  1. I remember Zat Knight definitely was. Not sure about Micah Richards. Wiki states he was born in Birmingham though so could be. Irrespective of whether they are Villa fans or not, Bowen and Lolley would both be good signings. Our wide players are probably going to be the biggest upgrade in the summer. I suspect Smith will keep Green and El Ghazi though so the 4 of them would be excellent. If Kodjia stays he can be used up top as a good squad/back up as a minimum.
  2. Neither league game has been moved for this reason this season. The games have been 8.00pm kick off away and 3.00pm kick off at home. Pretty sure no real trouble after either game. Also 2nd leg is going to be an evening kick off in any event and the 1 more likely, if any, trouble is going to be at. Don't think the police are quite as worried as with this fixture as with the Villa v Blues games; probably something to do with the other team involved in that one...
  3. The examples you have given are fair comment, but given that list of names, it is very probable that at least 1 or more will die and this sentence becomes particularly relevant. I still think they could have justified another episode, or perhaps even lengthen each of the 2 episodes a bit.
  4. To be fair though Leeds have done the double over both Derby and Bristol City. They could get a lift against either of them, particularly with the 2nd leg at home. Against Boro they could only manage 2 draws. Seem to struggle to break them down and may not be able to come away from the 1st leg with a win. Just saying... 1st things 1st though, lets go and beat them
  5. What @sne has said. When we signed him there was reference to an option to buy (which appears in Football Manager as well, not that it should be taken as gospel). I think the figure of £6 million is what has been stated and if so, absolute bargain in this day and age. Whilst he can have off days, his form over the last 10 games (like many other players) has been outstanding and should definitely be part of the team next season which ever league we are in.
  6. Yeah I can see the accusations being made, but surely there's a middle ground in there? Rather than simply state what has happened, put their spin or discuss what was important to them. It doesn't have to be a regurgitation, but it will help the characters develop the relationships given how much each of them has gone through to get here, particularly as they are likely to kill off a few in next weeks episode.
  7. I have enjoyed the return and I am looking forward to next weeks battle and the death of multiple characters. However, whilst I agree with @Stevo985 with there being some character development in the 2nd episode, I have felt that the last 2 episodes were rushed and that they could have almost justified another episode to be fitted in before the battle. It has felt that we have just touched upon each character and that's it. The Yara escape scene took less than 2 minutes, Grey Worm and Missandre seemingly have had 1 key conversation that's it, Dany forgiving Jaime for killing her father pretty quickly and Arya and Gendry getting it on after a couple of scenes, that definitely escalated quickly! It has felt that every conversation is there simply because it needs to be, rather than something that people would actually talk about when they have not seen each other for a very long time. There hasn't been any real rebuilding/rekindling of old friendships/rivalries and where that has happened (the Nights Watch - again a few sentences). The only scene that really did that, IMO, was the fighters sitting by the fire, which I did enjoy. I know pacing has been a massive issue of the show, but for me, it just glanced past all the build up, losing real building of suspension. I appreciate that they wanted this season to be all killer, no filler, but I do think that they have missed the mark a little bit here.
  8. Leeds are for the taking. Players were tired today but mainly because of 2 games in quick succession. I suspect Deano will play as strong as side as possible, given they will be on the verge of missing out autos they will be demoralised and the prospect of knocking them down further will make it easier for Derby/Middlesbrough/Bristol City. Also if we can knick 4th that would be even better as I am on holiday for the first leg! With the form of Norwich as well I would fancy us to beat them as well. It’s so frustrating as without some injuries to key players (Grealish/Tuanzebe in particular) I think we would have been challenging the autos this year. Never mind, just keep winning the next game, that’s all we need to do!
  9. Mastodon’s cover of Stairway to Heaven. The reason why stood in a queue for 2 hours on Saturday for RSD. The song is cool but love the background to why they did it. Their manager, Nick John, sadly passed away in September 2018, losing his battle with cancer. For his funeral, the band were asked to do the cover as he was a huge Zeppelin fan. It transpired that the song was recorded by the singer of Gojira (another band the guy managed), which is b-side to the track. They decided to record a studio cover and give the proceeds to charity.
  10. I dunno, has he been romantically nourished? In relation to the game, I am not sure what to make of any possible postponement/abandonment. I suspect given that the takeover is going through they will try and fudge it and get the game on. Let's just get the game won and move onto Millwall.

    New Music 2019

Those are absolutely daft prices. £117 for a soundtrack that I can get on CD for a couple quid?! Seriously? Though I can’t really speak, currently standing in a queue in one of the stores in Brum as I want the Mastodon tribute to their manager who passed away last year. Given I can get it on Discogs for £20-25 it doesn’t seem worth it!
  12. Yeah - just read that thread but since I read your comment first you get the like
  13. Didn’t want to infect my phone. Should learn to trust @chrisp65!
  14. @villalad21 - the Kiraly is the perfect example of when it happens. It’s also why the leagues allow emergency goalkeeper loans. Whilst it doesn’t necessarily happen every season it does happen. Also @JamesBCFC has mentioned that Bristol City are on their youth keeper having had both 1st team keepers out. They also bought in another keeper in January and he’s also out injured. Now that is worse luck than us!
  15. Was there too. Felt they were on absolute form last night!
  16. I see they have now started to resort to chemical warfare...
  17. That is not a good situation to be in. Whilst we have had 4 keepers this season it’s been through our own choice. Are the other 3 likely to be back soon?
  18. Why don;t you ask the people who attended this...
  19. I'm in the opposite dilemma. I didn't vote for my MP but throughout this process he has been pushing the Soft Brexit/2nd Referendum, making him far more palatable.
  20. That's what I mean, if you ask people who you vote for, they will tell you the party, not the person. It seems very few actually consider what that person does in parliament/the local area. Its foolish but doesn't stop people doing that.
  21. If those abstentions actually voted we would at least have clear majority one way or the other. Looking at those figures, I think at least one of those options would actually pass. I find it absolutely hysterical though that parliament cannot even agree to give itself more power, despite that's where the ultimate sovereignty lies! Party politics are broken. Given people vote for a party rather than the person, a general election is going to cause havoc. No one is going to know who they are actually voting for. I think we are going into a period of (even more) political turmoil. The only possible upside is that there is talk of significant political reform so we put this 2 party system to bed.
  22. New album from Devin Townsend released on Friday. Not had a chance to listen much to it but a definite grower. Getting better with each listen...
  23. FTFY. That should be a bit quicker to answer @bickster
