  1. Hell if a man as busy as Xia can make it to at least 5 games this coming season he gets so much respect from me. Lerner barely made it to 5 games in his 10 years here and for like 6 years of that Aston Villa was his only priority. Xia is a busy man I mean we all saw the paperwork in his office and piles of ledgers, he's not going to have lots of time but he's going to make time for this club including moving to Birmingham. Seriously Lerner, this guy hasn't even passed fit and proper yet and he's already vastly more suited to running a club than you were..
  2. It seems to be closer to £10 billion if he sells off every asset and stake he has, so enough to comfortably run a football club. That said his "worth" will be a fluctuating thing and constantly changing as he is set to buy a US Logistics firm for $3.5 billion in the coming months, suffice to say the guy has cash in some form or another.
  3. Not to mention and correct me if I am wrong @Deisler123 but when it is pronounced SHA it means "stupid". So they are literally welcoming him as "Hello Mr. Stupid" it's rather unfortunate.
  4. To get more into the country when it inevitably runs out. Just an assumption given China's strict money laws.
  5. It was stated in a past article that the FA reject 20 takeovers for every 1 takeover that succeeds. I get the feeling that if this was to fail it would have failed already.
  6. Possibly depending how much of the "good" players we manage to keep. We'll also be utilising the good players from our youth setup as well. Of course the amount we can spend on great Championship players ultimately depends on how much of the core starting 11 leave this Summer. The more that leave the more the budget has to stretch to buy more and more players. So the goal should be to keep the likes of Ayew, Gana, Veretout, Gestede, Adama, Clark, Okore, Grealish and build around them. I think a selection of those hopefully all of them plus some players used to the Championship will make for a strong side.
  7. I doubt he will. He admitted in a past interview that he was a bit surprised at how much attention it was getting him, but on the other hand the worst is beyond him. He's done his media duties with CNN. He's done his media duties with almost all the "honourable" press in the UK. Aside from maybe doing a high profile interview for Fox or CBS in the US then the vast majority of his media duties are done. He may get the odd request to talk when a manager is appointed but nothing to the extent of what he's currently doing though.
  8. No they cost about £8-£10 million. That said if we play it right we won't be looking to replace a whole squad with £50 million. If we can keep any of the semi-decent players from last season like Ayew, Amavi, Gana, Verteout, Gestede, Clark and to a lesser extent Grealish as he has potential still. If we can then buy some solid £6-£10 million players for the rest of the gaps we'll be golden. Yes £8-£10million gets you a good if not great Championship player, but many teams only have one or two players that good if at all. It only takes a club to buy up several of them and they are in a commanding position.
  9. Exactly like I said last week I trust what he is saying because he is saying it globally. He's not doing an interview for some kid running a blog that only 5 people will see, he is out there doing face to face interviews with every media organisation that will have him. Why does that make me trust him? Well if you were not legit and knew your claims were absolute bullshit, would you make these claims on a global scale? No you would do interviews with the publications with the smallest reach or just flat out reject any media presence. Tony Xia is setting himself up for the biggest fall imaginable if he's proven to be a complete fraud a year from now, he'll be a well known name for all the wrong reasons so he's legit in my eyes.
  10. Shite scouting team something Xia has already stated in the media are getting nuked, sure the team he appoints may not be any better but at least he's already figured out the general problem. He was also asked what his favourite player was and he responded saying "not many good ones". He knows what's up.. £50 million of Xia monies is likely going to be spent far more wisely than £50 million of Benteke/Snake monies.
  11. He's clearly not one for public speaking in front of camera's, I mean not everyone is a natural performer that turns it on the second the camera is on, he's a regular normal dude that likely cannot wait for the media frenzy to die down a bit. At least he understands that it's because he bought one of the worlds oldest and most prestigious clubs, he won't be hounded like this a month from now he just has to weather the storm.
  12. He's more a victim of modern ruthless football.. He was fired at Chelsea when they were 2nd in the league. Yes their CL campaign wasn't going great, but with the FA Cup and the League Cup they were still on for doing a treble. Yet they sacked him even though the fans were still firmly on board, they weren't concerned. He was sacked from West Brom after a concerning run of form but they were no where near close to getting relegated and it was their first season back in the league, it's mere delusions of grandeur to expect consistent Top 10 football from a newly promoted side something we will have to be aware of when we get promoted. End of it all though they finished 11th as the team got used to the league again. The RDM hate is ridiculous to me. A club in our position would be insanely lucky to get manager who's highest win percentage is 57% and his lowest is 42%. His lowest win percentage is higher than Martin O'Neill's. His highest win percentage is higher by a good 8% than any manager in our clubs history, you gonna turn that down just because he has some spells of off form which considering how new he is at management is to be expected.
  13. That said I would still give him credit for doing it. Lerner seemed oblivious to the issues at the club for almost his entire tenure here, Xia doesn't even have his foot in the door yet and he's already improved the club.
  14. He's also outlined one of our biggest faults and he's not even in the door yet. He's scrapping the scouting team. I can't wait to see what he manages to do when he's in the country and starts day to day work.
  15. "Takeover is good, fit and proper going well. XIA IN!" Boom!! 10 words!!

    Windows 10

I've been on Windows 10 for over a year with no issues, but I can understand how it can be rather annoying having it forced on you like it has been. The only thing I dislike is having to periodically check up on settings I turned off to make sure they didn't turn on again, but aside from that I'm a fan of Windows 10 but I'm also a big PC gamer so as all games switch to DX12 I'd need Windows 10 to play them so they got me regardless.
  17. Yorke is a legend but I find his infatuation with managing us to be a little embarrassing. Go out into the wild first and get some decent real world experience as a manager please..
  18. @Sam3773 End of the line if this fails. I don't see the second party being all that enthused in taking over after being rejected no matter how nice we were about it. If this fails we are likely in for another season with Lerner and we all know how that will end.
  19. Not to mention as Xia has stated already a lot of his wealth is in businesses. He stated when he mentioned that he sold Teamax for £430 million that he had plenty more businesses that could sell for similar or more money. If he's merely rationing out his spending money through businesses then he could easily be worth several billion dollars if he sold them all. I don't think having all your money in property and business gets you on these richest lists as they only care about personal wealth.
  20. I doubt it but the more people seem to convince themselves of the fact he is without any solid evidence to prove otherwise then I guess he's as guilty as it gets..
  21. Well it better go through cause large sums of money or not if it fails and we have to keep Lerner we are heading into League One guaranteed..
  22. We're a Championship club we get what the league dictates we should have pretty much. If Moyes thinks he's too big to come here then that rules out most of the actually decent managers out there. Fortunately RDM seems pretty grounded and down to earth, it's not often a Champions League winning manager is tipped to come to a Championship club. Not to mention he has experience getting promoted from the Championship as well as winning the Champions League and FA Cup so he's probably our best shot given all other candidates.
  23. Sounds similar to what he'd have here if Xia is telling the truth. I mean £50 million+ in the Championship is insane.
  24. Good to see he's following our youth set up it's the most successful aspect of the club these days.
  25. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Leicester have as much chance next season of getting relegated as they do successfully defending the title. They are very much an outlier and until proven sustainable no club should base themselves on them. I am not saying what they achieved isn't impressive but it's also a one off until proven otherwise.
