  1. Shouldn't have changed their manager, they'll definitely regret that.
  2. Literally just finished watching this episode. "Well, it's a hospital, the window won't open" pipes up the girlfriend. "Her partner will get up and save the day, obviously", I think. "...Oh." One question...At what point did you think the guy who's clearly a man wearing an ill-fitting wig decided to get in to his ensemble? Surely it would have drawn more attention to him walking through the hospital than him just walking through as a normal looking guy?!
  3. I'm far from "posh", but I seem to have a habit of making a bit of a nob of myself whenever I talk to anyone who works in a typical "bloke" job. any kind of interaction with tradesman, and I channel my inner-dickhead. I took my car in to have its alloys redone this morning. I was waiting for the mechanic guy to turn up, and when he did, I introduced myself, and he held out his hand. I couldn't decide whether he was going to shake my hand or take the key, so I reached out mine, put the key in his hand, and shook his hand in one gesture, like I was tipping him a car or something. The look of "wtf" on his face is going to pop in to my head and taunt me occasionally for years to come.
  4. Not seen anything to come out of Hollywood lately? At most, wrestling is acting with slightly more steroids.
  5. I started Season 1 on Sunday, finished it last night, it's not bad at all! It's one of the few shows that ticks the boxes for both me and the other half, I've got a massive backlog of brilliant shows I need to finish that she's not interested in (Band of Brothers, Handmaid's tale...". I need to kick her out for a weekend.

I can't see how this has anything at all to do with what I posted. Why would you counter my post about it being absurd to mock a team for losing a semi final based on us winning a semi final years ago, with a post about how we also lost another final 20 bloody years ago? Losing in a final that I seem to recall being suggested was one of the worst ever FA cup finals, so long ago that even Blues have won a trophy since then, hardly seems like something to brag about.

Yay...we got to a final....A few years ago...For a cup we've not won in 62 years. Not to mention the absolute battering we got in the final. Embarrassingly small time, but I've come to expect nothing less from @villareport. Meanwhile they're comfortably in the top half of the PL and we're hoping to get in to the playoffs. Not a good time to be taking the piss, lads.
  8. Or cross. Glad he got his goal, but I won't be sad to see him gone in the summer.
  9. Not sure if there's for some reason a different rule for the young player, but one of the nominees for the young player of the season is on loan from Liverpool. Tammy's younger than him as well. Pretty surprising, but hopefully he'll score plenty of goals right up to the end of the play off final and show them they can shove their PotS nominations up their arse.
  10. This is the most distasteful thing I've ever heard from a pundit https://streamable.com/xodl3
  11. It's been discussed a lot in the veggie thread, but here's my take on it: What I don't get is why meat eaters feel so worked up about vegetarian burgers and sausages. The sausages example shows how ludicrous this whole discussion is. "Veggie tubes" unless they contain meat? The Glamorgan sausage has existed for 200 years, and people want it to have to be called a veggie tube because they're so insecure they can't have vegetarians using their words? It's absurd. Oddly, I expect there's a significant overlap in facial hue between people that will love this news, and people who get angry about EU bureaucrats sticking their noses in where it's not wanted.
  12. My personal phone has been on do not disturb for at least a couple of years.
  13. A part of me knows it's wrong to judge people based on their accent. It's especially hypocritical being from brum, even if I don't have the accent. But I've never been able to respect someone with a scouse accent.
  14. I predict a majority for the noes on both votes. You couldn't get a majority of MPs to confirm the sky is blue.
  15. The solution isn't to try to force the country to turn back time, it's to ensure that everyone is able to access modern equivalents. Why on Earth would we want another 3600 bank branches. They're shutting down for a reason, they're increasingly an irrelevance.
  16. Another game that I want both teams to lose.
  17. I have sympathy for officials, they sometimes have impossible calls to make, and the benefit of slow motion and replays makes things look a lot worse. That decision was astonishing though. The linesman has no business on the line in the Premier League.
  18. On the one hand, I hate Chelsea. On the other hand, I can't help but like someone that makes Colin rocket polisher pull this face:
  19. Just bought a mk3.5 mx5, 2013 Sport Tech trim. Buying it privately which I'm a little nervous about, but it seems solid, drives well, the bodywork is the best I've seen from the handful I've looked at, never had as much as an MOT advisory, only 30k miles on it, and the top level kit (for a 2013 model :P) so it's got the heated seats, cruise control, 6 speed gearbox, lsd. The seller is getting it serviced and put through an MOT tomorrow, so the sale's conditional on it getting through without any issues. I went for the soft top version, it's just far more mx-5. My tasks for it over the next few weeks are: Replace the headunit for an Android Auto one, to bring it in to 2019 Get it up on some ramps and rust-proof it with some Dinitrol. It looks squeaky clean underneath as the current owner only ever drove it in winter and kept it garaged, but it'll be an all-season car for me so I want to give it a proper clean underneath, let it dry, then do what Mazda should have done in the factory. Give it a damn good clean, clay bar, and then machine polish to get out some minor scuffs and swirls. Then there's one proper scratch on the sills which i'll need a pro to respray, but considering the state of some I've looked at, I'm not too bothered about that.
  20. Oh, absolutely. Laursen was brilliant, the best defender we've had since McGrath in my book, he had everything to be one of the absolute best if it wasn't for injuries. Angel? **** me, he's as far away from being a legend of anything as I can imagine. Cool guy, I like him as a person, but he had one or two good seasons in what, 7, 8 years with us? He was **** dreadful. I think he had something like 15 goals in his final 100 appearances with us. When I think Juan Pablo Angel, I think "missing two penalties in a single game".
  21. I think we can all agree that Adomah should never be brought on to run down the clock again.
  22. He didn't do anything to grab people's attention today, but I don't think there's a chance we play like we did in the first half without him being the focal point. He drags everyone in the team up a level.
