  1. Maybe we had a shortlist of goalkeepers that would do a job for us. That list would have been devised by Battara and who knows maybe Gollini was top of that list, our first choice if we could get him. I mean yeah he lacks experience but he's also young enough to be trained into a world class talent, I mean Battara if I recall is largely to thank for Joe Hart being as good as he has been the last 6+ years (ignore the Euros).
  2. The outgoings can easily screw us. Yes not getting rid of the like of Gabby, Richards and Lescott sucks but the fact that none of Ayew, Adama, Gana, Veretout, Amavi, Grealish, Okore have gone is great news as they are players that could likely do some work for us this season. The outgoings is a double edged sword so for now I think we're doing alright
  3. RDM's hands are probably tied with some of the players we have, I mean he likely doesn't want them but short of buying them out of their contract no one is going to buy them off us. If RDM can get some of these wasters even Gabby back playing something semi-decent then they could be an asset on the bench, in what will be a long 46 game season not counting cup games.
  4. It's not because he's rich it's because he committed the crime in Spain. Any of us could go over there and commit a crime that typically gets less than 2 years in prison and not serve jail time. It's just how the Spanish legal system works, it is also why pick pocketing is out of control in Spain because light crime isn't punished all that severely.
  5. Xia is just a trendsetter.. 2-3 years from now we'll all be rocking the fitted body long arms style of suit, he's a pioneer. Don't knock it until you've long armed a suit..

    Andrew Stone

He is a piece of the puzzle. Yes his CV reads well because of the scouting team he was a part of at Southampton, but he's likely here to also assist in setting up a similar structure here. I mean their scouting team is insane. Sure probably similar to most other well run clubs but we don't have anything like that, we have never really had anything like that and looking at the kind of hit and miss signings we make it's likely down to that. So yeah Andrew Stone may not be the singular saviour that hand selected every gem Southampton uncovered, but he may be the head of a soon to be formed scouting team to be proud of.
  7. Oh I can relate when it comes to feeling stingy with game prices. These days I rarely buy anything on PC full price unless it has some sentimental worth to me as a series like I bought Doom because of the previous three games. Though Steam sales have killed any need to buy a game on release, but on the other hand I find it does promote bulk buying and I never get around to playing a quarter of what I've bought.
  8. Nice haul! Some absolutely stellar games there This is the first Steam sale that I have actively ignored largely because the sale page refreshes and 80% of it has the tag "In Library" so I've largely bought every game that interests me currently, but the other reason is that I have a 600+ game backlog of games across Xbox One, PS4, Steam, Origin, uPlay, Battle.net and GOG which will never get tackled if I buy another 10-20 games in this sale.
  9. Fortunately I don't see Portugal beating Wales. Maybe Wales will miss Ramsey more than I think they will, but Portugal have nothing but Ronaldo and he has been average for them as always.
  10. Oh I swear if I was Hummels missing the next match cause the word removed I tackled dived I would give the tournament hosts a proper reason to suspend me by knocking him out..
  11. I think we were always going to expect more. Yes we have money and yes our transfer budget this Summer is like 2-3x higher than 90% of teams in the Championship, but RDM would be rushing things if he didn't take at least a week to gauge his current squad on the training pitch.
  12. How are Belgium not leading.. Gotta finish those Lukaku..
  13. Based on the kit we aren't having one likely because we aren't planning to be in the league long. It's likely a lot of work setting up deals with sponsors when if all goes well they wouldn't be a sponsor next season. So maybe we'll seek one out if this season in the Championship isn't a breeze but right now it seems the club are being respectful to the Championship but are also expecting to win the league if not come second.
  14. My main concern is that we will give up on him and he'll then go on to be a good player for someone else. Some players just don't seem to perform when it comes to this great club for whatever reason.
  15. Colourblind? Theirs was literally sky blue all over with a slab of claret in the middle.. Quite a difference. Our new away kit is basically our '97/'98 season away kit.
  16. Well since you put it that way.. We're doing amazingly. New kit. New Manufacturer. Top Of The League!!
  17. I amazed we actually have an advertisement Under Armour be treating us good.. Normally we are just shown a static image of the players wearing the kit, now we have an advert teasing the kit and everything.. We are moving up in the world of football at least in terms of the kit perhaps not league position..
  18. AVFC official Twitter posted a teaser of the away kit and it's Sky Blue with White.
  19. Sky blue with white.. If they have a claret stripe somewhere on that shirt then it's a remake of the away shirt Reebok made like 20 years ago.
  20. Sale season these days never impresses me but it's been several years since I had only 5 games on Steam which was likely the last time a Steam sale excited me. When you have over 600 games on PC and almost 300 of those are on Steam these sales are always sub-par, I am insanely jealous of anyone with only a handful of games right now just filling their boots with great cheap game after cheap game.
  21. Premier League here we come!!!
  22. Currently playing Costume Quest 2.. It's a good bit of old school fun, it's not a great game with huge production value but it harks back to days of old where all games were far more simple.
  23. Two titles may be the least pressing issue going forward based on some of the industry insider talk. There is talk that WWE are set to announce 8 more PPV's on top of the current 12 already in circulation. The thinking behind that is 8 PPV's for Raw, 8 PPV's for Smackdown and 4 shared (Royal Rumble, Summerslam, Survivor Series and Wrestlemania). I'm down for that but I've always tuned in to WWE more for the wrestling than the storylines, but I fear that those that hold interest solely through the drama and storylines may get burned out. What I am curious about is how they would book two PPV's. I would assume there would be a staggered timeline so one brand has a PPV mid-month every 4-5 weeks and one brand takes the usual end of the month slot. I just feel that they may go full overload mode and just have one PPV on the Saturday and the other the following day on Sunday, it would certainly be a very WWE type decision to make.
