Just brilliant. Sky high potential. The occasional whiff in possession in dangerous areas may not ever fully go away but he makes up for it so much. The Emery factor at play here is that he elevates players like no one else. To levels IMO I don't think they know they'll have. Konsa, McGinn, Luiz, Bailey, Watkins, many more. Transformed. Rogers wasn't playing like this for Boro. Does that matter now? Nope.

His job selection has been rotten post-Villa. He'll always be one of my heroes. Made us 5x better immediately, 10 games in a row, etc etc. No coincidence Emery thanked him during that interview. He knows the fine work he did here. 0% chance Konsa or Watkins are here without Deano. Others as well but definitely those two. You can probably throw Martinez in as well. Deano brought Cutler in who was the main man saying this is our guy.

Brentford have done another sensible thing and decided they aren't missing out on £40m+ for Toney and dropped him entirely so he can't get injured So Watkins is there unless he gets injured. And he bloody deserves it. Southgate will hate picking him as well.

Mainstay in a not great team that's comfortably stayed up their first year up. Ability to get round someone in no at all space is really good. As is playing so many games at such a young age. I don't think we need him particularly. Probably too similar to Buendia. We wouldn't lose money on him though.

He didn't time waste. He didn't do anything to the crowd that the ref booked him for. The ref still booked him twice.

It didn't but it happened because of moments before when Emi was stood on the ball in open play and the ref was swayed by the crowd. The ref certainly made motion it was for multiple time wasting incidents. Which it wasn't. It was barely one.
