  1. Makes me proud to say that the best keeper in the world right now plays for us.

    Time Wasting

We wouldn't like it if other teams did it to us but we should embrace every tactic we can to see a game out because Brighton would have beaten us today if we hadn't done what we did and if Gerrard or Smith were in charge. It's all about marginal gains!

    Unai Emery

The only other manager we've appointed in our history that comes close to Emery's achievements is Houllier but he was way way past his best by the time he joined us. Emery is still only 50!
  4. Never thought I'd see this much love for a Bluenose! If this is the only game he ever takes charge of then he should be very proud of himself.
  5. Awful game, crap way to win and this probably means he has some credit in the bank to lose 5 on the trot and not get sacked. I sincerely hope not though, I can't stand seeing us serve up this crap every week.
  6. Still out for me, but the next two games will be a test of his skills and if he wins both then maybe, just maybe, he might turn it around. I'm not fooled by one decent performance against a team that failed to put away their chances.
  7. For the first time in ages, I honestly couldn't give a crap about a Villa signing.
  8. Can we send them McGinn instead?
  9. I agree. I just think the change just needs to be made with no further delays because our season is already in tatters. I'd rather see someone bring in some fresh ideas over seeing Slippy G stand clueless on the touchline. We have a good squad, the players are just not being utilised correctly.
  10. Great timing. I hate this club sometimes.
  11. We have to make a change NOW, else risk doing unrepairable damage if we lose our next three games. I seriously fear for the team against City, who are very capable of putting 6/7 past us. If we don't act quickly then we can kiss goodbye to the Premier League.
  12. A player that took a lot of flak from fans over the years and has been treated like crap by the current regime. Let's not forget how he put the club over his religious beliefs to help us back into the Premier League, which means a lot to me personally. Yes, he's had his downs but the good moments outweigh the bad ones in my opinion. He's a hero to me, I'll miss him massively.
  13. No smoke without fire. I think that the comments from Craig Butler are well timed. We can't let our best players go but if the manager can't utilise them in the right way then what choice do we have? If we lose Bailey then Gerrard needs to follow because this is absolutely unacceptable.
  14. What's Gerrard's record now compared to Deano's? We can safely assume that we will get nothing from the next two games. If the board were happy to sack Smith after having lost a few games in a row then they should act with the same ruthlessness because there is no way we will be top 8 this season with Gerrard in charge.
  15. Drop McGinn, Konsa, Coutinho and Watkins or Ings and start Chambers, Luiz, Buendia and Archer against West Ham. Really liked the look of Archer tonight, he's very confident on the ball and glides past players with ease. Was unlucky not to get a goal tonight.
  16. The board need to stop backing him and just get on with sacking him!
  17. I voted him out before and today's result only confirms that.
  18. McGinn was brilliant in the Championship. He's shown occasional flashes of brilliance since our promotion but he is clearly not equipped to start games for a team aiming for the top half of the Premier League. He would be the first player to go for me. The last of the old guard.

    Ezri Konsa

Regressed massively in the last 12-18 months. Needs to be loaned out or sold because he's not good enough for our squad any more.
  20. Brilliant tackle and block to keep us in the game today. Showed today why he should really be starting.
  21. Let's see if the board allow the manager to make further signings. If there are no further signings and Gerrard says he wants more players through the door before the window closes then he could be on borrowed time.
  22. He was meant to be the better Ramsey brother before Jacob's development accelerated. Still, I'm really looking forward to keeping an eye on Aaron's development too.
  23. Would be an excellent move for him and at his age a superb level to test him at. If he cuts it in the Championship and he helps them with promotion then there's no reason he can be part of the first team squad with us next season.
  24. Let's hope he doesn't have ideas above his station like his brother.
