  1. The basic. The **** basics. Both goals we conceded were our fault, basic errors. Ings missing two absolute sitters, basic errors. Can sign all the players we like, if we can't do the basics, we're forever ****. It's so frustrating.
  2. He's worth double that.
  3. Unless another team comes in and offers Barca the money they want and Coutinho the wages he wants. Cough, cough, Newcastle, cough.
  4. Yep. This is why I think we will get a top-notch #6 and we'll see either McGinn move from First XI to the bench or sold altogether. He's not disciplined / good enough in a midfield three to support playing two #10's.
  5. This has to happen - but, it has to happen alongside a plan being made for Coutinho & Buendia in the same team. Emi is too good to be left out.
  6. I have a couple of friends on the waiting list who have absolutely no intention of getting a season ticket. They jumped on the waiting list post-covid when we were starved of football. We've had Claret Memberships the last couple of seasons and probs been to 10 games a year. The shit football, with shit transport, shit service at the stadium and stupid game times / dates, they now laugh at how ridiculous getting a season ticket would be. I feel there will be many more like this. Dangerous game for the club to make major decisions based on a semi-fictional waiting list.
  7. Or, I was just forecasting what was potentially coming next. I cheered with my son and friends as wildly as the next person when we scored. You're better than this @briny_ear.
  8. If that goal hadn't gone in before half time, it would have been vicious from the fans. The Holte was bubbling away for a seriously negative reaction.
  9. On the bus home from VP. That was absolutely dreadful. We are worse now than under Deano, not a shred of doubt in my mind. Buendia over Coutinho every time. Ramsey man of the match for 90 minutes, but on impact and performance either Buendia or Ings. I just want the season to end and the players clearly agree.
  10. Well, according to a few people many pages back who answered my question on what "option to buy" meant, all contracts have already been agreed. We literally just have to pay the money in the initial agreement with Barca. (I completely disagree with this, but they were adamant). I would rather we focus on developing Buendia and let Coutinho go elsewhere, I think we'll sign him though as a Gerrard vanity project. (Vanity project is probably the wrong phrase, but I can't think of the right one).
  11. I was wondering if Villa would do this given he signed his previous contract not too long ago. It has quite important ramifications for next season. We know a "#6" is coveted, I think it's clear Luiz will be sold. I wouldn't be at all surprised if McGinn is benched or sold also. If we went into next season with a midfield three of McGinn, Ramsey and "#6" its not much of an upgrade on what we have. It needs overhauling and if Ramsey is the future, McGinn may not be the present.
  12. Burnley had absolutely nothing to lose in sacking him. They'd just lost to Norwich and were down. At least this has given them a bounce and some renewed spirit.
  13. He did pretty well in picking Deano.
  14. It's a really shit plan.
  15. Given Atletico won it last season, whose the other team that can win La Liga?
  16. Opening game Monday at 1000? Yeah, no thanks.
  17. Richarlison in the #6 role? That'll please the masses.
  18. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Jesus, I'm **** old.
  19. Twenty year anniversary of the 1992 Premier League? Villa, United, Norwich and Blackburn go down under? I'm all over this.
