    He could have had a very decent career with us if he didn't just give up halfway through the loan. At least he seems to have learnt and knuckled down but how long it'll last is anybody's guess.

    If we qualify for the CL I can't see us getting rid of Digne and Carlos. I'm not sure either of them would fancy going to Saudi Arabia, reality seems to have sunk in for many of those who went there and it might put off players in the future.

    From what I remember, Moreno had made some sort of mistake just before and Unai lost his rag a bit. I think Digne was either taking the bullet for him as part of the left back union or being told he's going to be coming on for him. Ended up changing it straight after the yellow card in the second half.

    Job done and pretty good for the most part. Conceding the two goals at pretty awful times was a pain in the arse but Emery doesn't do panic and I felt pretty comfortable for the last half hour. Chambers did a decent job considering we all thought he was on the scrapheap. Let's hope Pau's not hurt and/or Ezri is back soon.

    I used to hate going through all my shit then heading to the dump and there being a massive queue of people. The appointments are a godsend imo.

    I get that but at the same time I think many of us trying to get our head round the logic of us seemingly not wanting to do anything to the ground now. They can't really be looking to get another decade at least out of it the way it is, with a refurbed warehouse added on.

    I read that the RFU are thinking of selling Twickenham. Utd could buy that and move closer to their fanbase.

    I was thinking perhaps we could take over the Alexander Stadium site, then build an equivalent-sized athletics venue where Villa Park is. There must have been a lot of infrastructure work done for the Commonwealth Games and lots of room to build a 50k-60k stadium there. Buy the land off the council (I assume they own it?), sell VP at a discount in return.

    I think Cash would actually be quite attractive to other PL teams and maybe even teams in Germany. He's 26 and played for several seasons in the PL now and his book value for us must be quite small. I think about £20m or so could be made off him anyway. I do worry that it may be Martinez we have to sell if we don't get in the Champions League. He's at that age where he must be thinking it's now or never to play in the CL. Anyway it's ridiculous we have to talk about sales so much when in reality we are in no actual danger financially with our owners.

    Thing is we complain about refs until they do something about it and give a new guy from a lower level his first go, then give him pelters as well. I don't think he was that bad, probably reffed it like a Championship match and the VAR let him down in one or two things.

    Again, they drew the lines with Moreno's shoulder/shoulder blade, you can see the dotted lines, Bailey had nothing to do with it.

    I thought the ref was actually quite good, it must have been his first PL match? I've never seen him before anyway. The VAR let him down with the penalty on Watkins. Utterly baffled by that. Massive save from Martinez to clinch the points, there was no way we deserved not to win today. Ollie is fantastic.

    Yep it's utterly laughable that they don't. I'm sure Urinal's corner wouldn't have been given for their first goal last week with automated offside. This one looks a fair enough decision to me.

    I think from the way he is leaning it's his shoulder blade that's offside. Really close but I think it was a fair call.

    Anyway Heck comes across as a bit of a bell end so I suspect he is one and not used to a different way of working other than a hiring-and-firing American one. It would help if he bothered to clear up the badge and North Stand stuff. It just seems as if he is hiding. If he does use the word 'cocksucker' then he is bang out of order. It's a horrid, homophobic and misogynistic insult and would deserve sacking just for that.
