Story, I said that Toy Story isn't a "classic film" because it isn't old enough, his response was "geeza, the film came out before I was born" ***edit - I'm 38, not 37***
  4. What because I see the words "97 NOT ENOUGH" and I don't immediately clock that it is related to Hillsborough means I was born yesterday? I see plenty of shirts down the Villa with random things printed on the back of them, if I would have stopped and thought about it for long enough then yeah I probably would have figured it out but I'm pretty sure I would have seen it, read it and barely registered it.
  5. I haven't watched a huge amount this season and usually tune in knowing that I'll fall asleep for 40 out of the 70 laps
  6. To be fair, the person printing it may not have had any idea what it meant, If I saw someone walking down the road in a Utd shirt with that on the back and no context I doubt if I'd have immediately got its meaning.
  7. I was actually looking for just the hypnosis scene here but stumbled on the spider walk scene as well so its a 2 for 1 video. The hypnosis scene in the book is probably my favourite part of any book Edit: because the spider walk scene is age restricted youtube is being a dick head and won't let me post it so you've just got the hypnosis scene
  8. If you are a fan of Evil Dead then you'll no doubt be aware of the popularity of the "work shed" line
  9. what happened? I didn't bother watching
  10. This is the second Martin 000-10e that I've had, Martins are knows for coming with a pretty high action, I took it to one bloke who I found online, had brilliant reviews, I only asked him to lower the action and he ended up telling me how it was in desperate need of humidifying etc, anyways, I put my trust in him and got a call a few days later to pick it up, I was in a major rush at the time so I had to literally run in grab it and run back out. Anyways, I got it back home and the action at the 12th fret was at something ridiculous like 0.5mm and it wouldn't play at all above the 5th fret for the buzz, I was absolutely devastated, not only that but it had two cracks in the side of the wood, I was going to go and set fire to his house for it but I knew that the guitar was ruined for me so I cut my losses and sold it and got another one. After plenty of debating I decided to take the plunge and take it into a dude called Bob Barry, he was recommended to me by both Hobgoblin music and PMT, anyways, he's got it playing lovely, even at the top of the neck the difference is massive, it cost £85 to get it done but the guitar cost me knocking on for a grand so it makes sense to get it playing as nice as possible.
  11. Did he play with JT in the championship?
  12. I was just about to post the line up from that exact game (although your date is 20 years too late it was 1995) that was my favourite Villa team/squad, probably because that Man Utd game was the first match I ever went to.
  13. @mjmooney or any of the other guitarists, have you ever bothered taking your guitars in to get a full set up done on them? I got my Martin back yesterday after getting one done on it, the results are **** amazing, it cost £85 but my god, she's like a new guitar, absolutely loving the results, I'll most likely take my Taylor in a few months and get one done on that as well.
  14. Here is a link to the story Investigator who exposed Jimmy Savile is working on child sex case against 'very significant' person | Daily Mail Online if you click around on google you should be able to find a bit more out, I can't remember why people decided it was DJ
  15. Not so long ago there was some "whistleblower" type dude who said that there is a Jimmy Saville part 2 that is still being kept under wraps by the BBC and that nothing would come out until after they die. The Twatter detectives got on the case and decided who the guilty party was, nothing more than that but in the Twitterverse it became pretty big news for a while I think
  16. David Jason...if the rumours are to be believed...
  17. I've got a little obsession with everything true crime, I found out all of the actual court papers from this and read them from start to finish, I think that it was over 100 pages, now I am pretty much desensitised to almost everything but this kept me awake at night though, I felt like I wanted to bleach my brain, the shit that man did and tried to do is truly **** horrific, jail is too good for him.
  18. I actually grew out of wrestling really early, I think that by the time I was about 10 years old I'd pretty much stopped watching it, all my mates used to go crazy for the "Attitude" era of Stone Cold and The Rock, I didn't have anything more than a passing interest, I always like Mankind, well Mick Foley character really. I posted in the Wrestling thread the other week that I sat down and watched whole of Royal Rumble 93 again, it was **** great. I've just had a look and the attitude era was from 1997 till 2002, so I'd definitely stopped watching by the time I was 12 years old.
  19. Ivan Toney is a **** idiot, as soon as he knew the severity of his charges he should have pushed for a move (on a permanent or loan basis) to the Blues, because of his idiocy he has landed himself with an 8 month ban when he could have had a suspended 2 match ban
  20. kings balti curry gardens eastern flavour well, 12 years later and my list has decreased by quite a bit, only 3 left out of 8, that's pretty depressing, Erdington used to have shitloads of good curry houses, now I mainly just use Kings and Curry Gardens and only go to The Eastern if I fancy a change
  21. Howard Webb is on Monday Night Football in the next few minutes talking about decisions from earlier in the season and for the first time we'll hear the conversation between the ref on the pitch and Stockley Park as they decide how to give goals to Man Utd and Liverpool. You can guarantee that the clips they show will have been cherry picked to the Nth degree.
  22. You can imagine him sitting down having a chat in his newly learnt language with Emery before McGinn enters the room Emery: Good ebening Alex, I am eerrr glad that you are settling in ok, you will be pleeeeased to know that we have fish and chips for dinner today Moreno: T'ank yu, boss. Jes, ai am set-tling in just faine and de fish and chips are wondurful. In bursts McGinn McGinn: Wheesht noo, ma bairns! Hoo's it gaun theday, eh? Boss, Wee Alex, ye haein' a braw time wi' yer fish an' chips, aye? An' dae ye's no jist adore the grandiosity o' ma erse? Emery and Moreno stare at each other trying to fathom just what language this strange fellow is speaking
