  1. AND we hit the stanchion and he didn't award us a goal. Shocker from Atwell.
  2. Is Rob Hawthorne a Villa fan. Would be nice to have an all Villa supporting commentary team.
  3. That's where Makoun needs to be playing though, in and around the box. Up until then he'd been poor again, more of the same please!
  4. What the hell is going on with Sky's coverage?! It's payback time?! No bias there at all!
  5. He must mean Hughton and not Houghton surely?! Mind you he did just advocate Maradona...
  6. But you always liked cupcake. Odd. I always thought it was 'sugartits'
  7. Jet lag. Ok, maybe it should piss me off. Either way, I feel the need to moan about it.
  8. where did we finish 12th? 11th

    Twitter

Seems like @TheBig_Sam has been banned now.
  10. You're certainly not the only one and it seems to have affected PS3 players more too. Instead of continuously patching the 74u, I wish they'd finally do something to sort out the connection problems, I'm fed up of failed host migrations etc.
  11. I didn't see the Fulham game as I was at work, but I remember at half time, whoever was doing the minute by minute on the sky sports app said that Makoun was being overshadowed by Sidwell. As I say, I've got no idea though. In the games I have seen him in, it looks like he'll be a lot stronger when he plays against teams who'll give him time on the ball and on bigger pitches. If he's got time and space he looks like he can really spray the ball around, but looks less convincing when he's getting pressurised by the other team.
  12. Taking her to see British Sea Power. And they say romance is dead eh?!
  13. Stevo you should try the Cats Protection League too, although they do visit to make sure it's a suitable home for a cat.

    Dr Pepper

I don't get this. I LOVE marzipan, but I hate Dr Pepper - and I don't think it tastes anything like marzipan. In fact I was surprised to see somebody hated it but loved cherry Coke; they seem very similar to me - that artificial chemical cherry taste (which is nothing like real cherries). Red Bull is in the same nasty ballpark. I'm sure when I was a kid I was given medicine that tasted exactly like it. Horrible. There's definitely an almond taste to it, hence why 'Dr Pepper' style cocktails always use Amaretto as a base. I quite like Dr Pepper but it's got a weird after taste. I seriously love Cherry Coke, maybe it's a reminder of when I was young, but I can't get enough of the stuff, even if deep down I know it's sugary crap.
  15. Can someone explain to me why the ref stopped the game for Nani then?
  16. No, keep having opinions. It just means we can take the opposite view to you and we can be certain we'll be correct :winkold:
  17. Nothing to lift you? Apart from a large and vocal away support on your debut you mean?
  18. Their home record this season: W2 D6 L5 (4 before last night), hardly daunting. It must have felt like a home game last night in terms of support. As I said in the reactions thread I thought he did ok, nothing more, but showed promise, but at this point that's pretty much all I was expecting.
  19. Oh and a special mention to how awful Wigan are. Surely they won't stay up? Extremely poor all over the pitch.
  20. I deffo heard "Houlliers claret & blue army" tonite. Yeah, that was the only one though. I did wonder whether Bicks was singing it or not though :winkold:
  21. Just got back. Personally I thought that Baker looked pretty shaky and Gabby didn't give him enough help. Might be something to do with him being a striker rather than a winger. Downing was pretty poor tonight to me, he wasn't awful but one of his poorer appearances this season. Makoun looked off the pace and the game seemed to pass him by somewhat, although that's not a surprise considering how little time he's had with the team. He showed some nice touches though which is encouraging. I also thought Young had one of his better games for a while and that seemed to be because he was drifting out wide. NRC and the two central defenders were also excellent, we look a lot more sturdy in defence now.
