  1. Of course the Geordies turn into Mourinho's Inter against us at VP
  2. It's crazy how he looks threatening every time he touches the ball. One thing that surprised my about him is his passing. He's been playing some exquisite through balls of late.
  3. I don't know why anyone was ever worried about United. They literally have a neutral goal difference. If we let them finish above us, we don't deserve to be in the CL tbh.
  4. Omobamidele looks like Murillo if he grew out his hair and beard for 1 more month
  5. This is actually funny. Of course Divock Origi turns into Kevin De Bruyne against us
  6. Still mad that we lost to these. Hope we score 10.
  7. Ramsey is like 80% back. Going to be crucial for the run in.
  8. He was just coming back from a lengthy injury so at least it was understandable. By the time Gerrard came in he'd been fit for a while so there really was no excuse anymore. He was at the very least a body in a position where we sorely needed them. When Nakamba got injured, that was supposed to be his chance, but he was nowhere to be seen.
  9. Still sad we didn't get @Teale's 'tache AV diamond as our badge. That was brilliant.
  10. Probably Lambert? When guys like Darren Bent say you're his worst manager (and he's had the likes of Bruce, Pardew etc), I can't imagine too many other people at the club liked him very much. But yeah, Gerrard's unlikeability is made more perplexing by the fact that he is very bad at his job. I imagine he struts around the place like he's Jose, with nothing to back it up. Was probably for the better for Morgan, he wouldn't have wanted to get back up to speed in the PL covering Lucas Digne for 90 minutes every game.
  11. The bolded seemed to be an issue with a lot of JRPGs from that era, from like 2005-2015. I remember thinking exactly this about Kingdom Hearts 2 when it came out. I was just a teenager too, but it bugged the hell out of me. The whole thing was like "go from room A to room B, watch cutscene, do a battle", rinse repeat.
  12. I was going to say that Ajax being in this isn't good for us but actually that's not true.
  13. I remember people making excuses for Gerrard like "well Smith didn't play him either, he must be crap", meanwhile he was injured for 95% of his time with Smith.
  14. Rooting for Hull to get promoted. 15m is nothing and probably offsets whatever profit we made since he's from the academy. It will turn out to basically be like a loan but we didn't have to commit to taking him back amd only will if he tears it up like he looks like he's doing.
  15. Unless we can bring Lautaro Martinez here, we can't replace him. Selling him has to be out of the question.
  16. Seeing him running for that chance he had was the funniest thing I saw all week. He strained every muscle to get there and Ollie was just waiting for him to catch up. He had no energy left for the finish. Diaby probably threw his arms up on the bench when he saw that.
  17. Pep isn't dominating without his 10 £50m defenders to be fair. Money only gets you so far, yes...but in the right hands it's pretty damn far.
  18. He's not lying. Highest they ever finished was 3rd once in the 80's, and a couple of FA Cups in their whole history. You can argue he's eclipsed that in his tenure alone with a European trophy and 3 back to back seasons of European football. All this to say they're an absolute tinpot club who are carried by being in London.
  19. How do you even become that self centered? You would think he was Ancelotti or something, but he's actually just Garry Monk MKII.
  20. With Digne off the books there's a chance
  21. An underrated part of all this was the arrogance to think that Beale would stay a coach/assistant forever so nobody would know that this means he barely knows anything about football. Turns out Beale is just as big of a word removed as Gerrard and has gone and made this quote age like curdled milk in the space of less than 2 years.
  22. This is drastic. For them to catch us something out of the ordinary needs to happen. If things continue on their current path (which is apparently not good on our part), they don't catch us. If they win 4 out of the next 5 and only gain 1 point on us, but can somehow overhaul the other 4 points within 8/9 games? It all sounds a little unlikely doesn't it?
  23. In our "bad" run they have beaten us twice and still only gained 3 points on us. They have a neutral goal difference. This is not some amazing team. It will take something drastic for them to finish above us.
  24. Even with our bad run though, we'd still finish 5th assuming we played like this for the rest of the season. We'd have to be considerably worse to mess this up.
