  1. I'm pretty sure he's missed bits as well. Has there actually been a worse prime minister?
  2. #Heardle #55 ️️️️ https://heardle.app Down with the kids too..... To be honest tried the last 2 and both have been pretty modern pop/trash so not impressed. I can imagine it being good though. Just hitting it at a bad spot. Is there a way to try the older ones?
  3. Was there too (and probably in that picture as well). Great band and absolutely fun live. One big party probably the right phrase. Did he tickle your taint?
  4. Shockingly doesn’t actually exist (well not according to metal archives)!
  5. Got F**cked Up booked for next Wednesday at the Castle and Falcon in Brum. Never been before and never seen the band before so excited on both accounts. All for less than £20, much better than Roxy Music or whatever!
  6. Suggestions of medics being called to hotel for someone with chest pains. I think with the drugs I thought he had been clean for nearly 20 years or so. Really hope it’s not drugs related
  7. Have to say this has made me quite sad. Not the biggest FF fan but definitely enjoyed them and were generally good to watch. Hawkins though was definitely “the 2nd member” and it’s clear the Grohl thought a lot of him. This is going to be hard for him. A real shame, RIP
  8. Add “Ritual” to the list along with say “Square Hammer”. They do some covers as well which always sound decent enough (“Missionary Man”; “It’s a Sin”). With the new album, the singles pre release were hit and miss (didn’t like Call me Little Sunshine) but I quite liked Twenties, just don’t think about it too much but found it very catchy. First listen of the whole album and thought it was completely duff but then for the rest of the weekend I kept getting ear worms of the songs and actually now I really love it. Even call me little sunshine I really like. One review I watch explained how it works better as an album rather than songs and I think that is right and I really like it. Has it gone quite “poppy”? Definitely. Is it there best album? Probably not, but they all have their own quirks that’s for sure. People will definitely have their own favourites for various reasons. Still looking forward to seeing them next month though
  9. That’s stupid sharing a Facebook account. To be honest it screams of a deeper problem of trust in that you be of them can’t be trusted who there “mates” are. If you mix that in with the sycophantic posts to give the impression of a wonderful couple and how perfect they are, clearly seems that they probably have an exceptionally bad relationship with some cheating/sleeping around for good measure. Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest. Sorry if you actually like your sister/brother-in-law!
  10. Saw Wardruna at Symphony Hall on Monday. Great sound to the venue, but still weird to sit down to a “metal” show (although not really metal, traditional Viking music). Meant to have seen Me and That Man next Friday but that seems to have been cancelled as the guitarist is fighting in Ukraine! Then meant to be seeing Primordial in April originally in Birmingham, however has apparently moved to Southend via Dover. Not a single message about it from the ticket office. Not exactly around the corner anymore! Ah well found out F***ed Up are coming to UK next month so got a ticket to the Brum gig so very happy with that!
  11. After having -3 on Friday night (captain Jimenez of course), ended up with a respectable 65. Only Villa & Wolves players let me down. Not a bad use of the Free Hit given I wasn’t going to be able to get 11 players without transfers.
  12. First KGLW release this year. 18 minute mammoth track. F***ing cool
  13. Thanks. I might take you up on that. I think I still quite like the idea on a stand alone system though - have you had any experience with the Brennan 2 (or similar system)?
  14. The storage isn’t so much a problem, I’ve got an external CD drive which works no problem. It’s more that it keeps crashing on me and it has lost the artwork to fair amount of the music. It also fails to import to iPhone quite often. My issue is more with the software rather than the hardware but I can see Apple Music becoming increasingly more about streaming than downloads and or physical media and I think I’m just done with it more than anything. The idea of having a separate piece of hardware not reliant on the software is quite appealing to be honest.
  15. So I’m finally getting sick of Apple Music for my Mac. It is clear that the software isn’t ever going to be designed/changed for physical media. As such I’ve been looking at other software/hardware and cone across the Brennan 2 CD storage hi fi system which seems to tick a lot of boxes. The cost is steep though but if it does what I want (store electronic versions of CDs with easy access to phone and/or other devices) then don’t mind paying. Does anyone have one and if so are they worth the price?
  16. Also got this the other day but only got a chance to listen. Actually very good, in the vein of Mastodon/Conjurer etc. Church Road well and truly taken that Holy Roar mantle that is for sure.
  17. That's pretty cool. I got the Wild Hunt on recommendation and didn't really stick but I think I'll get this one (and the last one as its pretty cheap!).
  18. I’ve had a knock on the door from Labour and the Christian Peoples Alliance(?) who are anti abortion, anti vax and feel Christians were not represented fairly. Fun telling them that in no way I would ever be voting for them A lot of flyering but mainly Labour. I did spot the “peaker blinder” candidate on the high street last weekend when I was put my postal vote on. Managed to dodge and dice any conversation though. I always thought his pub in town was a bluenose pub anyway.
  19. It’s a major labour safe seat so result is completely expected. To be honest Labour have completely carpet bombed with leaflets/adverts in the area and I’m sick of it. To be honest it might be that was part of the reason for the low turn out. And as for Tories getting votes in Erdington, it’s the same problem throughout the country. Tories are the party of the “middle class” and if you want to improve your station in life, you vote Tory. I know it is completely untrue but it’s part of the reason why they have always been a major political party. Until that stereotype is broken, they will always be there or there about.
  20. Don’t be silly, she just needed to go get some more milk for the tea run.
  21. It is only 1.5 miles from Villa Park That being said, given it is only on 1 side of the road with no easy access from the other way, it can be a bit of a pain to get into.
  22. This. In Birmingham (next to star city) they are always at least a penny cheaper than the rest of the city.
