    Sorry, that's just not true, we were 2 points and superior goal difference ahead of 18th. There were several games in which he was the main reason we got anything out of it and without him we may well have gone down.

    Why are you still hanging on what he said? I'm not saying he's making it up, but whoever his source is doesn't seem the most reliable to me. It already has been put to bed, when OGS explained why he was staying at Molde, he's no longer an option.

    Look I only said what had been typed on a message board and my post said "if it's true".... why get upset with my post if everything posted on a message board is tosh? If you don't want to take any notice of any supposed ITK from Gazton, MM or anyone else...then just dont' read it. If someone has genuinely changed their mind at the last minute or AVFC have pulled out then it's no one's fault on VT We'll just all have to wait and see. There is no 'if', he's not coming and I have absolutely no idea why people can't accept that.

    But they do look like they've gone against the wishes of the fans though. Not if its explained away by him turning us down so he doesn't uproot his family. Maybe some people will question it, but most will take it at face value.

    I've got a feeling we decided not to offer him the job and the way they've announced it was to save face for all parties. Villa don't look like they've gone against the wishes of the fans and OGS can go to Rokke and say he turned us down and that he is 100% committed to Molde. I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories but it would make sense to me.

    It's just a bit strange that this is coming from just one norwegian source (TV2) and it seems everyone is just jumping on that quote without asking important questions, like who the hell is this Doogan fellow and why is he speaking to TV2 and no one else. He'll have briefed the English journos too, don't forget they broke the story. It's just for whatever reason they chose not to mention him by name.
