Great news to tie him down, has grown into a fine captain for us. And to think, there are still people dropping him out of our team in their little fantasy 11 for once the transfer window has closed. He’s our skipper, Unai loves him, and he will be playing whenever he is fit enough to do so.

Where you obviously know timescales etc with kits when it comes to changes of manufacturer/badge/sponsor due to your knowledge in the biz, are we generally pretty slow with these things or is this fairly normal and we’re just being impatient? It just always seems like our kits are one of the last to be released every single year.

It’s such a difficult subject for me as a white man, the last thing I would want to do is to tell any person of colour how they should feel about it. The problem I find these days, and it’s not just when it comes to race, is how a lot of people are desperate almost to be offended on behalf of someone else. The best thing that can be done imo is an apology, and removal of the picture from Monchi’s social media. While the intentions might not have been bad, you’re just not going to justify blackface here in the UK in 2023.

I understand that Ollie doesn’t score every chance he gets, but what I don’t understand is this perception that he is wasteful. ALL strikers miss chances, Even the monster that is Erling Haaland went on a run of one goal in 7 games towards the end of the season. If he stays fit, and plays regularly, you can quote me now - Ollie bags 20 goals next season.

Re Tielemans, I think this is the sort of deal to judge at the end of the window. If he’s one of 3 or 4 incoming then I will be disappointed, but we need to build a squad that may need to play 15-20 games more than last season.

I would be happy with any improvement points-wise on last season’s tally in the league, and would love a cup run (or 3…). The main thing is to be making progress on this season, even if that progress is small.

We’re a 6/10 in the nightclub, trying to go home with some 8/10’s and 9/10’s, it’s going to take some graft, and we are going to get a fair share of no’s, but make no mistake - when all is said and done, we’ll be getting some!

While it wouldn’t quite be swapping one bench for another, surely if he goes to PSG then he’s just going from being a rotation option at Madrid to similar in Paris? Surely he’s at the point of his career where he wants to play every week?

Has been a bit unfortunate with not regaining his place after Young did well post-WC, and then his injury. I’m willing to give Cash some more time to see if he can improve in the same way others like McGinn, Mings and Konsa have under Emery, before I’d be wanting him to move on. With Young not getting a new deal, there will be a new RB coming in regardless so hopefully it’s someone to challenge for the starting spot and it spurs Matty on.

Would be an awesome start to the summer if we can pull this deal off. I have a feeling that this will be a summer like we have never seen before as far as the quality of footballer that we will be bringing to the club.
