    Bailey has been poor but this season he’s really looking like fulfilling his potential and he’s shut me up. Buendia has done nothing.

    Nowhere near being one of our best players. Luiz, Kamara, Bailey, Ramsey, Mings, Cash, Martinez, Digne and Coutinho are all better. I think we’ll be looking to bring in a striker and a wide player in January with Buendia and Watkins place up for grabs.

    Buendia is slower and loses the ball way more often than Coutinho. Phil is the better player.

    I’ve just been in hospital for 4 days with the flu and a chest infection. The wards were all rammed with people who had the flu. Seems to be hitting hard this year. A and E couldn’t cope. Person in the bed next to me was in an ambulance for 12 hours waiting for a bed.

    Just ordered a Tesla Model Y long range. Looking forward to the 0-60 in 4 seconds or whatever it is but feel dirty giving money to that c*** Musk. It was actually quite affordable compared to the Audis, BMW’s etc.

    He may or may not leave but people calling him a flop. LOL. He was brilliant at times last season and most people on here were desperate to sign him in the Summer. Now, after a few poor performances under a manager where everybody was performing poorly, he’s this massive flop. Laughable. He’s better than Buendia. Whether or not he has the drive now Gerrard has left, is another matter. He gets a rough ride but you compare him to Bailey (£30m) and Buendia (£38m), he really isn’t a flop. Bailey was woeful for his first 12 months (albeit showing signs of improvement) and Buendia continues to put in average performances. Some of the comments on here are daft. I hope he comes back and shuts you all up.

    This is very true. Villa have had a terrible record with keepers over the years. FWIW, I think he’s been fairly average this season, albeit I still think he’s a very good keeper. Ideally, I’d like him to stick around on the basis that he raises our profile and we don’t have to gamble on finding a replacement. I think we’d get that part wrong. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next 8 months with Emi and if he’s happy to stick with us on our journey. There will definitely be interest but it might also be that his family is settled and he appreciates what the club has done for him (a rarity in football these days).

    If we’re offered crazy money for him and the club have done their due diligence on a replacement, then why not? It’s money we can reinvest into other areas of the team to improve. Id rather not sell him and hope he stays, but everybody has their price and his stock will never be higher.
