  1. Probably would have done. West Brom are in the same position as we are, they just did their business early (*cough* Levy *cough*). Has Nyland definitely got the no 1 shirt? Can't find anything. I suspect Steer to be in goal on Saturday but I don't think it will take Nyland long to displace.
  2. Yep - Hugill signed for a season long loan who seems much more of a Pulis signing. From links yesterday: McGinn - done Grealish - either i) devastated and never signing a new contract with Villa ; ii) Spurs finally come back with an offer that is worthy or consideration; or iii) he stay at his boyhood club that he might play premier league football next season, signs a new contract and might have a team built around him at Bryan - looks dead in the water Success/Abraham/Nmecha - any further developments do we know of? Think we still need LB/CB/Winger/ST. Actually rather pleased about this loan extension, means that we can still do business whilst knowing our 1st team won't get pinched. Could really do with some players going out the door though. Squad is still very large...

    Joe Bryan

C'est la vie. To be fair don't really blame the player if he can get Premier League football and likely 1st team at that. He was moving anyway for a step up, this is a bigger one. We don't know the full ins and outs of it so hard to say how much he turned our back but its not like this is the first time it will happen in football nor the last. Contract not sealed by the sound of it. Frustrating? Of course but we may get someone else in today and if not, we still have another 3 weeks for loans. Definitely a position we could do with improving but we have time.
  4. I looked. He really is a Representative for Wellingborough isn't he?! With all the Jack stuff, I will be glad either way when this is done. I'm sick to death of "twitter understands", "Sky Sports understands", "BBC understands"... Talksport doesn't count because they don't understand the alphabet. Representatives for Wellingborough. If he doesn't go, I expect a bumper contract with a release clause if not promoted this year. I cannot see him staying beyond this season if we don't get promoted.
  5. Bowen definitely looked the best in Hull by a long shot and wouldn’t mind seeing him in a Villa shirt, but don’t want to sell Adomah to rivals, cannot risk strengthening them at all. Don’t forget he was our top scorer last season!
  6. So you in “Coventry” at the moment then?!
  7. Certainly not to Middlesbrough or any other rival - he will end up scoring a lot!
  8. Tottenham and Villa £7m apart in Grealish valuation according to BBC: IF true, I can see Spurs upping the valuation enough to get him. However remains speculation of course and the media don't believe a good player can play football outside the top 6...
  9. Anyone else thinking he should sub Taylor for Green and move Hutton to left back and Elmo to right back? Hull are awful, we should be doing better.

    Carles Gil

When you look at everyone it suggests it was a loan with automatic purchase last season. Marca stating Gil signed until 2021 last year. Page is in Spanish but in essence confirms the top. There is nothing official since this date but he is training with Deportivo and formally in their squad. List of pre season players for Deportivo So probably has left but nothing official. A cheeky tweet/news piece wouldn’t go amiss!
  11. So if Delph is anything to go by there’s imminent move to Stoke then? Seriously though good news and confirmation of where we want to end up this season.
  12. Yep, I believe Academy 2 in Digbeth if my memory serves me well!
  13. Yeah AOJB is definitely their best work and I prefer the Jesse later albums. Never got a chance to see Jesse live first time round though as first proper tour here (I think) Howard was already on board. Howard was fine, but Jesse is definitely the voice of KSE.
  14. That’s cool, Maiden do tend to mix it up quite a lot! Still waiting for a “Seventh Son” tour though and would have thought the 30 year anniversary would have been a good shout... Killswitch Engage I’ve been a fan of since they broke through (2002/3?) but was a little surprised to see them support Maiden, not sure how the fans would take to them as very different style! And yeah, that drive to Newcastle is nuts. I’ve done it before but not for a gig. I also split it stopping overnight but that is bloody crazy!
  15. Welcome - though you deserve a better announcement than a reference to Love Island...
  16. How was it? Got a standing ticket for Tuesday (sorry!) - seen them plenty of times but will always find an excuse for another show ?
  17. I don't know, given he can play anywhere up front I think there would be room. He would act in competition with Adomah/Green and possibly up front as well. I suspect the idea would have been him and Grealish which would have been ideal. I don't like the idea of a "minimum games" clause to be honest, but if he is as good as he is meant to be, surely he would be playing a lot of games anyway?
  18. Can we get an actual signing done please?! I'm getting very bored of this twitter nonsense...
  19. Definitely all over this - would be a very good signing , even without an option to buy. Highly rated in both Liverpool and Wales camps. Would be a good option on both wings.
  20. If he stays injury free, could be a key player for us this season. Just think would be better in a more advance role than “3-5-2” offers!
  21. I think he had no choice in the end. From his perspective, it would seem that, in hindsight, he was banking a lot on being able to be promoted quickly and for the club to fund itself. Sadly, that has not happened. When he has attempted to take money out of China he's had a big fat no and he has had to be desperate. That's why Nassef and Wes have managed to get 55% at 30 million. Absolute steal, given that you can't get a player for that price these days. From Tony's perspective and his investors, they still hold a 45% share as it stands. I suspect that they will hold onto that whilst Nassef and Wes sort out the club properly. He will then likely sell the remainder at some point in the future and get the money back he paid for it. That way he has managed to save his own face.

    Thierry Henry

What about Henry head coach and Terry as player/coach? One question that has been raised about Henry is whether he has the capacity to organise/coach a defence, something that Terry would do! Terry certainly knows the club/team as well so has that benefit. Think an experienced assistant would go down well but not quite sure who would fit the bill/willing to be assistant...
  23. I am sure Talksport will be more than happy to hear your views on the matter at a mere £5 per minute or whatever their call rates are... Controversy for the sake of money. Ignore the idiots - best remedy!
