  1. Things that piss you off that shouldn't..........Villa !!!!!
  2. Face up to it. We are down. I posted previously that the silence from the club is deafening and i truly believe we will sign nobody in this window. The way the club has been run over the last 5 years the owner and the so called board have already demonstrated they are planning for the Championship. Fox as much said so when he came out and said the club are geared up for if they do go down.
  3. The silence from VP is deafening. What are they doing? I know we are only four days into January but we need quick action. I now believe we will sign nobody as the club are prepared for relegation.
  4. Match betting has us a favourites at 11/10. I'm going to be taking a punt on Wycombe at 12/5 a good price for the home team and when we lose again at least it will help ease the pain. This is something i am going to do for every home match we play as the away side should be a reasonable price.
  5. and then you wake up and realise it was a dream....a wet one!!!!!!
  6. Lerner, Fox, Almstadt, Sherwood, Garde, Guzan, Bacuna, Hutton, Richards, Richardson, Okore, Clark, Gueye, Sinclair, Westwood, Lescott, Vertout, Ayew, Gestede, Grealish, Gil, to name but a few. I have deliberately left a few out as they have not played, but EVERY single one of them are part of the ones who send us down.
  7. for me not one of them are good enough for the week in week out consistency required for the premiership. When we get relegated lets see how many of them get another club and stay in the premiership. How many of this lot will be in peoples fantasy league teams up and down the country? I would hazard a guess and say a big fat zero. Now we obviously cant go out and buy a new team, but unless Garde or whoever it is in charge of transfer policy goes out and gets 5 or 6 quality players to bolster some of the better ones we do have we will be doing well to stay out of the 5 lowest ever points total which ranges from 11 Derby County amassed in 2007/08 to Bradford City's 26 in 2000/01.
  8. sorry but finding it so, so, so difficult to muster up any real enthusiasm to even make a constructive post in any threads atm
  9. thread should be re-named to LOWLIGHTS!!!!!!
  10. add Sinclair and Bacuna to that. How they get to play is beyond me.
  11. 5 minutes ago, pacbuddies said: This thread is so depressing. Full of quitters and losers. thats because we have had the shit kicked out of us for the last five years. The club have driven the majority down the road of apathy!!!!
  12. Agree its easier for London it has the obvious catchment of being the capital, but as for Manchester. Birmingham has as much going on for it as Manchester. For Fox to say revenues have hardly changed just sums it up even more for me. What have we been doing to market the club? Once again, its a lack of foresight and smacks of complacency. What have we been doing in the Far East to market the club to a massive fan base who are interested in the Premier League. Granted the vast majority will follow the Sky 4/5, but we have done the square root of jack !!!! Once again missed opportunities from a mis guided management team.
  13. imo worst owner ever only in it for the money, how come the mighty Crystal Palace can get funds from America? How come Man City can get even more funds from China? But he cant actively find a buyer? I cannot believe we are not an attractive club with our history, heritage, platform and fan base. MBNA left to him by Daddy, result sold it. Cleveland Browns left to him by Daddy, result sold it. Aston Villa, bought him self and now want to sell There is a common theme here in that cannot see anything out. A Lucky man born with a silver spoon. For me, even if he bank rolls us to safety in January and by some miracle we survive, he will still rank as the worst. He needs to to go, we will not do anything under his stewardship. Nothing. I am fully aware of the 'be careful what you wish for' thing, but the sooner he does one the better. Clueless.

    VPN

Been doing a bit of simple research on VPN's if this helps anyone who is after one. There is a whole thread on this on reddit click here for the google doc spreadsheet There are so many out there. At the end of the day you pays your money and takes your choice.
  15. He and only he is the person to blame for the mess we are in. not Houllier, not McLeish, not Sherwood, not Lambert, not O'Neill and not Gardde. I have said it before, leadership and direction comes from the top and he has shown neither. The flags, the tattoo, the Holte Pub, the scarves, the ''Proud history bright future'', the General, the banners, the promises, the hope and then..... ....the lies, the silence, the incompetence, the mismanagement, the absence, the divorce, the transfers, the recruitment, the treatment of the fans, the contempt, the hypocrisy...... all of this is why Randolph Lerner will go down in history as one of the worst ''custodians'' of this football club.
  16. Opta Stats are here Its all very damming....another nail in the coffin However, tomorrows result will not be the decider. Next weeks game against Newcastle is the one. Its a must win. Lose that one and the season is all about trying to get past Derby County's lowest Prem points total. We are in such a sorry state and there is only one person to blame.....Lerner. Arsenal have lost none of their last 16 Premier League visits to Villa Park (W9 D7). Only three teams have ever enjoyed better runs of away results in Football League history (Liverpool at Sunderland – 20 games, Man Utd at Aston Villa – 20 games, Chelsea at Spurs – 17 games). Aston Villa have earned more points away from home against Arsenal (20) than they have at home (18) in the Premier League era. Aston Villa have gone 14 games without a win, the longest run without a victory in their league history (1888-present day). Aston Villa have won none of their last eight Premier League games at Villa Park (D2 L6). Eight consecutive home games without a victory equals Aston Villa’s longest ever run in the league set in March 1921 and matched in October 1987. Arsenal have lost just two of their last 14 Premier League away games (W10 D2 L2). Petr Cech has kept 168 clean sheets in the Premier League – just one behind the all-time leading goalkeeper in this category, David James (169). Olivier Giroud has scored in each of his last four appearances against Aston Villa in all competitions and has currently scored 49 goals in the Premier League. Mesut Ozil has both scored and assisted in his last two Premier League appearances against Aston Villa. Only against Everton (4 – one goal, three assists) has he had a hand in as many goals as he has against Villa (4 – two goals, two assists).
