  1. Gerrard making him captain is turning out to be a masterstroke. Not that he knew what was doing not was McGinn even much of a leader under him, but he's immense for us now. A real leader of men.
  2. I said near the start of the season that he'll hit 30 goals and 20 assists in all comps and people thought I was smoking crack. Just 12 goals and 10 assists to go now.
  3. If we think Luton can beat United away then they can beat us too, at their place in a couple of weeks.
  4. Keyblade

    Unai Emery

He really has a 60% win percentage in the league after 50 games. The guy is unreal.
  5. Need to bring on Diaby if we can't make the breakthrough. Tielemans' lack of pace is holding us back here.
  6. Heck on screen mouthing the word c*cks*cker with a wry smile the cheeky goat
  7. He has the gaffer's support at the very least. He knows he needs time to get up to speed with his performances and in his words he's not "in a hurry to get it". Wish our fans were half as patient as the guy whose job rests on the performance of these players.
  8. We need a gif/video of Unai saying "NOW I AM HERE", for when Tim gets the winner tomorrow.
  9. So if I choose to believe the thing that's not what you choose to believe (which is obvious), I'm fooling myself. Okay. Well that's good because I don't believe either of these things because there's no evidence for them. It's literally some photo of a printed letter. Heck himself could have typed it out for shits and giggles for all I know. If I've learned anything from my time on the internet, it's to not believe anything I read another person say.
  10. Will reserve judgement until there's something more substantive, but either way it's not looking good. But more importantly, I finally know why Heck is getting slagged off all over the board.
  11. One of Nintendo's greatest cockups was pissing off Sony with the Nintendo Playstation debacle and having a cartridge based system in the 5th generation (N64).
  12. If these are the right way round, it's another notch in the bow of the "eye test"
  13. Amazingly, they beat us twice since then and still only gained 3 points on us.
  14. It's obvious his confidence is shit. Have we learned nothing from Bailey? We need to back him. We saw how he can play earlier in the season when he didn't have his swagger sapped away from him by the rigors of the PL.
  15. His ankle/foot got caught in the turf but it was his knee that twisted. Could be innocuous but those can also be really bad if he tore one of those ligaments.
  16. Yeah we really need to have a better chant for Dougie
  17. Diaby always seems to just strike/control the ball too lightly
  18. But he was extremely successful here? In fact, I'd say he played his best football here. He's not exactly Agbonlahor. He was at his most hardworking and professional in his last few seasons here. If he's going to slip into any habits, surely they'd only be good ones? I think your last paragraph would be true had he joined last season but this season and beyond, we're at a level where he's not exactly going to stroll back into the team. If Ramsey gets back up to speed, he is pretty damn good on that left hand side and will run him close. We don't need him like we once did. He'll be a very useful tool, but one of many in our toolbox. If he comes out of it and makes himself undroppable like Bailey has then great, but he's not guaranteed a spot in this Villa team, and certainly wouldn't be given preferential treatment by Unai you would think.
  19. What difference would it make if he went to Newcastle vs Villa? He wouldn't stay at City forever, if anything coming back to Villa you would think would give him more vigor to perform than any other club.
  20. He's better than Ramsey and Zaniolo, so if we had a chance to sign him for a reasonable package, why wouldn't we? Because he made some Villa fans sad a few years ago?
  21. Because he's outspoken and he's an agent. Either one of these things is enough for people to hate him, but in tandem? Might as well be the devil.
  22. I remember people used to say he had a bad attitude or something (probably influenced by their feelings of his dad), and every indication couldn't be further from the truth. He seems to be one of the most humble footballers I've seen. Just took that substitution in his stride and went on to keep improving as a player. Never moans, always ready to come off the bench and make a telling impact.
  23. Forgot how bad Championship football could be. We've really come a long way in a short space of time. It's why I can never understand when people moan about our current team knowing we were playing kick and rush football up to Scott Hogan at the Madejski in the way too recent past.
  24. "reach verbal agreement" Was Fab in the room with Leon and Monchi when this happened?
