  1. Christ, imagine how bad they’ll be when Phillips gets subbed on!
  2. I’m only a few hours in (lv 10) but my lad is blasting through it and loving it. I really like it, it has elements of AC Odyssey, Ghosts of Tsushima and the scale reminds me of Red Dead Redemption!
  3. About to sack their manager. Shouldve known better than to hire someone who had ‘learnt’ under Stevie Geeee!
  4. Guaranteed they won’t play as bad on Wednesday night.
  5. Already had his natural game trained out of him by Pep. However he can now manage a mean 5 yard backwards pass! Pep depletes natural flair and instinct, replacing it with methodical cogs for his football machine.
  6. What an utter knob jockey! Plenty of players didn’t perform for Pep today, including Haaland but did he get a public rollicking?
  7. But our games are never hyped up to be the game of the century between the two most entertaining teams for weeks on end It was a complete wash out of a match and deserves ridicule
  8. What a truly dreadful 45 minutes of football. Bet the media will make it out to be some tactical masterclass instead of calling it out for what it is.. utterly devoid of entertainment
  9. The players don’t appear to be playing for ETH - there’s rarely any effort or desire shown during their matches. I imagine ETH will be shown the door in June and some other poor sap will inherit that basket case of a squad.
  10. 3 episodes into 3 Body Problem and it’s interesting to say the least. Some good characters (but also a couple of whiny ones I have no interest in!) and the plot is unraveling along nicely.
  11. Going to the pub on a weekly basis. Always loved a pint or two with mates but more and more I can’t be bothered. we now meet up now every month or so, which is great for a catch up but the thought of a night out drinking every week no longer interests me. Hardly drink at home either. Don't get me wrong, I still love a good session (usually combined with a gig away somewhere) and I can still sink a few but just don’t want to do it every week.
  12. Must thank MotD for pointing out that Newcastle are the only team in the Premier League to suffer with injuries… The media narrative surrounding plucky Newcastle, down to the bare bones is totally nauseating.
  13. Hmmm sure sure. Nothing to do with repeated allegations of abuse against her made by her entourage and employees then?
  14. There's more than certainly a great player in Ramsey - it's just a shame he's been blighted with injuries since his participation with England U21s last summer. It feels like every time he's got back to match fitness this season and looking good, he's either picked up another niggly injury or had further issues with the foot he injured on international duty, I'm pleased he's back and just hope he stay fit for the run in as he's our best option at LM (especially as McGinn - when not suspended, will be covering for Kamara in CM alongside Luiz).
  15. Pleased he comfortably held his own (no KW gifs!) on the international scene but still doubt Southgate will take him. Walker and TAA will be fit then for the right back berths and Southgate will no doubt opt for Maguire, Stones, Guehi, Colwill and probably the current flavour of the month Branthwaite.
  16. I totally expect Watkins to miss out on the Euros, with Southgate opting to take Toney as back up for Kane. Southgate said before the match yesterday that Toney offers the same as Kane and drops deep to start the attack… so that fits in with Southgate’s one dimensional brand of football. Southgate will also use the excuse of being able to deploy Rashford, Foden and Bowen in a central attacking role too. it’ll suck for Ollie who will no doubt be the top scoring/assisting English striker in the premier league come the end of the season.
  17. Should finish The Gentlemen this evening - on the whole, it’s been an entertaining watch. Will move onto and start 3BP later in the week (after Shogun Wednesday!)
  18. You’ll make me cross, plying the thread with these puns
  19. Made the trip to Bristol yesterday to see Yard Act at the O2 Academy. Supported by the surprisingly good Gustaf, a five piece (four girls, one guy) Brooklyn band who were the perfect foil for the headliner. They all looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves, especially the percussionist who utilised anything for bells, tins, voice modulator and a variety of squeeze dog toys! I’ve seen Yard Act before and was interested to see how there new more ‘danceable’ sound transposed live. They were absolutely phenomenal with the new stuff seamlessly fitting in with older tracks. The band clearly had a great night too and the capacity crowd were well up for it too! Took my 17yr old lad who, to date was happy standing a little back or to the side to watch gigs. This time we were front and centre in the bouncing throng! No doubt I’d definitely watch them again!
  20. I agree with somewhat about the Alien franchise - I really think Ridley Scott screwed the pooch with this convoluted and dreary Prometheus and the other one… so bring back the Space Marines and go for it! Fede Alvarez, in his defence wrote and directed Don’t Breathe - a really decent low budget home invasion film. well worth checking out! Other than that he did a remake of The Evil Dead and involved in the From Dusk Till Dawn series (haven’t watched either)
  21. Might just have to watch Blood Simple again
  22. Agreed, it looks very interesting indeed. however, it’s come at a time when there’s actually some other great programs on (Shogun and The Gentlemen to name two) so have to find time to fit them all in. in all likelihood, we’ll finish The Gentlemen first before taking on 3BP
  23. I like him and think he has the acting chops and physicality to do it. As long as he doesn’t pout for 2 hours like Daniel Craig. Wouldn’t have minded Henry Cavill or James Norton either.
