  1. If that Arsenal header went in you'd still be saying we've got worse every game. I fully expect you to retract this comment and go back to that if we go down. Remarkable opinion. Absolutely remarkable. In the Championship you were defending draws and losses with teams with a twentieth of our budget because you decided you liked the manager. Now a second miracle in two seasons could have you folding your arms saying " Ah, but this isn't enough". God knows what you want.
  2. Rafael Cabral from Reading I'd go for as a keeper.
  3. And if Nketiah's header had gone in no positivity would be around. The performance wouldn't have been good. Smith was clueless again etc etc.
  4. Walking up Wembley way for the final last year he was wandering through the villa fans back towards the Hilton. Not one person stopped him.

    Chelsea

In the full clip he's having a right go at someone on the bench. Certainly someone with a brain like Lampard I don't think would flippantly aim that at Klopp.
  6. You've invented an alternate reality here sir. There has been some Jack bleating, not a huge amount on here compared with other platforms. It's the first time I can ever remember it and I really don't like it. Benteke, Barry, Milner etc, it was all people wanting them to stay so we could kick on. This is a sign of the times and the top teams being in another world. They are better and media will tell you they're better and you're nowhere near as good. The PL and football is so strung out financially, we're approaching to point that 99% of upsets will be gone, like a couple a season. We've already got the champions losing two or three games a season maximum. If the EFL brings in that wage cap that's rumoured it's the end. Those teams that win promotion will be like non-league sides every week before going down 18/19/20 every season. Delighted to be going down having snuck 5 wins all season and seen some big grounds.
  7. Didn't see that news! Get him in as director of football! One of the best sides to watch I've ever seen. They cause utter mayhem with every attack, relentless. Don't think Gasperini will want to move on, even for a huge job. This team clicking as it has is the culmination of years of work for him. Their recruitment is incredible, don't know who's in charge of all that but we could try and get someone from behind the scenes.
  8. Arsenal was the west brom second leg for me. I felt horrendous. I could only see it going very wrong. We did the business. I feel slightly better about West Ham. It's Derby all over again because this is it now, finishing the job, and it's not the impossible challenge It was said earlier, lost the post now, but under Smith you can't argue with our "pressure" performances. We seem to handle it well. The fans don't, obviously, I feel like I'm going to collapse every time we concede a corner. I think a point will be enough.
  9. I didn't believe when I heard it. Their reaction was already over the top. A mass celebration from fans and the club that they're selling an incredible prospect. Genuinely the most embarrassing thing I can remember from a club. Great that it's Blues.
  10. £5m Wolves for him for That is cheating. We need to find a top agent who will start collecting all his players at Villa.
  11. Wes: Overpaid and a poor player Trez: Overpaid and a poor player Targett: Overpaid Nakamba: Overpaid and up and down Heaton, Reina, Guilbert, Hause, Mings (just about), Konsa, Engels, Luiz, El Ghazi, Samatta were good signings for the money based on what we had already/have seen. It'll all be weighed up by Purslow and I presume Suso will be moved on. I think Smith is performing a miracle before our eyes and I'm not in any rush to give Suso credit for it. He's made Smith's job much harder than it needed to be. I see Brighton and Norwich have already made several moves in the transfer market. No surprise with Ashworth and Webber in position there. Fingers crossed the two mystery academy signings come to fruition for us.
  12. Oh my Christ I won't be able to handle this sort of silliness.
  13. 20th without a doubt next year. Hopefully we'll be in the league to take points off them.
  14. "Here's your choice of wingers: X, Y and Trez. Want to go watch Trez as we can afford him and he's playing during the summer?" Suso signs the players. Make sure you beat Bournemouth please.
  15. Definitely left footed sir. Bad miss, thankfully it didn't cost us. Ideal situation is we stay up and he can go and play for six months in the Championship every week.
  16. It'll take him a couple of months and he'll be a key man in that side. Put him anywhere. I was totally resigned to going down. Bit of hope now so I don't want him going anywhere. If he was to leave to a UK side, I'd enjoy seeing how far Pep could push him.
  17. Hopeful of some @OutByEaster? post-walk thoughts. Always the highlights of these threads.
  18. Absolutely **** mental down there tonight. I really don't want to be in it next year. Just watch at the entertaining carnage from afar.
  19. Big game for him on Sunday. Needs to curb his natural desire to charge out of position and tackle the guy on the ball.
  20. Don't feed trolls please. It'll be a stone cold second miracle. This team is not good enough. We'll need at least five, maybe six/seven starting players replacing if we pull this off. GK, front three, Grealish, LB/RB Then depth for every position especially centre mid.
  21. He also said we'd have stayed up if Sherwood never got the sack. Doesn't have a scooby doo about football.
  22. As a centre half, that's a good sign for him I'd say. Many Southampton signings are annoyingly sensible.
  23. I DON'T KNOW. IT'S VERY ANNOYING.
