  1. Bunn still needs to prove he can be a long term replacement but I think you've picked the wrong game to make the point. I didn't see any nervousness in dealing with the numerous back passes and he definitely did not 'leave' the shot that flicked the outside of the post. He dived to save it and slow motion replays appear to show he might have got his glove tips to it, so definitely NOT 'left'. Two fantastic saves and no mistakes make for a great game, IMO.

    2016 Review

A couple of unexpected (for some) political results and what appears to be an above average amount of famous people dying (although I think the 'above average' bit has been disproved). I hope it doesn't appear selfish if my review of 2016 centres on the health, happiness and success of my family and friends together with my relationship with my wife and my work/life balance. All things considered 2016 has been a great year.
  4. May didn't comment but JC said he liked it. They briefly mentioned it's relatively disappointing lap time but didn't focus on the high running costs or the likely poor build quality.
  5. I'm not party to the figures that will have been plugged into the formulas and calculations regarding GG's cost (salary) and benefit (through playing or sale) to the club so, despite me yet to be convinced of GG's advantage for our club, I'm not going to get fussed about why the club has chosen to do what that have. Alternatively, I could post two variations in anticipation of a smug hindsight follow-up: Stupid decision - he hasn't improved as a player and we're stuck with him / he's left on a free Bruce got the best out of him and we eventually sold him for £3.5m - good job he didn't leave on a free.
  6. You missed out his response! Was it embarrassed mumbling or did he try to BS his way out of it?
  7. I'm sure the club will have weighed up the balance between his wages verses his benefit to the squad and/or future sale value. Even though some may not rate GG, I think most would be annoyed if we didn't get a fee for him.
  8. Any news on who the player is that has verbally agreed to sign for us in January?
  9. I assume he didn't see the car because he was foolishly crossing the road between two vehicles (the bus and whatever vehicle, possibly another bus, was filming). Looking at the speed the car was going, the lad could owe his life to slipping on the ice!
  10. Just seen it announced on BBC1. "Parted company" was the only detail.
  11. I believe the booking was for a group that was already inclusive of non-whites, so I hope not!
  12. When you know the restaurant isn't that busy and is no longer as good as previously thought, an approximation should suffice. You shouldn't be expected to state an exact time you'll be eating each course and what each course will be, especially as the restaurant has refused to let you know what is on the menu - since hearing you would like to look at other restaurants. It's time for you to enjoy adding other restaurants to your gastronomic experience.
  13. Wrong un he?! His parents must have loved 'off topic'! In any case, when referring to the guy 'going mad', I think ender4 was referring to the white guy.
  14. I've been to around 700 first team matches and 50 reserve matches at Villa Park and never left even a second before the final whistle. I wouldn't criticise those that do, but it's not something I could ever do.
  15. As the 23rd is further away from the 21st than the 20th is, it was probably the 23rd. 21st > 22nd > 20th > 23rd. All more likely than the 12th!
  16. I'm glad I was taught the most common shortest day! I'd be interested to see what proportion of shortest days fall on the 22nd and 20th. I imagine the shortest day falling on the 23rd is pretty rare. I also wonder if those dates are specific to the UK or apply to anywhere in the northern hemisphere.
  17. I did. Looks like the 21st is shorter which also matches up to what I was taught about 40 years ago.
