Now that we are staying in the prem, yes I think it would be a smart move to bring him home. I would bring in 2 new wingers and a striker as priority starters, rest of the team is ok but could do with some competition and a better squad over all (My first post in this thread, didn't see the point of this until we knew which division we were in)

I've seen this said a few times by various people including in the media - that it was a "technology failure" therefore has different circumstances Far as I know cameras and sensors do not place themselves, they need to be placed by humans. Therefore this is also a human error in the same way that any of our dodgy decisions were human errors. Thats before I even go into the fact that VAR still had the power to overturn but chose not to, therefor just like any other VAR decision the moment has gone and nothing can be done about it now.

Why is Bruce v Smith even a thing?? People do realise they both took over the club at roughly the same stage in the season in pretty much identical scenarios Smith took over in October and got us promoted in his first (half) season. In comparison Bruce also took over in October and finished 13th or something. In his 2nd season Bruce failed again, and was sacked in his third season. Smith got promoted first time of asking without even having the magical preseason Bruce kept going an about preseason which would be the key In his 2nd season its looking like another success.. result dependent tomorrow Why is this even a thing?

Our out ball for most of the season has been Mings launching it to the striker, something Baker got ridiculed for constantly but because Mings has some legendary cult status he seems to be allowed to do this without anyone questioning it

They had nothing to play for tonight either, but still put in a good pefromance. Watford and us needed to overtake them for them to go down, and for Watford to go above them needed a 15 goal swing to happen. They were already safe, why are Villa fans trying to convince themselves that tonights game meant any more for West Ham than Sunday will?

Yeh but if Man U lose this, then they go into the last game needing a win, whereas a draw for Leicester would be enough should Man U lose - surely that was incentive enough to try to give it your best shot tonight

Not 100% staying up if we win, if Watford can win and gain +2 on us they overtake us. We are only 1 goal ahead, eg we win 1-0 but they win 3-0 they go above us. Unlikely I know but it means a win is not 100% staying up, more like 93.67%

It really annoys me how every year Chelsea somehow manage to not only get their kit out early, but end the current season in next years kit. Whereas we usually cant even buy it until October

Last summer in the "summer transfer window" thread, I was banging on on a daily basis that we should sign Cahill on a free tansfer - right until the day he joined Palace and we couldnt sign him anymore. I even said he would have been a better signing than Mings but ideally for them to play together but got laughed at by everyone on here for even suggesting he was better than Mings. Think I got that Humphrey Bogart "get out" gif by 3 different people It was so so obvious to me that I was extremely baffled that no one else could see it. I really don't care if people are going to say I'm point scoring, it was just a stupid decision not to even try to get him. I honestly don't think we would have got relegated with a proper leader like him at the back, could have helped Mings develop into an even better player but 6 months in the Championship and everyone thought Mings was the finished article.
