  1. Solid enough link for it's own thread? Seems to be a lot of chatter about this one...
  2. Tammy really divides opinion on here. So much so, even I don't know if he'd be a good signing for us. He's obviously a goalscorer, but his interplay and all round footballing ability used to bug me. Is that fair?
  3. Lewandowski, Modric, De Bruyne or Salah. Mbappe and Haaland need a bit more longevity before they can be considered. None of these players even come close to Messi though.
  4. Man, I’d love someone on the level of Benteke in our side.
  5. It really isn't and there is very little chance we're signing one, let alone two. Only two players scored 20+ goals last season - Salah and Son. I bet some of these were penalties too. What we need is a striker that will get us 12-15 goals but is better on the ball and in the build up phase than Watkins. You then support that striker with goals from wide forwards and attacking midfielders. If Ramsey and Bailey can get around 8-10 goals a season each, there is no need to rely solely on a '20+ league goals every season' kinda guy. The game has changed. Goals are more evenly distributed between forward players. We need a front 3/4 who can all score goals.
  6. I really hope he comes back here one day. Maybe not as first team manager (as that will probably mean we've failed), but in some capacity behind the scenes. My love for the man will forever be unwavering.
  7. I actually think we're trying to go one better than Brighton and sign players in the 15-18 age category and hope that 2/3 make it to the first team in the next 4/5 years.
  8. I’m sure he’s a good player but I think we’ll be looking at players with pace and power in the forward positions. Players like Chukwueze, Jackson, Sarr etc. I definitely think we lack a little pace and physicality in our side. In terms of the midfield, I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go for Merino and Lo Celso. Cant see us signing more than two in January, if anybody at all. Getting rid of players surplus to requirements should still be the number 1 objective.
  9. Just pay the fee and get that username changed to villamalvern, mate. I’m one to talk, mind…
  10. It’s so odd that all of these names pop up on here months in advance of transfer windows and then they’re linked with Brighton. Surely following their model can’t be that hard. I’m astounded they manage to sign these players when like you say, they’re such obvious targets for so many clubs. Surely he’s worth a punt at €10m or whatever? Even if we loaned him back for a season or whatever.
  11. Just confirms that they saw him as the brains behind the operation the whole time. He’s done a right number on QPR. There are a lot of nuances, I’m sure, but sure as hell looks to the outside like he’s jumped ship as soon as the going got tough. Rangers fans don’t know how lucky they are. Fullbacks playing as strikers. Midfielders playing as fullbacks. I’ve seen that somewhere before…
  12. Agreed. Mings has another 2/3 years at peak level. In fact, he's probably in his peak right now. When he starts declining is anybody's guess, but the bloke is going to play until at least 35. Athletically, he is a monster.
  13. At this point, I'm genuinely astounded Football Inside hasn't been sued for defamation or slander or something.
  14. Not massively tbh, but I think it has enough to be decent and it’s an affordable place to live. It has a few decent pubs and bars and some of the high street chains are still present. Id much rather live in Worcester than say, Droitwich or Kidderminster or Redditch. I still think Bromsgrove has a fair bit going for it too. A lot of places are in decline though. I live down in Broadway as I prefer the quiet life but always love going for a beer and an afternoon out in Worcester.
  15. I can’t speak for Stourbridge or other West Midlands towns but I feel Worcester still has a fair bit going for it. I’d rather live in Worcester than London!
  16. What makes you say that about Worcester and why would you stay in London?
  17. They played some of the best football I’ve seen in this tournament against Belgium. But they’re naive at the back. Even the goal against Belgium was criminal as it was just a punt up field that caught them.
  18. He’s our best defender. I want to believe Carlos is better, but until I see it, Mings is one of the first names on the teamsheet.
  19. So… ——————Watkins———————— Bailey—————————Chukwueze ——————Ramsey———————— ———Kamara——Merino—————— In Jan yeh?
