  1. Warnock's been excellent in the last few mins, he's so dependent on confidence.
  2. Don't they have an owner who is richer than the Man City owner? Nope. Tony Fernandes the majority shareholder is worth about £300m I believe.
  3. So was Drogba, really can't see either happening.
  4. You could always fly with Ryanair to Girona/Reus and jump on a bus to Barcelona, it's not a particularly long journey, just over an hour if memory serves.
  5. To be fair, this Edinburgh rugby shirt is top notch:
  6. For once, you can trust NV as a credible ITK source I'd say.
  7. That's the talk within the industry so I'm 99% it's true. Bugger. I know Umbro is owned by Nike but surely you can have a word :winkold: Sadly Villa aren't a hot property any more. A huge amount of work has to go into a team if you're to give them top treatment and Villa don't warrant it. A smaller company like Macron may be more inclined to do it. Yeah but New York Cosmos aren't even a team I kid, of course, I understand that we aren't a strong brand. I seem to remember the Diadora kits being made very poorly, let's hope Macron put a bit more care into our kit than their Italian counterparts.

  9. I see Gardner's starting at RB for Sunderland today.
  10. Except if you watch a replay he wasn't nearer to the opponents' goal line than the ball.
  11. Albrighton's been poor tonight, wouldn't be surprised to see Bannan on for him.
  12. Is it me or is Cuellar's distribution much improved?
  13. Won't be sad to see HMV go, but will befo a bit gutted if it leads to Fopp closing (even if it has gone downhill since HMV took over)
  14. Always helps if you read the original post first :winkold:
  15. Actually it's not from a Murdoch paper. It's from the Sky News site :winkold:
  16. Dive by Modric, almost as blatant as Larsson's last week. Yet, shock, horror the commentators don't agree
  17. It's the board's fault. I still don't understand how they let the wages get into such a state and the club is suffering because of that. Did MON sign too many squad player on big wages? Yes of course, but the club is a shambles if no-one was able to recognise this as it was happening. As for those 3 players those are all players he signed and we sold for a big profit, hardly something to criticise him for. So basically it's the boards fault for letting him spend money on dross but there is no credit for the funds on the likes of Young, Downing and Milner. Meanwhile O'Neill gets all the credit for the good signings but its not his fault he signed dross on big wages. Very balanced viewpoint. Am I criticising the board for making funds available for players to MON. Of course not. Nor am I excusing some of MONs purchases. That's not the point though. He should never have had full control over transfers and in particular the contracts we offered players. I just cannot accept the board turning round and telling us how the wage bill is out of control when they watched on as it got bigger and bigger.
  18. Wait a minute... that's the smartest thing I've ever heard anyone say. As I work in one of those fine (ahem) supermarkets I can tell you that the stall owners buy loads of their stock from us and then sell it on at a big profit. Guess that's not that surprising really.

  20. Hughes or O'Neill will be appointed I'd imagine.
  21. Please please bring Jenas on for Delph, he's beyond awful.
  22. Rubbish. The figures speak for themselves, he spent what he did and we were pushing fourth - and not lower than 6th. Since then we are a nowhere Club who will be lucky to stay in the PL. One day - if we are very very lucky - we might get someone else who will 'underacheive' to that extent - but I doubt it. With the money he spent, 6th is hardly an achievement, especially when you consider Everton would regularly finish above us despite their obvious financial difficulties. Where are we now ? Say what you like and criticise but we hadn't done as well as regularly before and we certainly aren't now. Just because we're not doing so well now doesn't suddenly make him a good manager. How much money did City spend before they managed to qualify for the Champions League? Bare in mind they started off with a much better squad than we had too as well being a more attractive prospect for players to join too. Think half of our fanbase underestimate how difficult it was to crack the top 4 at that time, just as Lerner did.
  23. The Syndicate guy in that video is not the one I thought it was. I was referring to the one that posts all the COD zombie videos on YouTube, he's TheSyndicateProject. He's from the England, not sure where abouts though. He's from Manchester. Anyway you know you are a massive nerd when you go and watch a black ops gameplay in your youtube sub-box and you recognised Nayson with the highest rated comment.
