Working in quality. Probably more than I can count letting shite through that probably shouldn't have. Worst one I can remember though is when I was working the holiday shift and let some parts for Jaguar go that had a slight blemish on the bar. That cost nearly a grand to remake them all.

I think Birmingham won A European Cup (as in not THE European Cup) back in the 60s or something, and he was thinking of that. Actually, jst googled it. They were twice runner up in the Inter Cities Fairs Cup. So he was right that they were runners up, but hugely wrong concerning the competition! It wasn't Birmingham City though but the city of Birmingham. The Fairs cup was an invitational tournament for any city that had a trade fair. London competed one year IIRC. This, but didn't we choose not to allow our players to compete in it.

Damned if I know, I still scratch my head when I think of people voting for him as player of the season. Spitballing but perhaps it was due to him being the anti-McLeish player? During a season of stflingly defensive football with a manager unanimously despised, I think some fans appreciated a 'technically sound' player. Given, or even Chris Herd, should have won. Ireland is a waste of wages, space and oxygen. I'd agree with this. Despite still being shit in the later half of that year he was the only on trying to play football.

I wouldn't be against keeping him here despite his wages if Lambert could find a place in the team for him. That doesn't seem likely though.

My childs school just sends texts to all the parents. While more expensive surely more effective at reaching more parents. When I got burgle about 5 years ago something similar happened but then just got a slap on the wrist.
