  1. Rashford is average, just runs quick. Grealish, Foden and Mount have to start as they are the most in-form players. Rice and Bellingham sitting deeper would be great.
  2. Based on tonight Rashford is poor, he just seems to run fast. His control of the ball at times was very bad. Sam Johnstone made two great saves. Ward-Prowse was very good and so too Bellingham again. Grealish was brilliant again, really has to be starting games as he frightens opponents. Lee Dixon said as soon as he gets the ball the defenders just took a step back allowing him space. He looks like he is finding form after an average performance against Austria (yet still the best player on the pitch) he was more his self against Romania. If England can somehow get Grealish, Kane, Foden and Mount all in the first eleven we could be in for some good games. Who cares what happens in defence, we could just outscore the opposition!
  3. I like Ward-Prowse, had a debate with someone here in the Summer Transfer thread a few months ago. So I spent awhile comparing his statistics with McGinn, he outperforms McGinn and he is clinical from free-kicks which we so drastically need. If Buendia is close to £40million what is Ward-Prowse worth? Maybe Saints need our money?
  4. Too many foreign fans is their problem, they all jumped on the bandwagon when they had success.
  5. Excellent. Where did you order the CD from? I noticed Amazon France of all places seemed the cheapest option but I haven't checked again today!
  6. From the outside and looking in: which is the steadier ship? Aston Villa and Dean Smith or Arsenal and Arteta?
  7. @rjw63 Just pre-ordered the 4lp colour vinyl for £79.99, it seems only 500 copies available. Think I'll have to get the CD too as it'll have extra tunes!
  8. Grealish, Traore and Buendia could all interchange thus bamboozling the opposition so much they will vomit and fall over enabling Aston Villa to score!
  9. Watched for a couple of minutes until his annoyingly whiny high-pitched voice made me switch off!
  10. Personally I don't understand all the criticism of Southgate and England, aren't most of us here English? OK first of all Villa but I would love England to do well. Many seem to dislike Southgate but I'd like to see him have success. England have some brilliant players and if they click I hope we could do well. Kane, Grealish, Foden are up there with the best in Europe. The right-back thing is a misnomer, Walker is like a Quarter-back in the NFL and he wants to get involved higher up the pitch and influence the game. Alexander-Arnold is similar and Reece James finished the season playing in midfield for Chelsea and can also play Centre-back. We only need one of Henderson or Phillips sitting as this team should be dominating possession at the very least in the group phase.
  11. Not a likeable fellow is he? OK he's just lost a final but seriously get a personality.
  12. Could see this coming... Ancellotti never stay for too long, about two years is his average. Only a week or two ago Ancellotti was critical of the ESL shenanigans and now he can't get paid fast enough. Football lost morality a few decades ago, money talks.
  13. Buendia main priority, failing that McNeil is back-up it would seem.
  14. Good news. If he does stay for another year and have a good season then we'll probably be in Europe. The season after that who knows we should be aiming for top six or better. Hence Grealish should just stay and become the greatest footballer Villa have ever had.
  15. Douglas Luiz is going to be some player in the near future, he's still learning. Be patient.
  16. I like McNeil, solid stats, improving every year, young with massive potential to improve and he's been doing all this at a s***house football club. Sign him up.
  17. So Grealish is going to take who's position at City? Gündoğan, Sterling or De Bruyne? I just can't see it to be honest and the price £100 million is way too low for NSWE I'd have thought.
  18. I've said this numerous times, the statistic has been evident most of the season. Emi Martinez is among the keepers who got relegated or are bottom of the table for shots saved, this is a working statistic as it means our midfield aren't protecting us enough. Once the attackers are through there is only so much the defence can do for blocking. I still think the midfielders are making it tough for us with their consistency in giving the ball away (McGinn).
  19. I've only watched Leeds play twice this season so can't really comment on Bamford. From what commentators and pundits have said though, he does not seem to offer that something different from Kane, Calvert-Lewin and Watkins.
  20. I think everything was all lined up which is why Sadiku and Romano were reporting it and then Frank Baumann tried to squeeze a little extra money from us.
  21. See I don't think that's the case... Bremen were trying to create a 'bidding war' for the player.
  22. At 29 I can't see anyone desperate enough to drop £40 million for Zaha.
  23. Everyone of those flops is the same: back to the opposing player and goes down under minimal contact. OK sure Grealish 'milks' a few too but at least he's more often than not used his skill and technique to take a player on and then been fouled. Dirty Leeds!
