He also stated previously how excited he is about this summer, which was based on Deano saying he'd be excited about the summer if he was a Villa fan. Essentially, he amplifies what the club says. Which I guess is his job.

Deano is class. I love him at Villa. Fan as coach, fan as captain, its wonderful. The love-in Wolves fans have for Nuno is beyond weird though. Tattoo's, tears, a friend of a friend has a framed poster of Nuno on the wall of his front room. The Athletic writer for Wolves wrote yesterday about the "unforgettable, lifetime memories" Nuno created. They got promoted. Then came 7th.

New contract this summer please. If the players deserve to be rewarded for their incredible improvements, so does Deano. We are lucky to have him, he's lucky to have us. It's a wonderful combination, currently.

Based on one season, which has been different to all season's preceeding it. In a new country, in a new team, that is (relatively) new to the league. The short term-ism of Villa fans is disappointing.
