  1. Christ, it must be an easy gig managing the national team. I mean, really, really easy. Southgate has failed at 3 tournaments, had us relegated from our nations league and generally been all over the place with team selection and tactics often playing 3 right backs in the same team. But it’s ok, he’s brought squad harmony and we’ve got a good young team. Yes, I’m sure Foden, Saka and Bellinghams rise through the ranks has all been down to him and none of these players would be where they are now if say, Southgate wasn’t the England manager, right? Southgate is an awful manager as his domestic record suggests. He only got the job because of a few decent friendly results when Allardyce got sacked or whatever it was. He must be the luckiest bloke alive. If the majority of people want him to stay on after zero success, this must be the best and easiest job in the world.
  2. Felix on loan and Thuram on a permanent this January then...
  3. He put in arguably the worst individual performance I've seen from a player this season at VP. Granted, he was playing in a back 3, but he was awful.
  4. Pickford is a good keeper but I can't stand the bloke. The way he shouts at everything and everyone after making a save (his job), is tiresome. Does it because he thinks it's cool or he does it to over compensate for his little arms.
  5. I wonder if we're one of the clubs interested in Cunha. I know there was a bit of noise a couple of weeks ago about our interest.
  6. Very well put. It's at times like these where it's best not to delve into the comments section on any twitter post related to the incident. The amount of people out there commenting on the parenting and even going as far as saying things tantamount to 'Well, they deserved it for playing on a frozen lake', is absolutely sickening. Nobody knows the circumstances here other than children were on/near a lake and tragically lost their life in what, as BOF puts it, is a shitty end to an innocent but highly dangerous act. I'm praying the 6yr old pulls through. I assume he's a sibling of one of the other children. I hope to God a family doesn't lose two of it's children.
  7. Such grim news. Genuinely heartbreaking. Completely ruined my day. I really hope the 6yr old pull through, but I'm expecting the worst.
  8. Interesting article on the BBC this morning about how Russian Soldiers are imprisoned or locked away if they refuse to fight. This just feels like a war that will only end when one side runs out of men prepared to actually fight. It's the most pointless exercise and throughout all of it, I feel people forget just how valuable a single persons life is. It's all so needless and sad. The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic.
  9. Maybe yeh. Who knows. Personally, I'd like to see Coutinho given the role behind Watkins when he's back fit, with Bailey and Ramsey out wide. Buendia can come on if he's knackered after 60 mins.
  10. Nobody was ever going to start a game ahead of McGinn and Ramsey in a Gerrard midfield. If they were breathing, they were starting.
  11. Behind Watkins with Bailey moving back to the right of a 4 in midfield and Ramsey pushing over to the left.
  12. Really makes me nervous. We’re going to concede a lot of goals through mistakes playing this way. We’ve already conceded one against Brighton. I’m all for playing out from the back but if we don’t have the players to do it, Emery needs to recognise this. I’m sure Carlos will help but we’ll probably need a new right back playing this way and maybe even another centre half.
  13. Luiz and Kamara are looking very good in that midfield area. I wouldn’t be spending money on improving this part of the side.
  14. Was thinking of this exact scene!! Love it when Will Smith turns up shortly after.
  15. Size of the bloke! 16? really bad person looks 26!
  16. But you do think he’s overrated and needs to score in the PL or Primera Liga to prove himself, yes?
  17. Licking his wounds after a defeat to Hartlepool at home. Poor result.
  18. Yes. We’ve established that. Does that mean he isn’t very good then?
  19. Exactly. Go with your head, mate. You know he isn’t good enough.
