  1. If we are smart we could use him in a part exchange deal for one of our championship targets, maybe back to Brentford
  2. I've been wanting to say this but feared I hadn't seen him enough to make a judgment like that, but I watched Brentfords last 3 or 4 games that have been televised and he's missed some absolute sitters. Didn't really look like a premier league player to me. In those games the commentators did say it's unlike him and he's bagged so many goals that I just thought I may have caught some of his bad games. He did take his goal well the other night, but part of me thinks Scott Hogan mkII. On a side note Benrahma didnt look that good in those games either until the semi 2nd leg, but at least I've seen some snippets of some ridiculous skills by him throughout the season.
  3. This thing about going for Premier League experienced players just for the sake of it seems a little strange to me Our squad going into last season, we had some some prem experience in Heaton, Taylor, Elmo, Lansbury and Drinkwater - none of which were good enough to feature properly bar Heaton Just getting it for the sake of it so we can say we bought Prem experience is what backfired when we went down a few years ago. It needs to be proper proven players like Cahill would have been last summer, not these journeymen type looking for a last pay day that were never particularly good in the first place
  4. Looks absolutely fine, don't know what some people are moaning about it's exactly what a Villa home kit should look like. When its actually in our hands and people moan about material and sizing thats a different matter
  5. Mings would have had a new deal thrashed out, when on loan we would have been paying his Bournemouth wages. Wesley will be on a lot more than some of our Championship strikers would have been on like Kodjia or Hogan for example. We also gave Grealish a new contract I think, and most of the players would have had automatic clauses triggering pay-rises with promotion
  6. Because every club makes ridiculous transfers every now and again, think more eyebrows were raised on that one than any other big signing in recent times. It was also at a time when a new rule was introduced when English teams had to have a certain amount of home grown players in their squads, this practically doubles any young decent English players transfer fee. I don't think they paid extra because someone at Man City thought he was good looking either
  7. No, we only broke our transfer record twice!
  8. So on a serious note, is the delay due to not having sleeve sponsors yet?
  9. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, wish our womens team was called something else
  10. Just saw something regarding us signing a Danish international scrolling across the sky sports news breaking news ticker, but didnt catch it all.. Was waiting for it to come around again but theyve gone to an ad break!
  11. Who is Ty Bracey and why can he confirm its not real? Does he work for the club or something? Or is it because he has a blue tick so must be telling the truth?

Something we could perhaps benefit from right away could be some of the players hes had a hand in Copenhagen purchasing in the past but to then have outgrown the club and moved on for a profit
  13. Think we need to improve in both areas. If we just bought the wingers then sorry but we won't score many goals still. Striker options of Wesley, Davis and Samatta juts isnt going to cut it. Samatta and Davis had plenty of chances between them in these last 10 games after lockdown and neither looked to have the ability. Wesley I think is the best out of the 3 but we don't know how bad this injury is yet and he may come back needing a lot of time to get ready again, might even breakdown again like what happened with Kodjia then never get back to that level again. We need to buy 2 proper strikers and then have Wesley as the 3rd choice, I'm happy for the other 2 to leave to be honest, whether on loan or permanent don't really care but neither will be good enough for next season.
  14. If they bid anything less than 60m as an introductory offer we should just ignore it, doesn't deserve a response We aren't in any position to sell, its up to them to convince us to let go of our star asset, not for us to be begging them to take him off our hands.
  15. What a bizarre rule! so it's OK to overlook someone who was born on the 31st December over someone who was born January 1st? Have to draw the line somewhere I realise, but would have made more sense for the dates to coincide with the season rather than a calendar date that has nothing to do with the season starting 8-9 months later.
  16. Daaamn easy to forget how young Luiz is (just turned 22 in May), hes going to be very good next season, guess along with Davis he no longer qualifies as an under 21 going into next seasons squad. Ok, so 22 players, lose the 3 loanees takes to 19, then add Luiz, Davis, Wesley and Heaton brings us to 23. That gives us space for 2 signings before we have to start selling.
  17. Ok, so either one of Jota or Douglas Luiz is missing depending on whoever is Peleteiro Ramallo, Jose Ignacio Still thats 23 and Davis no longer qualifies as an under 21 I definitely read an article end of January stating we deregistered the 2 injured players to add he new signings. Maybe theres another couple names missing seeing as I already found one?
  18. Chester was not registered, but Heaton and Wesley need to be added back. So even your above suggestion only gives us 1 place
  19. You do realise there is a 25 man squad limit in the Prem? We had to unregister both Heaton and Wesley just to make a couple of additions in January For every player that comes in, someone has to go

    Keinan Davis

Well he can't, so he wont Like to see him sold this window, had we gone down then maybe might have been worth having him around. In the prem he is no longer an under 21 player so will be taking up a valuable spot in the 25 man squad.
  21. Easy to forget when we get excited at the start of a new transfer window, but there is a 25 man squad limit in the premier league. Don't forget we had to deregister Heaton and Wesley to make way for Drinkwater and Reina, that's how full our squad is. For every signing that comes in, someone will HAVE to go. So on that basis I don't think we will be doing as much business as some are predicting on here. Maybe 4 or 5. 2 new starting wide players, a striker, a centre back and maybe one other. Each of these needs to be of absolute quality and walk straight into our team Think Jota, Lansbury, Nyland and Davis will all be leaving to make way, dont think Davis qualifies as an under 21 player anymore and for me he's not good enough
  22. When does the transfer window officially open?
