  1. Really hope he goes to Dortmund, Id even take less money. I just don't want to see him scoring against us at Villa Park.
  2. I can completely relate to this. A post earlier mentioned that people on this forum in their early 20's are feeling old, I am 24 and I have to agree with this too. I suppose when I was growing up I expected to have a good job and not be living at home by now so I feel like I am behind in my life plans. At the moment I am looking for work that will give me a future so hopefully in a few years I can move out and just get on with my life. My previous job was in a retail, which offers me no future so I left last year in order to do a couple of other things, travel etc and then focus on getting a decent career job very much aware I would have to work my way up from the bottom and that the pay is highly likely to be less than my previous job, which in itself is a problem. I have been looking for work since November now and have had zero success, I have A levels and more specifically ones in IT and Business as I am looking for anything that will get me office experience as I don't have any. Jobs like Data Entry, Admin, etc but 99% of the employers ask for experience and I just do not have that, the ones that don't ask for it will still have 100+ applicants, my chances are slim to say the least. Even call center work want experience! So where does this leave me? Well the last few months have taught me that my education was mostly a waste of time. GSCEs take you to A levels and that takes you onto Uni and there are tons of Uni degrees that are not worth much in the real world so you really have to do something worthwhile and know where you want to go long term. Experience/Networking is key in this day and age, so many of my friends have jobs through people they know. My qualifications haven't prepared me for any job what they prepared me for was further education, to an employer I am not an appealing candidate and lots of them don't want to spend time training people up they want someone that can do the job straight away. Having now realised all of this I have the option of accepting the situation and going back to a job that offers no future or doing something about it. I am likely going to be doing a course next year that will train me to for specific roles that have the potential to progress in the future. To me this is a bit annoying as it is at least another year out of my life spent on learning and not on earning, could be a bad way to look at it but I cant help the way I see it. I feel like I wont be able to start my life until I am 26/27. The word aimlessness is definitely how I have felt even when I used to have a job in retail, I should have left that job a long time ago but I was in a comfort zone earning money and not having any outgoings without worrying about the future. In terms of anxiety and depression it is hard to tell where I stand on that. Am I depressed? I don't think so. Am I unhappy? Yes, but what is the difference between the two? I see people moan about having work on a Monday morning but I will tell you now it is 10x as hard not having a job, or even having a reason, to get out of bed for. I have suffered slightly from anxiety at times, it has kind of been made slightly worse by me spending a lot of time over the past few months indoors and being bored, not socializing with people and stuff like that. I worry about stuff a lot more now, Mooney said about people worrying about death and that is something I have always had problems with ever since I was a kid and it occurs a lot more now I have so much time to think about things. Worrying about where I will be in 10 years, where my family will be etc. There's probably a lot of stuff I left out there that I could go into but I just wanted to back up the post I quoted because it really rang true with me. Im not sure how this post will come across as it is probably more of a rant than anything!
  3. I want Fulham to stay up too but not looking good.
  4. Great. Now when we play shit football and lose 1-0 to Norwich on the weekend I will at least be a little bit happier knowing we only lost £40m + this year. Fans do not care, this isn't what they want to hear, fix the issues on the pitch. They will be losing even more next year because who in their right mind would want to turn up to watch what is served up at the moment?
  5. 5 chances against West Ham? I don't remember any clear cut chances he had to score. West Brom was a very good save, skinned the defender. Likewise with the penalty miss I think it was a good save, he hit it pretty hard and high, he should still score but not like it went miles over the bar or like his penalty v Arsenal earlier in the season which was poor. We really do not create much at all though, last season he scored a lot of goals and now hes struggling, why? Well IMO because of these long balls we keep persisting with. Hoofball football that isn't working. It's not just him, most the attack has been crap all season.
  6. MON's tactics might not have been great but he knew what he wanted each player to do and they had a job. Look at his midfield. Young/Downing/Barry/Petrov/NRC/Milner... Two out and out wingers, NRC as a ball winner who rarely went forward. Petrov and Barry both comfortable on the ball in the middle, do a job of helping NRC and getting the ball forward to wingers quickly. Milner starter to play a bit more forward but was all energy and would drift everywhere in the attacking third, very high work rate. Yes now Lambert doesn't have these players so I am not saying the results should be the same but lets take a look at our midfield if you will. Gabby/Weimann, im classing these as midfielders now because well they aren't playing up front very often at all. Not wingers, no even wide players IMO, so what are they? Well I cant really figure it out. KEA/Delph/Westwood. Again, what are their jobs? I mentioned this before but I honestly couldn't tell you. None of them are set out to protect, none really get forward very well at all. They all do exactly the same thing IMO.
  7. How many clear cut chances to score has he had this season? He's getting awful service. The rest of his game is suffering but to be honest I don't care about that. Someone supply him with chances/crosses and he will take a few. He would have scored the chance Gabby had at Cardiff the other week. Even the best strikers in the league wouldn't score many in this team.
  8. I will look into contacting them, don't want to have to do this every 3 months though. The old ones were fine, these are very weak.
  9. You shouldn't go in OT, I am trying to break away from it all. I always end up going from OT straight to 'The things that piss you off that shouldn't' thread. Edit: Just noticed Im in that thread now!
  10. Just noticed my controller analog stick has split after wearing down. Anyone else had this problem? Had less than 50 hours use on this controller.
  11. A manager has a huge difference on the team. Everyone saying well who can do better? Im aware Southampton spent money but the change of style when they changed from Adkins has been huge, they look better for it. Look at how crap Moyes is doing with this Utd team, Fergie destroyed the league with this exact team. Moyes doesn't adapt and neither does Lambert. Billy Davies at Forest seems to play good football, Id rather we go the wrong with a positive manager trying to do something but we are slowly sinking with Lambert as it is. Id rather we go straight down the plug hole than be trapped swirling around it for years before finally slipping in it.
  12. Well the three teams that just came up are still championship sides really and we have played them 4 times now, failed to score in 3 of them games and the other took a late freekick to open the deadlock.
  13. What is Evra doing? Backing off, worse than us at defending.
  14. Back at Villa doing tests but not expected to play again this season according to BBC.
  15. Do all women like the finger up the bum or is it just you?
  16. Well lets see who have we played over the last couple of seasons. Bradford, Millwall and Sheff Utd. How did them games go? Yep we would struggle even with this team.
  17. Im a bit late on this topic but almost £700 to go to Prague? Are you flying there on a private jet or something?
  18. The only reason I renewed this year was because Benteke stayed, you might be able to tempt me in the summer with some clever buys but it will be hard because no matter who we sign Lambert is tactically inept and we will still play shit football. All my mates have lost interest as well, I had to convince two people to share a ST this year to have someone to go with. As others said it is becoming a chore, another reason I keep going is because I haven't missed a single home game in about 11 seasons now and see it as some sort of record. If I miss one game I wont care, its highly likely after this season I will be done unless Lambert leaves.
  19. Ermm...now it was a good few weeks ago now that I finished the single player, but I can remember only a couple of instances of these sorts of mission...? Now you might argue that a couple of occasions is way too much, but if you're referring to the Paparazzi missions then that's just silly because it's literally what they do ^__^;; Cant remember but when introducing the 3 people you play with it just seemed the first few missions for each of them were boring. Its probably just me getting older and not as interested anymore. I couldn't wait for it to come out though.
  20. FC Red Bull Aston Villa is starting to sound appealing.
  21. So after 27 games if this was McLeish he would have been slated for months on and the abuse been endless. Compared to McLeish's season with us. So two seasons ago we were.. 2 points better off at this stage 8 points off relegation, 4 points further clear than we are now GD twice as good at -5 instead of -10 Scored 3 more goals Conceded 2 goals less Home form better off by 2 points Away form exactly the same at 17 points I just wanted to check to see if this was as bad as under McLeish and it turns from a statistical point of view it's actually worse.
  22. Blends in with 80% of the squad then.
  23. Had a virus but could play 76 minutes of football? Id rather have seen Clark or Albrighton come on and changed formation. Bringing on Sylla and Bennett are just negative subs.
  24. Well I was right but we couldn't even keep out a team who come for a 0-0. Id like to change the Newcastle game to a loss. I think I was closest, what do I win? Performances over the season show where your going and it was pretty clear we were going the wrong way.
