  1. As @Stevo985says above, calorie counting is working for me, mainly by using portion control weighing out product instead of just throwing it in the pan. Also, soup (homemade) is proving a god send, and fruit (probably haven't eaten fruit since before lockdown). Another thing is no alcohol, as mentioned in the dry January thread, not drinking has cut out the late night snacks, and also I think @snowychapmentioned in a previous thread about not eating after 7pm. That is something we have changed, previously we never ate until about 8pm, probably due to living in Cyprus and their late evening eating culture. All told, about 9lbs gone in the first week.
  2. I thought Elphick was still at Huddersfield, how have we got him registered in time.
  3. And same here. No alcohol hopefully means no desire for snacks in the late evening.
  4. **** off Lineker, watching MOTD, Manure can’t afford Jack
  5. Totally get that. Daughter is Customer Experience Manager for one of the Big 4, been sworn at, had a doctor hope that she was never in the operating theatre due to my daughter asking to see NHS ID as she was shopping in the NHS hour. Never mind punches being thrown when asking general public to comply with the government advice.
  6. Supermarkets failing or people failing? Personally had enough of my daughter being abused by the good old general public since the start of this fungus. Not her fault you have to queue or wear a face mask and there may be shortages on shelf as Armageddon is coming.
  7. The lad bought me this for Christmas, very pleasant.
  8. Desmond Tutu Gene Hackman Demi Lovato Jessie J Jean Marie Le Pen
  9. He’s been away for a while baby and COVID but @Dom_Wrenis back and flooding the threads tonight
  10. That’s me as well, less the compliance/regulatory/governance stuff. My boss wants to know if I want to do anything different, no thanks happy doing what I do with more capacity space due to customer base. I mean how hard is it to sell toilet rolls in 2020.
  11. I knew the Nokia one, we still have a paper mill called Nokia.
  12. Russell fastest in first practice.
  13. Not so much now, dodgy penalty and deflected shot puts them 2-1 up

@GarethRDR post above, has reminded me of another football favourite.

When Action Man got gripping hands and eagle eyes, my life was changed. Come at me Kenneth . Also Meccano, subbeuteo (if losing against my elder brothers snapped the players) and scalextric. Hornby train sets as well, Flying Scotsman must be worth a fortune now, wonder where it is now, probably still in my parents loft.
  16. FTFY, never a better year to sell toilet paper
  17. As a Cestrian this hype hopefully can only go one way, and it fails miserably, apologies to @Wezbid
  18. Family across the road who did not adhere to any lockdown, moved their sons boyfriend in at the height due to their sons mental health, organised an orchestral Christmas lights switch on as it’s been a tough year. All planned for the 5th December, mince pies and mulled wine, neighbours on both sides have already done their decorations and lights are up and blazing, cheers me up no end. Take that you genuflecting Tories
  19. I need to go to bed there are so many times you can rewind MOTD2 to watch the comments
  20. Does the top sheet, if you put in on properly, ie over the top, feel good? Bonus points if it’s 3 ply and not that 4 ply shit from the Labrador company
