    Smith-Rowe was number one target I feel? Personally i'd rather Bailey anyway. I know both players are slightly different positions but it would be nice to think we are looking at a fluid front three in support of Watkins; players comfortable in numerous roles.

    If it wasn't a good touch as you incorrectly say Wesley would have needed to stop or check his run; he didn't he kept running with the ball and played his pass. There was no backwards, he kept running towards goal. It was a great pass from Davis, a neat touch from Wesley and an even better pass onto the run of Philogene-Bidace. A well-worked goal. Swear to McGrath some people just want to be negative to have an argument. The pre-season matches are about fitness and match-fitness, two aspects Wesley has greatly missed for what seems like years. He's going to take some time, chill.

    Wesley ran through and took the ball with the outside of his right foot away from the defender. You seem to think was a mistake fine; i'll prefer to think of it positively. If it was a poor first touch it might have been intercepted or ran away from him. However he still weighted the ball perfectly for Philogene-Bidace.

    Good thoughts, it is indeed a marketing dream. It's all about social media now... A tie-in between the Bucks and Villa would be massive.

    He did indeed, nice hold-up and pass inch-perfect to Philogene-Bidace. I echo the sentiment of an earlier poster, Wesley started the second-half well and then the whole team dropped off later in the half. Hopefully the players can improve throughout the pre-season games.

    Was lucky enough to still be living in Brum when Platt was playing for us and watched him at Villa Park loads. As an impressionable ten year old he was one of my favourite players, his goalscoring record at Villa was phenomenal.

    I have a feeling it'll be the young guns tonight with a sprinkling of Wesley, Young, Cash etc. However yesterday an Instagram post featured a photo of Buendia and a caption hinting he'd play tonight. That would be great to see him play.

    I already pay SKY about £100 per month, but I wish I could give that money to Villa and see all our games. I don't really care about watching other teams anymore.

    Perhaps it is a statement that Grealish does not want to fight for a place at City and therefore would not move if he was not a guaranteed starter? That's how I see Collymore's recent tweet.

    Must admit if Grealish goes it will be the same old story, as soon as we get close a bigger team takes our top player away. I went cold on Villa for awhile after the inevitable ' cherry picking' of Barry, Milner, Benteke and Delph. Was hoping the same would not happen again. Don't understand why a week ago Collymore was adamant Grealish was staying and now he's not sure. Isn't he supposed to know the Grealish family?

    Jim White was tweeting Grealish was going weeks ago and now he uses the papers to justify it. Absolute word removed...at the time White stated "our sources tell us it's a done deal". I hope Grealish stays, I hope Kane stays. It still wouldn't stop idiots like White trying to sell them unfortunately.
