  1. The same Daily Mail that stated the takeover was set to fail which was then shot down by every news source in the UK including the BBC? I hope they are right but at the same time they are hard to be believed currently.
  2. It's been going on for about 2 weeks and the average time for a takeover to start and get ratified by the authorities is about 4 weeks. So if it gets done in the next couple of days then we are on the fast side of it, if it takes another 7-10 then we're on the slower side of the scale.

    Xbox One

As for E3 predictions; Hardware; Xbox One Slim will be unveiled. Xbox Mini will be unveiled as a streaming box, likely peer to peer over WiFi. Similar to Steam Link. New Xbox One Controller. More than likely a budget version of Xbox Elite. No premium materials or swappable controls, but the four paddles and trigger stops like the Elite. Talk of Scorpio will happen, but no reveal of hardware form factor or any confirmation of just how powerful it is. Software; Battlefield 1 will likely lead the show with a new trailer followed by world-first gameplay. Halo Wars 2 will make an appearance, likely during a segment showing their commitment to gaming on Windows 10. Gears of War 4 single player campaign footage. Forza Horizon 3 will be announced with a trailer complete with confirmation that it is for Xbox One and Windows 10. New IP (Microsoft are now down a game thanks to Fable Legends, likely the right time to unveil an all new IP) Crackdown 3 will likely show a new trailer, perhaps even on-stage gameplay showing off the cloud tech to the world. Release window may be hinted too. Scalebound will likely appear with a new trailer and a more accurate 2017 release date. ReCore will be mentioned but likely no more than an in-engine trailer. Another Indie sizzle reel of games coming to Xbox One and Xbox One Preview Program. Misc; A lot of this section will depend on what deals they have in place. I don't think we will see anything on stage from Bethesda unless Microsoft have a deal for Dishonored 2. We may see a few from EA on top of Battlefield 1. More than likely FIFA '17 and Titanfall 2, but EA are showing off a lot this year so who knows. From UbiSoft we will likely see a trailer for the first expansion for The Division. Maybe gameplay from Ghost Recon: Wildlands as well. Unlikely; Elder Scrolls. While I would love a sequel to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim we are still in Fallout 4 season so they won't want to derail the momentum of that. Red Dead Redemption 2. While this has leaked Take Two have already come out to state that Rockstar have no game releases planned for a couple years. All in all if even half of this happens and I played it very safe it's going to be a very packed 90 minute conference. I feel many people looking for 2016 game release hype will come away from it feeling a bit flat, but that is the nature of the beast at the 3 year mark. The industry tends to go in 2 year increments with the Gen 2/Gen 4/Gen 6 games being the big hype stuff and we are seeing that. 2017 is Gen 4 and we are seeing Mass Effect: Andromeda, Crackdown 3, ReCore, Scalebound and Scorpio lined up for that. Compare that to Gen 3 this year and it's all a bit tame really.

    Xbox One

Q1 2017 more than likely the same as the PlayStation NEO. Microsoft are already behind Sony so giving them even more time to rack up sales with a new supercharged system isn't something they want. Xbox Scorpio if the specs are accurate (1.4x more powerful than NEO) could be the time for a resurgence as this gen has already shown that gamers are more clued up than companies thought. In surveys the most popular feature of PS4 over Xbox One was frame rate and resolution, it stands to reason then that an Xbox Scorpio if priced competitively would decimate the PlayStation NEO if it was vastly more powerful.
  5. I've also never seen a chairman attacked so brazenly that he needs to prove his wealth. If Xia got £10 million for every time he was asked how much he's worth he'd be a billionaire even if he wasn't before hand. It's borderline racism that he's getting the treatment he is just because he's Chinese. Yes he's a very private man but that doesn't mean he lacks the funds. There are lots of billionaires in the UK that no one in this country knows about as not everyone is Richard Branson living in the media 24/7. I think if he was trying to convince people of something he is not he would be showing off far more than just a bank statement from a recent sale. He has done the bare minimum that he is comfortable of doing, he doesn't want his wealth out there for whatever reason and the public and the media should respect that. Maybe he is a con artist but on the flip side maybe he isn't. Personal wealth is a very personal thing. Xia keeping that to himself doesn't make him a bad guy.
  6. Di Matteo if everything is true, if he comes here then it's all but done. He would not be coming in if the takeover wasn't as good as done. The club have likely heard from those doing fit and proper that the real serious obstacles are passed, it's just finalising the little things. It has been seen in the past that clubs have passed fit and proper with conditions added, it may just be that will be the case here.
  7. Typically click bait doesn't appear under the lead in article, our news is lumped in with far more important B-Team talk, yet based on how Daily Mail has dealt with us the news of Xia if truly accurate would be its own article which could mean it's bullshit.
  8. Pretty much yeah. Good luck paying that back while remaining competitive in the Premier League.
  9. It saddens me actually that WWE is their ceiling if they want to make some real good money wrestling for a living. Sure WWE is changing slowly and eventually the whole product will likely be to that standard, but until then if the likes of Will Ospreay if they were to come into WWE in next 6-12 months they would be jobbing out to Reigns before they knew it. That match was phenomenal but outside of NXT we are so far off getting that in WWE main which is a shame cause I would love to tune into Raw every week and see that kind of quality rather than having to see it on YouTube.
  10. See there are a lot of players in our side from last season that will probably roll the Championship with ease. That said I'm still not sure he deserves to play another season for us.
  11. My main concern with Grealish is he's like the kid hanging around with the bad kids at school. He's good friends with Gabby and likely whoever Gabby also hangs out with at the club who are also likely words removed. I have a feeling he will go one of two ways when the likes of Gabby are given the boot, he will sulk like he did when Sherwood got the boot or he'll turn over a new leaf with less distractions on the training ground. His prior form though states he'll likely go off the rails even further when his friends are all kicked from the club.
  12. To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere by Thrice Thrice have to be one of my favourite bands and in 2011 it seemed they were gone forever. After several solo projects they decided to make a come back and this is the culmination of that. This album builds off their 'post-hardcore' roots while taking into consideration their more recent album 'Major/Minor' to craft what is simply a great slice of modern rock music.
  13. Okay so we're seemingly on a similar pace as every other club in recent times. So if it takes another week or two then it will have only taken a month post-takeover which is in line with most of the others. Considering we are being looked into by the FA and Football League that's surely not bad going. I'm amazed how long the last 2 weeks have felt and that is largely the problem, the authorities in charge are likely moving fast but because we want it done even faster it feels like it's dragging on.
  14. Oh if I had a pound for every old friend that called me to tell me something conveniently at odds with something I had previously said I would have zero pounds... Oh boy let the back-pedalling commence shall we!
  15. There were players last season that showed fight and some glimmers of quality. Ayew for instance at times he seemed like the only one that gave a shit. In other games despite his lack of quality Westwood looked like he cared. Same for players like Gana, Veretout, Adama and Clark. I would even say that Okore showed a willingness to fight for our cause that many didn't, I mean yes he refused to sit on the bench but his protest was because he wanted to play not because he didn't, his heart was in the right place he just executed his plan poorly. We have half a team that on their day are good players with a commitment to Aston Villa, the issue is when the other half of the team are pulling in the opposite direction the whole operation falls apart.
  16. Damn that before and after is inspirational.. Anyone that is overweight by a little bit or even by a lot that is hitting the gym, just look at Petrov now. He's in better shape than Gabby.
  17. As much as a day out at Wembley would be absolutely awesome, I just want us to get promoted. A day out at Wembley could easily end horribly if we lost.
  18. That is likely what will happen anyway. There is reported concern over Samuelson and other members of the board, but they likely just want Xia's assurance of their exact job role in the club. After that provided Xia can provide some documentation that he has money and more in reserve then it's likely smooth sailing. That said we have to wait for the Football League to start the process which won't be until at least Tuesday, it's clear to me at this point they are waiting for the Championship season to officially conclude first.
  19. The 1070 is a beast. It's also absurdly cheap for the power of it. I bought my 980Ti for £640 last year and the 1070 is between 5-10% more powerful than it for like £320 or something like that. You'll see games like The Division go from 60FPS on High to 80-90FPS on Ultra, DOOM go from 60FPS on Ultra to around 120+FPS on Ultra Nightmare settings it's gonna be a beast.
  20. @Davkaus Damn man!! That card looks so good and it's gonna be one hell of a beast. The GTX 1080 is the first card that can play almost any game out now at 4K60 with settings at High, I'm not much of a fan of 4K but damn that's a sweet feature to boast for any GPU. I gotta say if I didn't already have a very very good factory OC'd GTX 980Ti running a custom PCB I'd have bought one of these beasts. Enjoy the card my friend! Gaming is gonna feel so freakin' good again seeing as you're coming from a GTX 580..
  21. Mick Gordon an Australian based composer did the soundtrack for DOOM. He is also known for doing the soundtrack to the latest Wolfenstein game, Wolfenstein: The New Order as well as Killer Instinct Season 1 and Season 2 for Microsoft. He's a very talented composer and one that is getting more work as his name gets around, he's only been active in the gaming space since 2006 so he's very much a baby of the industry.
  22. He's already taken a team up to the Premier League. Did it with a tally of 91 points which is normally enough to win the league outright, were also the second highest scorers in the league that season with 89 goals. They came second on both fronts due to Newcastle who came 1st with 102 points scoring 90 goals on the way. Di Matteo knows what it takes to not only storm the Championship but get a team playing towards a solitary goal. Whether he can do that after building a team is unknown, but his quality in getting a team promoted isn't really in question.
  23. Largely because fans with short attention spans made him out to be a villain. Ask any West Brom fan and they will likely forget that he got them promoted and just talk about how he didn't get them top half in their first season back. Chelsea fans will always discredit his Champions League and FA Cup triumphs, instead focusing on the fact he got them eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage and got fired (despite the team being 2nd in the league at the time). He's received undue hate from ungrateful fans it's hard not to see him negatively despite the fact that his accomplishments in such a short time make him nothing short of a prodigy compared to most managers, I mean he's only been in the management game for approximately 4 years.
  24. Ah Bacuna.. What a legend, far too good for this club and the Premier League.. He could talk such a good game, knew the Champions League like the back of his hand. Barcelona are lucky to have him..
  25. Just bought The Witcher 3 + Expansion Pass.. I have the game on Xbox One but the PC version was staring at me earlier today and the new expansion just dropped. Thinking I will indulge in a bit of a gaming binge this weekend, cannot wait.
