These are highly paid professionals. Of course they should be capable of implementing the manager's instructions, but they should also be capable of independant thought. That ability is not there. They are just not quite good enough.

I don't know about other fans, but I think he is underestimated by some posters on this forum. He does what every striker does - not putting away what appear to be easy chances. We see it all the time. It must be remembered that also Watkins workrate is incredible, and very important to us.

Coutinho, Moreno and Duran deserve to start next game in my opinion. We definitely need better players brought in, in the summer, to enable us to compete with the likes of City. We were very poor in the first half, and they were out of sight by halftime. Now let's see what we can do against Arsenal. Watkins my MOM for a well taken goal and his constant harrying throughout the match. Coutinho was brilliant - he might yet become the player we thought we had bought. Duran is a big guy for his age and a very useful outlet instead of relying on Watkins all the time. That was a sublime goal attempt - we may just have got ourselves one of those much vaunted `hidden gems'.

Absolutely. The questions are bland and unimaginative. I realise they don't want to get barred from the PC's but surely they could up their game a little and ask more searching questions in a considerate way that will not cause offence.

He has always taken his opportunities when he has been given them. And I don't mean 15min substitute appearances.

Luiz and Kamara I agree with as being our best players, but I would add Martinez and Buendia as being equally good. Ramsey is still a work in progress.

I think Martinez needed to judge whether that pass to Kamara was a good idea. All the defenders need to consider on every occasion if the best option is to work it out from the back or hit it long. Just use your head and your experience and err on the side of caution.

Wasteful at the front, careless at the back. Gave them 3 goals. Disappointing. Much work to do. Roll on the summer window.

I think Archer is, and will be, a better striker

He is a much-needed option for up front. It is really that simple.

He himself said that he was setting the bar high and would be very fussy, so he will understand if the players he wanted could not be got. I think he sees the big picture, and also I think his character will not allow him to waste the club's money. I also think that the owners have done, and will do, everything they realistically can to support him.
