  1. I don't understand why people here only argue about the two extremes? When someone calls for experience, people jump to the conclusion that they mean an aging 33 year old who is past his best or look at kids from the Championship learning their trade. Surely there are players around the 25/26 age who can be bought in for a "reasonable fee" and on "responsible wages." I would like to think there are players like that, who have a fair few years of experience playing in the first division of some top leagues in Europe. I think calling for experience doesn't necessarily mean looking at players a couple of years from retirement. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Chester is not good, but is he what we need right now? Strong bodies who can last 90 mins?
  2. He's been on loan since mid September. 3 month loan.
  3. From that article, I guess his nickname in Belgium is the Red Devil

Would've gotten a bit awkward considering he sponsors their rivals
  5. Not a bicycle kick but probably one of the cleanest strikes I've seen. Just went like a rocket.

That Lord of the Rings one is brilliant! That others are pretty good too.
  7. Yeah, nah that Zlatan fellow is alright I guess.
  8. Lack of tact there no doubt but it doesn't concern me too much. He's only 16. To hope that he fails miserably or that we should tear up his contract (read comments on the Sky Sports article) for saying what he did is ridiculous. I wish him the best of luck and if he proves to be as good as he believes, then that can only be a great thing for us.

Suarez doing his part to knock racism out of football. Must say I stole that from Premier League Talk
  10. Bit early to say that but there is hope and great potential!
  11. The Midlander: Was O'Neill a good Villa boss? Let's end this debate once and for all... by Neil Moxley of the Daily Mail
  12. While I'm a fan of the Lord of the Rings books and have read most of the expanded universe stuff (Hobbit, Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, etc) I was also a big fan of Jackson's adaptations. And that's what it was - an adaptation. He decided to keep certain stuff, cut certain stuff and embellish on certain stuff to deliver what he believed to be a faithful telling of the story that kept with the spirit of the books. In my mind, he did that extremely well. Some sequences might have been a bit over the top but for the most part I believe that the movies were a great adaptation of the novels.
  13. It's not that I'm purposely avoiding the main quest, it's just that I keep thinking 'I'll just clear out these side quests and then finish the main story' but they never seem to end But I take your point. I think I'll have to wrap this baby up sooner rather than later.
  14. I'm still playing it on PC. Haven't even finished the main quest storyline either Get sidetracked by other quests too much. Don't know if I'll get the DLC though, got too many other games to play on the back burner.
  15. I got AC3 at the same time I bought NFS: Most Wanted. Haven't played AC3 yet though and Chindie's review hasn't filled me with confidence It's a shame because I'm one of those massive fans of the series Ginko mentioned - I platinumed AC2 . I've invested a great deal of time in the franchise and have enjoyed my outings in that universe a lot. I don't know why, but I tend to let some stuff slide and defend aspects of the gameplay and story in my own head. Maybe everyone has that game or story that they probably know isn't that amazing but they defend to their dying breath.
  16. Playing NFS: Most Wanted. So fun. I don't usually play racing games but a couple of my mates got it and were nagging me to get it. The game looks decent visually and the gameplay itself is just fun. Also like the aspect of competing against your friends through time trials and stuff even if they're not online at the same time.
  17. We seem to be linked with a lot of strikers. Don't we really need a midfielder instead?
  18. Keep in mind he's playing out of position on the left and is naturally a right back. I'm a fan of his because he gives us some drive forward (even when on the left) but his ball retention unfortunately isn't great. He's lost it a few times venturing forward. I think for the moment he's the best we got, although I'd like a new LB in Jan please.

Isn't he straight? I wonder what his wife would say about that.
  20. Part 5 is out, and wraps up the series really well. Kudos to the team behind this, really did a great job. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gULQ5GFIkcA
