  1. In case anyone missed it, look at this. It's his game record. Gives you an idea what he played like in each of his games last season. Luna played 9 games in left defence for Mallorca. If we take his record over those 9 games, it's not that bad: W2 D2 L5. Mallorca weren't thrashed by more than 3 goals at a time when Luna played, He had a couple of extremely good games toward the end of the season. 88% and 100% passing accuracy is great. He was also getting some key passes. This is a low risk, high potential reward signing for Villa. Perhaps we should thank Hutton for the scouting tip!? Oh no, stat alert. Any heat maps though?
  2. He may want to keep his options open, but i can not see anyone meeting our valuation on him yet. If he performs to the same standard next season then i could see clubs coming in with the big money in Janurary, but not before.
  3. Baker was 22 in April according to AVFC website.
  4. Guzan Given Lowton Vlaar Clark Baker Bennett Stevens Delph Westwood Holman KEA Bannan Sylla Albrighton Tonev Ireland N'Zogbia Bent Benteke Gabby Weimann Delfounseo Bowery Hutton They are all our players over 21 I believe, not much room to move.
  5. We are only allowed to register 25 players over the age of 21 to play in the Premier League so we need to move on quite a few before anymore business.
  6. 35/40k He could turn into the next Drpgba,Van Persie or even a James Beattie or Andy Johnson. Another good season then throw the mega money at him.
  7. I don't know the exact details of his investment here, but I know that is wrong.
  8. As long as the home kit does not clash with the oppositions kit we wear that.
  9. Yes, its not so much an away as an alternative shirt.
  10. Madness. I leave work and all is quiet, a short cycle home and the VP Photographer is earning overtime.
  11. Welcome to the club! Hope his stay here is long and successful.
  12. A fair point. My main issue with that approach is who and where are these battle hardened defenders? Who is going to pay for them and do they bring the guarantees you're looking for? I'd love us to go find the next Mellberg, but how realistic is that? I'd like to think its possible, but with how global the game has become it's a much harder prospect. Even the great bearded one cost us some £6m over 10 years ago. We're not in that market anymore and we're way too soon into the plan to break from the philosophy already. Yes it has it's negatives but hey, at least we have direction. Finances and wages are the problem to that approach as you say, but with Bent, Dunne, Ireland and Given hopefully off this summer you'd think we could duo into that. It doesn't have to be sombody world class, just somebody who could help talk them through a game. And again it is finding sombody to fit that mould which is not an easy task admittedly.

  14. You are right, but it has happened in the PL before strikers looking class then dipping. Centre halves tend to need that experience to improve and while they gained some last year, id feel much more confident about the season ahead if we were looking to bring in one battle hardened defender who doesn't need to adapt.
  15. Gabby isn't prolific and despite Weimann and Benteke having fabulous season just it is not guaranteed that they will have the same impact.
  16. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/pre-order-xbox-one/disclaimer They are probably the countries with the most disposable income but to leave out India and China is madness.
  17. I don't doubt they they all have potential to improve, but if our strikers struggle for goals next year we aren't going to grind out many results.
  18. Integral part of the team, but he still has the odd bad game. Hopefully Tonev will be able to fit in when he struggles.
  19. Vlaar, Baker, Clark and Okore are it appears our 4 centre halves for next year. Do they have enough experience between them to cope with the pressures of the PL. Last season 3 of them struggled and adding this one lad doesn't help much.
  20. Everything sounds good about this lad. With him in Fonz is surely leaving.
  21. Who cares if it a Gambling company who offered us the most money. Imagine the uproar on here if we lost Benteke and Weimann because we couldn't offer them better deals to stay. Solely because we turned down a better sponsorship deal just because they are in the legitimate business of gambling. Their is a lot of snobbery on here? If we want to compete we can not cut off superior financial deals because it does not suit certain fans expectations.
  22. If it wasn't for the collar on the home top I would absolutely love it, but the collar area is just too busy. I like the away a lot more than I thought I would and the yellow GK kit is quite nice too. Thumbs up!
