  1. To think where we were only three or four years ago to where we are now, we could see at least seven or eight first team players going to the World Cup later this year: Martinez, Cash, Mings, Digne, Luiz, McGinn, Coutinho, Watkins, all looking likely. Then Buendia and J Ramsey might just sneak in as well. Absolutely incredible turnaround in our squad over the last few seasons. We may even sign one or two players in the summer that’ll be going to the World Cup as well. Just brilliant.
  2. This thread today reminds me of this: “BOF, BOF, BOF, BOF, BOF”
  3. I have nothing against the bloke at all but nobody will convince me that Connor Coady is an international class footballer. Really shouldn’t be getting caps and just shows how weak we are currently in this area. It’s strange because growing up it’s an area of the field where I always thought that we were strong in but now we have Stones, Coady, Maguire, Mings, as our most senior figures. That’s a pretty poor bunch to go into a tournament.

Temptation has got the better of me and I’ve just purchased the “Longines HydroConquest XXll Commonwealth Games Limited Edition”. Limited to 2,022 being made. Mrs F got me a 20% teacher discount at Goldsmiths online, which finally swayed the purchase and I’ve got a decent bit of time to pay it off interest free. Really looking to wearing it now.
  5. If we have any aspiration of breaking into the top eight next season, then McGinn cannot be a regular starter for us. I will use Arsenal today as an example but just look at their midfield, who are all so comfortable with the football. McGinn just isn’t. He’ll put a foot in at times, use his arse to decent effect and pop off the odd good shot but boy he’s limited. Personally, I would look to move him on for a top fee in the summer.
  6. Agree with all of the above. Just can’t be our regular starter next season.
  7. Will be a bit controversial this post but this area of the field is our biggest problem and requires some major thinking over the summer. Nakamba - obviously limited but retain as our back up no6. Luiz - would like him to sign a new deal and retain to fight for his place as an no8. Will have to be sold though if he doesn’t sign a new deal this summer. McGinn - would honestly move on for a top price. We need to improve on McGinn if we want to break into the top eight. Sanson - perhaps there’s a reason why he doesn’t play? Smith and now Gerrard haven’t fancied him. Move on in the summer. Chukwuemeka - would love him to stay and sign a new deal but perhaps he’ll leave. J Ramsey - big future and been a bright spark this season for us. Iroegbunam - could be the surprise package next season. Looking forward to seeing what he’s about. I honestly think between three or four of the above could go in the summer. A couple out of choice and a couple because they won’t sign new deals. That means possibly three or four coming in.
  8. It’s been easy for Arsenal to be fair, Leno has barely had to make a save.
  9. I can only assume that Douglas Luiz must score worldie freekicks in training every week.
  10. Perhaps Bailey on and put the ball over the top a bit more. Playing out from the back just isn’t working.
  11. Hopefully Arsenal’s energy levels will be a little off after their midweek game.
  12. He’s picked the team that I thought he would, now let’s see if they perform. Big day for Buendia to stake a claim for a regular starting spot again.
  13. This is total carnage. Multiple injuries, a sending off. Love it.
  14. I’ve just had the last two days off work, so really enjoyed watching the festival and going with your tips/suggestions. Honestly, really good form from yourself
  15. Cheers @Brumerican . Your suggestions for today have now put me £28 up for the week. Not a large amount but nice to be up. If Pink Legend had won just, instead of e/w, I would have been £160 up for the week. Still I’ll happily take the £18.70 off her.
  16. Going to be tough this one as Arsenal have been in great form recently, despite their midweek defeat. Last time we played them in October we were pretty dire and the 3-1 score didn’t really reflect the game and it could have been much worse. However, with a full house and on TV, here’s hoping we can catch them on an off day or perhaps with a hangover from their Liverpool defeat. I’d very much like to see a change or two so not to be so predictable. Buendia back in for this one and perhaps Konsa? 1-0 win, maybe. Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Young Ramsey Luiz McGinn Buendia Coutinho Watkins
  17. Finally my first win of the week with Third Wind and puts me £5.00 up now. I’ve certainly had worse weeks.
  18. West Ham are a horrible club from pretty much top to bottom.
