    Are you sure about that? All major tournaments are in the summer months. And for a "winter sport" an awful lot of games get called off when the winter months arrive!

    It's always annoyed me how the season covers 2 years, think its a perfect opportunity to run it all in one calendar year from March - December like it should have been from the start. No winter break, but maybe a summer break of 3 weeks so people with season tickets etc can still have a holiday. I would have the next season to start in March 2021, in the meantime finish this season off from September - November.

    Think you're getting 2007 confused with 1992. I don't know a single person who wasn't connected in 2007, it wasn't an outdated process at all. The only issue I had with it was the options sucked, you are right there.

    Should have just said you were young and didn't have access to it then, rather than claiming internet access was rare in 2007

    There were definitely phones with internet on them in 2007. I remember I started this same job in 2006 and used to use MSN on my Nokia 6630 with a 3G connection. Also remember using Facebook and MySpace on it. I used to sit in the canteen on my lunch breaks browsing the internet on it whilst listening to fm radio - nowadays phones don't even have radio on them. Guess it depends on how much into tech each person was back then, but it was definitely available for those that wanted it or learned how to use their phone for features other than calling and texting.

    You're the one being silly. It was a 2 legged semi final with both sides at full strength, playing your reserves in early rounds is nothing like playing at full strength in a SF or final. You ever considered applying for a job at Talksport?

    Exactly, our players don't realise when we have a corner its actually more likely that we will concede on the counter than score from it. Its happened a number of times this season.

    Are you sure about that? I don't watch TV other than sports, but it feels like every ad is gambling, they even have that separate ad break break after the main ads (just before kick off) with Ray Winston

    Intuit Quickbooks thats the one I was thinking of! Thats the last kit I bought, must have been a good 8 years ago now? I love how the clubs try to take the higher moral ground by not allowing the youth teams to print the sponsors, or sell kids shirts with the sponsors but are happy to take their money If its a legal thing, then they should ban kids from watching teams and buying tickets into the ground.. because the only time they will see it on their own shirts if when they look in the mirror. They'll see it more on the players shirts than their own.

    I'm the same, I used to be able to name every teams sponsor without even thinking about it. Apart from Villa I couldn't tell you who sponsored who now. I think back then it was because Sponsors stuck around and associated themselves with clubs. Now, like you say, its just a merry go round.

    Another year I won't be buying the kit then! Honestly can't remember the last kit I bought, maybe the DWS one. Its been that long we've been walking advertisers for gambling.

    It's one thing producing them, but another thing holding on to them. I remember all those players West Ham produced at the start of the century, Lampard, Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Glen Johnson etc They all ended up being great players elsewhere whilst West Ham were yoyo-ing the divisions

    Whoever was the VAR in the game last night was clearly a Man Utd fan. Maguire should have been straight red and there was absolutely nothing wrong with Chelseas goal! If anything Azpilicueta was pushed by Fred.

    I was in the the "he doesnt do much apart from score goals and get assists" camp But seeing the water carrier in the team ahead of him I'd like to have him back in the starting xi pronto, because we are seeing the same player but without the goals and assists.

    I really don't get how he gets picked ahead of Nakamba and Hourihane. I was confused with the selection and 5 minutes into the game he'd given the ball away twice. Just don't get it

    Can we take El Ghazi off free kicks please. He always shoots no matter how far out and never hits the target or gets close.

    Not trying to make an excuse for Engels.. But if Borja hadn't tried to win the ball off Luiz then his flick on would have gone exactly where Borja would have been standing if he'd stayed there.
