Sure Ollie has dropped off a bit in these last 4 games, but so has the rest of the team. If he was missing a hatful of chances, or the rest of the team bar him was performing to a high standard then I’d be concerned, but we’re not creating a great deal for him currently.

I appreciate that with the pending arrival of Alemany that we’re going to be linked with a lot of ‘names’, but I still maintain that I am happy with whoever Unai chooses. He’s got my backing 100%.

If you’d asked me 6 months ago, I would’ve said that I think his time at Villa is done, but after seeing what Unai has done to resurrect the career of a lot of the first team, I’m prepared to keep an open mind on anyone. I’m sure Unai will have a look in preseason at all the youngsters who have been on loan in the championship, and decisions will be made.

It was based statistically. The thing that I do like about Pete is that he gives his opinion, I don’t always agree with it but it’s his opinion rather than just being safe. It’s the way to drive traffic for his channel, I think you do have to try and watch/listen to views that differ to your own, even if just for balance.

If, and it’s a big IF with the great form that they are in this season, we beat them then I hope we do a trolling team photo in the changing room afterwards. That’ll really boil the geordie’s p***! I love it that they hate us, I was there when they got relegated in 2009, and I laughed like everyone else did. Because of course had the shoe been on the other foot, they wouldn’t have mocked us or given us ANY s*** at St James’ Park about it right? Big babies, it’s football, get over it! I’d love a win, I’ll be more than happy with a draw though as Eddie Howe has transformed them into a very good side.
